- Since we keep returning to the idea that the Yamaha is a sober, rather dull commuter that covers it bases, it must be decent in the city, right? Indeed it is. Riding through traffic is easy, gear changes aren't always needed to overtake things at city speeds... the experience is pleasant. However, the tuning for torque, plus the smaller engine size really make the Yamaha work for it on the highway. We tended to cruise no faster than 80kmph -- it felt strained afterwards starting with peg vibration past about 6,000rpm. 80 is plenty, but add luggage and a pillion and cruising speeds will drop, and overtaking will be harder. So we'd say you can tour on it -- you can tour on anything, really -- but don't buy the FZ with the intention of touring. The faster 160s and 200s make noticeably better touring platforms.

Its the most comfortable bike for city with unmatchable pillion comfort
its really good in traffic, daily commute, looks really good, in its comfrtable speed there is no vibration, its surprising how refined it feels, the mileage is great and the breaking is better than the royal enfields
In the city it's a rockstar in comfort and ride

Even an 125 would make 90+ and be tourer with milege for highway we would need a good bike with stability correct me if I'm wrong.

Almost all the way there Sandesh. What you'll miss on the 125 is the ability to overtake things and it's offers a considerable safety margin when you can overtake things, as opposed to being overtaken a lot

I haven't seen a single one on the road yet. Do you think looks matter in purchase decision? If so, a case study can probably be done on this bike on where does that criteria rank.

TVS Raider is at par or ahead of FZS during Drag Races shown on UA-cam. I feel Raider is a more sensible choice for fuel econ and performance.

150cc bikes look good on paper but they cannot manage on highways,we have to slowdown after 40 or 50 minutes due to fear of engine failure
The rtr 160 is miles better than this pile of junk. What the FZ used to be is now a poor performer in the segment. Shame on yamaha for ruining their most popular model.
TVs built quality is very one of the worst.

Anything beyond 90 feels like climbing stairs on a wheelchair... hell even beyond 70 it feels overly stressed. Great for cities, but so are almost all the bikes these days so....
im saddened by what the fz has become. it was the market changer when the og fz was launched, now its just another 150cc commuter bike
