I love Mr wonky and Mr pompous they are lovely Penny. 🐶🐶 I am so envious of Mum and yourself at this stage it’s must be a precious memory for you so very heartwarming to hear the wonderful stories. What lovely skin you and Mum have, very youthful. My Nan used to visit like Mum when neighbours were in labour or poorly. They used to knock on her door when someone had passed away and she would ‘lay them out’ putting pennies on their eyes 😮😅 as a child I was a little scared when adults discussed this happening. I’m looking forward to hearing more true stories ❤❤🎉

Penny this is Wonderful, I've really enjoyed watching it, there is a little bit of everything I love and I've been introduced to quilting... the way you described the pillow pointing at the pattern really open my eyes, so cool xx

Well, I made it all the way through 7 episodes today while working on a wedding quilt for my oldest granddaughter. You tube chose you for my feed, I didn't even have to search. They just knew I would like it. My biggest laugh of the day was when you told about opening a pattern with all of the sizes and almost lost your will to live. Still laughing. Tonight I watched a bit while crocheting on the couch, and now my Al is hooked as well. Michigan is a great place to live, but my ancestors have left me with an affinity for England and the English.

Well done, watching seven episodes! How lovely working on a wedding quilt. Are you doing it by hand? It's true about the pattern - so awkward to work with it. Any particular part of England or just England!!??

@@penelopeschinwag I have had only 2 two week visits to England, but did spend a night in Canterbury, which was like visiting another era. So it is fun hearing about your visits there. An ancestry tour spent a lot of time in Kent County. Then my sis and I did a week in London and a week in Lincoln.

Hi Penny, its Leonie from Australia and just wanted to tell you a little about my Mum, she was born in 1930 and she was raised by my Grandmother alone. She worked 3 jobs to afford to send her to a boarding school in the country so she would be safe during the war..... my Mum always said that she was sent away to get rid of her and she believed that all her life, so sad. She lived until 4 days before her 90th birthday. My husband and I looked after her for 5 years. I got to here many of her stories too its such a blessing isnt it.
My Grandmother was the most beautiful woman she was my favorite person in all the world she didn't have a mean bone in her body.❤

Thanks so much for sharing that Leonie, and all the way from Australia! How UA-cam unites us. Isn't that sad that a childhood feeling stayed with your mum. It probably broke your Grandmother's heart to send her away - wanting the best for your mum. With counselling your Mum may have changed her viewpoint and see it as it really was. Sadly not recognised way back when. How lovely you heard all the stories. I appreciated that so much with my mum too. xx

brilliant pillow top! now i see what you meant by doing tumbling blocks with EPP - i think i also saw the mitshubisi logo in there! i just love old photos - if you hadn't said, i'd sworn that your mother's mum was the queen mother! and i loved learning about the gannet - made me go fetch my bird books to have a look. and i really loved the live shots - i'm thinking the flying swarms were the gannets, but in your first photo, just beyond the puffin - what is the beautiful all-over-black bird with the fine white trim? beauty! thanks for these pene - still haven't caught up with 'today', but i'm super enjoying knitting to you and your mum, who is a complete delight.
