Studio Bind was specifically made just to produce Mushoku Tensei. It’s going to be 100% full on quality for sure also since japanese peeps really REALLY love the series
they better, I got a feeling a riot may be on their hands if they mess it up. both the LN and the manga adaptation were so well received, it was fightening. and even with only 4 episodes out (it ended last week. :c I didn't learn of it until the last day), they already hit close to a million subscriber for the VA autograph event commemorating the Anime adaptation.
Yeah rightnow all their will do is complete this series so beside time pressure their dont have to divive their team for other animes like other studio. but u know time is really one big pressure in this industrial
Unfortunately, Funimation got their censor plague-covered hands on the anime. The studio is going to lose money for allowing Sony/Funimation to politically trash the anime.

This author received many proposals to adaptation a in the years but "cutting some edges" and he refused because of that, no studio wanted fully commit to the more questionable parts of the series(In this 5 episodes we still on the light stuff) but in the words of the author "if was to do that(cut) wont be meaning to adapt at all". About the studio is literally many heavy weights of the industry that banded together with the sole purpose of make this adaptation possible

He's basically saying "money can't buy girls with these kinds of specific traits/personalities" . I don't know if I need to spell this out, but his statement's funny because he uses "dere", which would only be said by anime enthusiasts, otakus, japanese people, etc.
That Ghislaine scene so raw, animation was crazy. The bodies even twitched for a sec after beheading. I liked the magic combos Rudy did while fighting the kidnappers too.
While Rudeus was awesome, I liked it better that he couldn't defend against the thrown sword. I mean, he could have air blasted it away (like he did Eris), but casting a damn spell dake time and effort. Probably a bit more than the sword takes to reach him.
@@tirocska Yeah I've seen people criticize that scene like "Ugh couldn't he just cast a spell and evade the sword?" People don't realize it because of the slow motion but the time between the sword throw and the moment it would have reached Rudy is like 5 sec and even for our prodigy here who doesn't need incantations it still requires concentration and crazy cool-headness to cast magic in a situation like that

As a novel reader i can't wait fir people's reactions to the twist and turns and emotional moments that'll break. I'm just so glad one of my favorite light novels has such a good adaptation. I like that it's sticking to the darker tone of the light novels instead of it being a up beat ecchi isekai like the manga would have you believe
Yeah the manga really turned me away from this story. Especially the latest chapters where it’s just pure nonsense and echi all over. I read part of the light novel that corresponds with the last 5-7 chapters and it looked like there was no difference between it and the manga to me

I hope so because so far I really don't like her even though I'm usually totally fine with tsunderes. I have also watched Shakugan no shana, zero no tsukaima. So, I understand what chibi meant too

Mushoku this season is a split core, with the first batch being 11 episodes and the second batch in summer being 12 episodes. The series will be fully adapted and we will get a season every year just like My Hero. Thats what was meant with the Long Running thing, it will be an anime that has multiple seasons and will be fully adapted. Apparently there was a leak that says the studio has 100ish episodes ordered for the series which they will split into seasons. Mushoku has about 24 volumes, if each season is 23 to 24 episodes and each will likely adapt 6ish volumes then we are looking at around 4 to 5 seasons with around 92 to 115 episodes for the entire series.
I like the fact that you notice the moral thing, which is for Ghislaine and Eris, it's just normal thing for them to kill bad people while for Rudy, it is shocking to seen someone get killed in front of him... Regardless of good or bad
Rudy absolutely had death impact him in his previous life. The death of his parents sets everything in motion. The difference was that he was so disconnected from everything he had no visceral reaction. He responded by following his routine. -My parents died, guess I'll just go ahead and rub one out. The visceral reaction to Ghislaine killing those bandits is not only a reflection of his growth, but also the knowledge that it was his machinations that resulted in it. I'm really glad that this will be an ongoing anime as the arc that is being set up now deserves room to breathe. It took place over the course of several LNs and really changes the course of every character going forward. I hope they do two cours a year so they can maintain the current quality, but I'm just happy that they've committed to do the whole story now that the LNs are ending soon.

@@luisguerreiro8045 I'd honestly disagree about Wonder Egg Priority. I've honestly had a blast every episode and had way more fun watching it than Mushoku Tensei. Don't get me wrong I love Mushoku Tensei, but I'm much more intrigued by what's going on in Wonder Egg Priority, and I definitely prefer Wonder Egg's cast over Mushoku's. Mushoku Tensei looks promising and I'm watching it weekly for sure, but it's not as unique or deep for me as WEP is. Opinions are opinions though. (Honestly I prefer Mushoku Tensei over Horimiya though, just not over a WIDE margin)
This. That whole multi faceted nature to people is something that we all too often overlook in real life, let alone in fiction. Someone can be a criminal AND a good father. A hero AND a scumbag. No one is wholly good or evil or just a single personality trait.
Yeah honestly i think the Characters are so incredibly well written because what he did was so very human. Not many shows at all ever show such nuance. It might be one of my favorite shows in a long time. And its only getting better going forwards.
While I don't condone the Paul - 2 women dynamic, infidelity can be a pretty common thing in certain parts of the world, common enough to not be considered the scum of the earth for cheating on/seducing a married person... still hurts though...
Not even just the house and the money... he said before he was a knight, stationed there to watch over the village. If they even tried, the local lord might get involved and make the situation even worse for them.

I have read it about three time too in the past 3-4 years but I just get so sad and frustrated when people are harsh towards rude and the story because of no fault of it’s own since both manga and the anime fail to convey his mentality like the light novel does.
This anime so far is incredible and after finding out Rudy spends 50 chapters at Ranoa Academy and we get to watch all the characters grow is very exciting. I think this might become one of my favourite animes
@@MaidenlessScrub till this day I haven't found another novel where this many side characters actually matter. so many of them get snippets where you see events from their point of view. so much world building and important events are happening outside the MC's influence. he's a little op but he's still just some dude living his life. its a isekai, but he's not even the hero of his own story
Do others like the magic academy arc. I thought it was the worst arc by far. It brought a lot of awesome characters but how it played out was slow and rudi felt like a entirely different person.

When he was younger he was trying to stay humble but in that arc he acted like he didn’t know he had strength. It could have been the ED but I don’t think it changes you that much. Also he didn’t learn much, like he never ranked up his other magic except healing and detox and for most of that arc he was either looking at books, or being a battery and charging other people’s experiments.
Feeling such strong proud dad moments everytime i watch each new episode. loved this masterpiece since the webnovels were still being translated. and although it took about 7 years before it finally got an anime adaptation, its so definitely worth it.
From what I've heard from reddit users, this season is supposed to be 23 episodes and will be split into 2 cours with the second cour coming out in July. This season is supposedly going to cover a lot of volumes which made the LN readers worried that a lot is going to be skipped. As an anime only I probably won't notice but I thought I'd just mention that.
Nope. Just cover 3 volumes, just that the novel does cover a lot of his early age with this 3 volume. It will slow down once in volume 4 onwards tho...

It’s is seasonal. As the person above said it’s like danachi. The studio was created with the specific intentions of adapting the whole series. This first season is in fact split cour. I don’t know if it’s been announced what episode it stops at though
She loses her tsundere aspect pretty quickly after a certain event and as she matures. Her tsundere nature nature is viewed as part of her childish aspect which she grows out of instead of being her only defined characteristics ala love hina. Honestly, I started liking it mostly because I had started reading the manga last year during the pandemic and really liked the magic system.
If this happens then it might ascend to the realm of anime such as naruto, bleach, one piece, dragon ball z and cement itself as a pillar of the anime world. There i added one piece you guys happy?

If the anime keeps this amazing work up it has the chance to become my favourite anime (demon slayer is atm by far my fav.) The characters, the animations, the story like everything seem to be perfect from what I have seen.
I'm pretty sure this is a mistranslation since this information is stemming from an interview. The CEO of Egg Firm and chief producer of the anime said that he had worked on long running series like SAO and DanMachi before, and that he wants to make this series like them. So by "long running" I'm pretty sure he meant they intend to fully adapt the source material which will take many seasons over the course of many years, not that there won't be seasons. This makes sense since we already know that Studio Bind was originally created for the purpose of adapting this anime. It wouldn't make sense to do that if they were only doing one or two seasons.
So I'm a Spider, So What? Is getting mad slept on, that should get a long running series too as there wouldn't even be a point to adapting just the first couple novels
I don't think being a long running anime means the quality will drop, it just depends how big the animation team is and how long it's been in production for. Hunter x Hunter 2011 was a long running anime consist of 148 episodes of airing each week without breaks and the animation has been consistent to the last episode, not one episode has dipped in qualify
i don't understnad where people get long running and immediately think its gonna be like one piece. its already confirmed 23 episodes. summer will have 12 of these episodes.
It feels so weird hearing everyone call her Ghislaine when in the novels it was spelt Ghyslaine. Everything else has made me feel so bloody good though, I’m so happy Mushoku is getting the quality it deserves so far.
The production quality in the first five episodes has been incredible. I have no idea how they'll manage to keep it up on a weekly basis, but I hope they do!

I haven't read the light novel but I am caught up to the manga. If this anime gets a healthy run and keeps going the way it is right now, this will be by far the greatest Isekai anime.
Ive read the entire web novel in a week and I think it can be done in 72 episodes, 6 12 episode seasons, give or take a season or 2. So maybe 3 years, airs in winter and summer. It splits up almost neatly. I wont add spoilers.
They adapted volume 1 in 4 eps. Means they will adapt 24 volumes in about 96 eps It will probably have 4 seasons. this season is 23eps. and it will be done in about 7 years
I could see your concerns about long running animes taking a dip in quality, but i doubt that this is gonna happen. not only does mushoku tensei have its own studio doing only that anime (or so I was told) it only has 25 volumes in the web novels, so if anything id say it would last around 50-75 episodes at most. hunter hunter as an example had higher quality throughout the whole series with 148 episodes, with little to no apparent inconsistencies in animation quality. So i think mushoku tensei will be fine. and I feel like it will end up being one of the top animes.
The most recent episode has me full sold on this anime. I don’t buy dvds, but I’ll buy this one. Whatever I can do to try to help the quality stay as high as it has been
actually they are having a break after 12 episodes then recontinue in July with next 12 episodes . And I would say they are gonna do 12 episodes take one core break another 12 episodes and so on. So Its less worried about the production and they are a company made to make this show. So it should be fine, unlike Black Clover's company which needs to focus on other project as well.
This is the best isekai anime I've ever seen, and now one of my all time favorite anime. I love how they have set this series up for many seasons, great characters and awesome story. Im glad that there are filler episodes to help really flesh out the characters. It would be very sad if the animation or artwork took a hit after a few seasons, but hopefully this will be a rare gem, that last many seasons and continues to be amazing through the entire series.
You gotta give more credit to the wife as Zenith knows exactly that its the maid Lilia that seduced Paul, and how Rudeus is lying. She still went through with the lie because she realized she also dont want to break up the family. Also its not that cheating is considered evil here as its normal to have multiple wives or even concubines, its bad because the condition for Paul and Zenith to get married is that he has to swear under Zenith's religion to stay monogamous and loyal to her. For the most part is that he did till the maid seduced him.
Sweet? She will practically throw him into a bed everytime and anytime she wants (not that he dislikes it, though) since she gets way stronger than him, physically speaking.
I fuck*ng love this anime and I hope they can continue till the school arc or even beyond it. I just hope this anime doesn't get any hate, that's my only fear.

@@terencebarnes7393 nope, not at all. A mild spoiler about the sword system of this world is below. Not gonna affect your experience though but I think it would be nice if I warn you first. His magic capability is one of the highest in that world, but it cost him the ability to use a special aura that swordmasters have when they fight (that aura is something which improves their senses, endurance and strength). Rudy couldn’t even pass the beginner level of swordmanship.

It's really cool if it's a long running series at the sole condition that the studio takes breaks from time to time in order to keep the production quality consistent

This series is enthralling. Every episode has me immersed deeply into this growing world and I have an insatiable desire to watch more and experience more of this truly well cared for and constructed anime. Only to have each episode end all too soon as these emotions this show conveys leave you blissful and yet anxious for next weeks return. All in all I would give this anime 9.5/10 if not 10/10. It may even become one of my top 3 anime we’ll see after it is completed.

Oh but he is a shitty person. It's just that he can also be a good person and most of the time he is. You can be both. And even if he was seduced, the maid had made no vow, but he had one with Zenith. Even if both Paul and the maid were wrong, the one that break a vow was Paul. It's our responsability to say no, as hard as that can sometimes be.

Mushoku this season is a split core, with the first batch being 11 episodes and the second batch in summer being 12 episodes. The series will be fully adapted and we will get a season every year just like My Hero. Thats what was meant with the Long Running thing, it will be an anime that has multiple seasons and will be fully adapted. Apparently there was a leak that says the studio has 100ish episodes ordered for the series which they will split into seasons. Mushoku has about 24 volumes, if each season is 23 to 24 episodes and each will likely adapt 6ish volumes then we are looking at around 4 to 5 seasons with around 92 to 115 episodes for the entire series.

I like the fact that you notice the moral thing, which is for Ghislaine and Eris, it's just normal thing for them to kill bad people while for Rudy, it is shocking to seen someone get killed in front of him... Regardless of good or bad
Rudy absolutely had death impact him in his previous life. The death of his parents sets everything in motion. The difference was that he was so disconnected from everything he had no visceral reaction. He responded by following his routine. -My parents died, guess I'll just go ahead and rub one out.
The visceral reaction to Ghislaine killing those bandits is not only a reflection of his growth, but also the knowledge that it was his machinations that resulted in it.
I'm really glad that this will be an ongoing anime as the arc that is being set up now deserves room to breathe. It took place over the course of several LNs and really changes the course of every character going forward.
I hope they do two cours a year so they can maintain the current quality, but I'm just happy that they've committed to do the whole story now that the LNs are ending soon.

Don't get me wrong I love Mushoku Tensei, but I'm much more intrigued by what's going on in Wonder Egg Priority, and I definitely prefer Wonder Egg's cast over Mushoku's. Mushoku Tensei looks promising and I'm watching it weekly for sure, but it's not as unique or deep for me as WEP is. Opinions are opinions though.

This. That whole multi faceted nature to people is something that we all too often overlook in real life, let alone in fiction. Someone can be a criminal AND a good father. A hero AND a scumbag. No one is wholly good or evil or just a single personality trait.
Yeah honestly i think the Characters are so incredibly well written because what he did was so very human.
Not many shows at all ever show such nuance. It might be one of my favorite shows in a long time. And its only getting better going forwards.
While I don't condone the Paul - 2 women dynamic, infidelity can be a pretty common thing in certain parts of the world, common enough to not be considered the scum of the earth for cheating on/seducing a married person... still hurts though...

As a person who has read the light novels three times I’m having some much fun listening to people’s predictions.
I have read it about three time too in the past 3-4 years but I just get so sad and frustrated when people are harsh towards rude and the story because of no fault of it’s own since both manga and the anime fail to convey his mentality like the light novel does.
I hope they don't time skip chapter 7 it needs to be in there.
This anime so far is incredible and after finding out Rudy spends 50 chapters at Ranoa Academy and we get to watch all the characters grow is very exciting. I think this might become one of my favourite animes

Do others like the magic academy arc. I thought it was the worst arc by far. It brought a lot of awesome characters but how it played out was slow and rudi felt like a entirely different person.

When he was younger he was trying to stay humble but in that arc he acted like he didn’t know he had strength. It could have been the ED but I don’t think it changes you that much. Also he didn’t learn much, like he never ranked up his other magic except healing and detox and for most of that arc he was either looking at books, or being a battery and charging other people’s experiments.
This makes me so happy that before this episode I read the manga and was planning on reading the light novel and it’s just sooo god damn good

From what I've heard from reddit users, this season is supposed to be 23 episodes and will be split into 2 cours with the second cour coming out in July. This season is supposedly going to cover a lot of volumes which made the LN readers worried that a lot is going to be skipped. As an anime only I probably won't notice but I thought I'd just mention that.
Nope. Just cover 3 volumes, just that the novel does cover a lot of his early age with this 3 volume. It will slow down once in volume 4 onwards tho...

It’s is seasonal. As the person above said it’s like danachi. The studio was created with the specific intentions of adapting the whole series. This first season is in fact split cour. I don’t know if it’s been announced what episode it stops at though

She loses her tsundere aspect pretty quickly after a certain event and as she matures. Her tsundere nature nature is viewed as part of her childish aspect which she grows out of instead of being her only defined characteristics ala love hina. Honestly, I started liking it mostly because I had started reading the manga last year during the pandemic and really liked the magic system.
If this happens then it might ascend to the realm of anime such as naruto, bleach, one piece, dragon ball z and cement itself as a pillar of the anime world.

I'm pretty sure this is a mistranslation since this information is stemming from an interview. The CEO of Egg Firm and chief producer of the anime said that he had worked on long running series like SAO and DanMachi before, and that he wants to make this series like them. So by "long running" I'm pretty sure he meant they intend to fully adapt the source material which will take many seasons over the course of many years, not that there won't be seasons. This makes sense since we already know that Studio Bind was originally created for the purpose of adapting this anime. It wouldn't make sense to do that if they were only doing one or two seasons.
This made me tear up this is one of the best news of 2021 so far

I don't think being a long running anime means the quality will drop, it just depends how big the animation team is and how long it's been in production for. Hunter x Hunter 2011 was a long running anime consist of 148 episodes of airing each week without breaks and the animation has been consistent to the last episode, not one episode has dipped in qualify

It feels so weird hearing everyone call her Ghislaine when in the novels it was spelt Ghyslaine. Everything else has made me feel so bloody good though, I’m so happy Mushoku is getting the quality it deserves so far.
The production quality in the first five episodes has been incredible. I have no idea how they'll manage to keep it up on a weekly basis, but I hope they do!

I could see your concerns about long running animes taking a dip in quality, but i doubt that this is gonna happen. not only does mushoku tensei have its own studio doing only that anime (or so I was told) it only has 25 volumes in the web novels, so if anything id say it would last around 50-75 episodes at most. hunter hunter as an example had higher quality throughout the whole series with 148 episodes, with little to no apparent inconsistencies in animation quality. So i think mushoku tensei will be fine. and I feel like it will end up being one of the top animes.

The most recent episode has me full sold on this anime. I don’t buy dvds, but I’ll buy this one. Whatever I can do to try to help the quality stay as high as it has been
actually they are having a break after 12 episodes then recontinue in July with next 12 episodes . And I would say they are gonna do 12 episodes take one core break another 12 episodes and so on. So Its less worried about the production and they are a company made to make this show. So it should be fine, unlike Black Clover's company which needs to focus on other project as well.
This is the best isekai anime I've ever seen, and now one of my all time favorite anime. I love how they have set this series up for many seasons, great characters and awesome story. Im glad that there are filler episodes to help really flesh out the characters. It would be very sad if the animation or artwork took a hit after a few seasons, but hopefully this will be a rare gem, that last many seasons and continues to be amazing through the entire series.
You gotta give more credit to the wife as Zenith knows exactly that its the maid Lilia that seduced Paul, and how Rudeus is lying. She still went through with the lie because she realized she also dont want to break up the family. Also its not that cheating is considered evil here as its normal to have multiple wives or even concubines, its bad because the condition for Paul and Zenith to get married is that he has to swear under Zenith's religion to stay monogamous and loyal to her. For the most part is that he did till the maid seduced him.

His magic capability is one of the highest in that world, but it cost him the ability to use a special aura that swordmasters have when they fight (that aura is something which improves their senses, endurance and strength). Rudy couldn’t even pass the beginner level of swordmanship.

This series is enthralling. Every episode has me immersed deeply into this growing world and I have an insatiable desire to watch more and experience more of this truly well cared for and constructed anime. Only to have each episode end all too soon as these emotions this show conveys leave you blissful and yet anxious for next weeks return. All in all I would give this anime 9.5/10 if not 10/10. It may even become one of my top 3 anime we’ll see after it is completed.
