You didn't listen to the video. Mr. Forbes didn't say anything of the sort. It's the bureaucrats who have their own agenda & instead of going to a vote in Congress will curry favor by Gov't. agencies to enact their 'wish list'. The biggest abuser of their Office is the EPA & the CDC. Like Mr. Forbes said, it costs the American People & Businesses $T's a year. Has nothing to do w/ corporations getting their 'way'. That's whiner talk.

The People of this country are the problem. They continually vote for politicians who promise to use government in a manner other than that which the Founding Fathers designed it to do. The ENTIRE 4th branch of government, the administrative state, the alphabet soup, is UNCONSTITUTIONAL, and should not even exist. The THREE branches defined in the US Constitution can do everything that our federal government was designed to do. This unconstitutional 4th branch of government was designed to funnel all of your money into projects that benefit the rich and powerful, and I don't think anyone can reasonably say that they all still serve any other purpose than unconstitutional control of the economy and the People of this country.

We are guaranteed in writing enshrined in our constitution that we will always be a Republic as stated by article 4 section 2 of the u.s. constitution during the constitutional convention in Philadelphia between May and September 1796 the delegates argued long and hard about what form of government the new nation should take. The article of confederation that had governed the United States after the Revolutionary war ended had created a very weak central government that had no power to manage trade print a single currency or pass or enforce laws that all the States would universally agree to. It was a nation on the verge of collapse that sounds familiar huh?. I could go on . You can read this yourself I read the whole dam thing all their arguments . Ask yourself how you did we get here!

Ask Boeing about the missing bolts or rivets and what the FAA did in the past about it even when a semblance of regulation was in place.
Now, the industry will be free to do as they please and nobody will regulate the trains that get off the rails or the airplane doors that fly out.

Steve Forbes is an oligarch that speaks for big business and the ultra-rich. The elimination of Chevron deference leaves the courts to decide on technical issues of all regulations instead of the experts that were put in place in the agencies that are now rendered powerless. And the courts keeping up with all of the decisions to protect the general puplic, that are no longer spread across the appropriate departments, will be an impossible task.

They create regulations drafted by people familiar with the job of the particular agency, that are persuasive but not controlling on the courts. Taking away power from the agencies allows more power to the courts. With the present status of the federal courts, this is excellent for big business and horrible for consumers. I think this will make politicians do their job to remove ambiguity from their laws. Purposely passing laws to manipulate an ambiguity loophole so that their "expert" can call shots is ripe for corruption. This is important for my state where they want to get rid of Natural Gas as a fuel source citing cherry picked data that split hairs for efficiency. Millions of homes have natural gas water heaters, dryers and ranges vs electric and would be forced to eventually change over at their own cost. It hit the new construction industry first as now they had to redesign floorplans to allow for larger water heater storage because no new construction was allowed to put in gas water heaters and any new construction that hadn't sold was retrofitted with electric water heaters at builder cost. Just pass along the costs to consumers for a misguided attempt at "going green". What about emissions taxes on older vehicles that punish the poor who can't buy teslas in my state. There are so many things that should have gone to court but didn’t and made life hard for millions based on "expert" opinion.
