I think the Mushoku Tensei LN is one of the , if not the best Novel I’ve ever read. The pacing the story progression, and most importantly the character building is just amazing and almost unparalleled.
love the father and son movement cause he taught his father a lesson he never going forget cause the father ran away from his father so he never knew how to become a dad and the next time the son fuck up he told himself he not going yell at him
This show does character depth and development so well, and I love how much it lets you infer instead of spoon feeding everything to you at once. It has rules, follows them, and has a fucking GORGEOUS story with so much to explore in the future. This and made in abyss are probably my top 2
@@enot2140 what I meant was that the anime follows the webnovel more then the manga so far and that the manga shorten the details like how he was bullied back then or how he was when he was a toddler.
I know everybody says it, but they do explain a few more details in the books. The family also gets their back story fleshed out later in the story (like 10+ books in), the whole thing is written super well and I'd say if you enjoy reading and enjoy this anime, give the LN/WN a go, it's worth the time.
I’m so excited for the people who haven’t read the novel/manga and are watching this anime! The places this anime will show us can be unexpected, wonderful and full of joy. Other places are filled with sadness, despair and danger. I really look forward to the rest of this series !
it's because they feel the disconnection between how they think an adult would do/think with what Rudeus thought /did. Rudeus is a hikki with very little experience in life other than what he got from secluding himself, I do think when people are like that they will find new (and they think safe) experience fresh and would like to explore it.
@@theonecallednick he will not go to a magical academy actually, the next ep will upset some people (poor paul) and the magical academy arc is really far away

Here's a comment for the anime onlys , this series has some of the best character writing in all of isekais and anime, it's not your typical power leveling isekai, and instead it actually focuses on characters and their relationships with others. Please stick with this anime 'til the end
I am going to definitely. I have a feeling this will be given the status of classic isekai when it is finished. And watching it weekly is a great experience
The only thing I hated in the novel was, in some parts, even if he's in a serious situation, he always does sometgjng perverted. It becomes repetitive and annoying real fast. It tones down as the story goes though so that's nice. XD
There's quite a few ecchi and "uncomfortable" moments in this series so hopefully people exit through the door after seeing how much of a perv rudy is so far, Rather than whining on Twitter about it because it's already been displayed that this series isn't against being a bit raunchy lol
At least it’s not that one hentai that’s being treated like an anime (redo of a healer) I’d rather take a bit of ecchi instead of throwing the whole moral book out the window
there's a lot of anthropology stuff in it's world building, the mana capacity is just a taste of it. the author did an amazing job at making details work natural and makes sense even if you over-analyze it.
Wonder Egg Priority and Mushoku Tensei are my top 2 new shows this season. Mushoku Tensei also ended up sucking me into the source material and I ended up reading up until where Season 1 is predicted to end.
I don't wanna say too much for those who didn't read the book but as for your interpretation on the incantationless magic you are really close, almost spot on.
"i think anyone watching this episode knew that green hair girl def a girl" >.> ....... No NO your right! I def didnt think that green haired girl was a Boy . No No i would never be deceived by an anime........
So the way I look at incantationless chanting in this series is the way learning absolute pitch, in music, works in the real world. That's something that you can only learn as a young child and can't learn as an adult. That's why Roxy couldn't do it, even while trying, but Rudy and, now, Sylph can.
I'm just happy to see this get animated. Cant wait for the best husbando to appear. The character development of other characters are also good. Also, 7:15 you were close with your prediction. Nice.
have been binge watching anime lately, and i asked my son why is it all just Isekai right now, and he said -coz it works! i think i was already fed up with isekai until i watched this anime a week ago, its a new flavor after watching those other 2019-2020 animes. Mushoku Tensei is easily an A+
This show is actually going to be a 7 course meal. So strap in because this is going to be one wild ride. Re-Zero and AoT had their time in the sun, but its time for a new story to reign supreme.
@@arcdraconis9579 At least it went in a very different direction, not to mention the Mc is very different from Rudy, much more cold and callous which alters the Dynamic of the series
I feel like people should know that this series tackles more heavy and taboo themes unlike Attack on Titan or Slime or even Re:Zero, which can appeal to a wide range of viewers. You have to be mature enough to process some themes in the anime.
I've watched one episode of this anime then jumped right away to read the manga and catched up to the latest chapter in just half a day. The story is good and unique as for an isekai.
@@chestervelosophotography6702 I'm preventing myself to fall into the temptation to read the Webnovel, I did that with Solo Levelling and I felt empty after finishing the story, then just eagerly wait for a new chapter release. Is the emptiness worth finishing the story in the Webnovel?
If you are hungry for more, the manga skips a shit ton from the WN and LN has even a whole volume that isn't in it. The LN has some more details, but is mostly same as WN, (except that 1 volume, which is LN exclusive), but the WN is finished. I wouldn't recommend jumping from LN to WN bc the writing style is somewhat different.
You are definitely on the right track regarding this world's magic, with it's relation to age and I like to compare chantless magic to learning to be bilingual, which is more easier at a younger age.
Actually he is special. He has the laplace factor which gives you higher magic power and a chance at randomly having green hair (he doesn't) and not being able to wear a touki which is like a magical armor the reason sylphy is growing so quickly is that she also had the laplace factor which is why she has green hair. Also incantationless magic is only learnable at a young age as well as growing you magic power
It's not the fast pace and fast progression or crazy plot twists that shows try to do but I just cant keep my eye off it in an episode the world building and character development is just next level
The light novel is really impressive, definitely worth the read. I am currently on volume six. I can’t wait for more of the volumes to be translated into English.
A series makes me want to read the source materials from 2 reasons: 1. The world building 2. the season ends on a cliffhanger/questionable end For this, its the former. I love this series a lot and its world building
It's definitely worth reading the light novel, I picked it up after ep3, you get the POV of side characters in certain key scene, like the POV of Paul went he "disciplines" Rudy is much more fleshed put than in the anime. He's 25 and his son as the soul of a 34yo, although he doesn't, you can't blame him for being overwhelmed at times
Things I am waiting for in this: • next episode • Boreas arc • metastasis • that mosaic-faced • [---] continent arc • meeting with [--] at milishion (that hits hardd) • first encounter with orsted and that crushing realization of power • rest but I don't think rest we will get until s2.. now that i look at it, isn't it everything lol
Tbh I like it to the point that I read the manga and a bit of the light novel. The story just amazes me and the character developmemt is way too good. The romance aspect is also enjoyable as hell. :D

When Yoshikage Kira is mad to Gintoki I'm kinda scared tbh.
When Yoshikage Kira is mad at Gramps Joseph* ftfy
Funny how I’m watching this right now and you upload this
Let me tell you something
He's gonna leave the green hair girl in the next episode to go to a magical academy
Chibi: *Feeling bad for Paul*
Me: Well, let's see what you will say after episode 4...
I love the manga, haven't checked the anime yet, hopefully is a good adaptation.
Just watch... It's gorgeous..
Oh yeah, the anime is definitely better then the manga. The manga skips some parts in who he was in his previous life and other details

He's gonna leave the green hair girl in the next episode to go to a magical academy
@@shadowplayer8738 so far the anime has been following the manga rather than the WN, so I don't see your point.
This is the best new show this season
I was so hooked to this series after just 2 episodes, that I went and read manga and light novel and web novel. I'm half way thru
I’m so excited for the people who haven’t read the novel/manga and are watching this anime! The places this anime will show us can be unexpected, wonderful and full of joy. Other places are filled with sadness, despair and danger. I really look forward to the rest of this series !
Yes! I agree with you... This is shaping up to be the Best Isekai this year... and I absolutely LOVE LOG HORIZON... so that is saying something.
Rudy meta-game'd himself into thinking Sylphie was a guy lmfaooo
I feel like he was able to do it because of his constant practice & the mindset he has coming from a different world & playing rpgs I love this show
Why would people not be happy with some of the direction, those scenes weren't bad...I don't get it.
Let me tell you something
He's gonna leave the green hair girl in the next episode to go to a magical academy
it's because they feel the disconnection between how they think an adult would do/think with what Rudeus thought /did. Rudeus is a hikki with very little experience in life other than what he got from secluding himself, I do think when people are like that they will find new (and they think safe) experience fresh and would like to explore it.
@@綾小路寺清貴-z3o well it's kinda good spoiling something but saying the wrong thing xD.

I'm so happy that you're loving and understanding this series for what it's trying to convey.
XD
Great episode, you put so much of what i love about the anime as well as the original novel into words, that i could not. Bravo

@Roid Astria its literally streamed on hentaihaven (or some hentai site i saw it on)
@Roid Astria I know it’s not but considering the some of the scenes it showed in this recent episode (including a censored dick) it could pass as one
Its honestly breathtaking, usually most isekai dont even include scenery in them but this does and make it look insanely good.
Dont you just love it when an Isekai doesnt have cheatskill and MC actually has to work hard to acheieve anything?
he didn't work hard he just had to work
@@alex345ro you're not wrong... Not like there are any big distractions for him in this world.

I agree there’s something about it makes it one of my favorites ,so far. I think the character building and story.
2:15 well he started developing at age 3.. needs to be a f-ing op tensai
there's a lot of anthropology stuff in it's world building, the mana capacity is just a taste of it. the author did an amazing job at making details work natural and makes sense even if you over-analyze it.

Wonder Egg Priority and Mushoku Tensei are my top 2 new shows this season. Mushoku Tensei also ended up sucking me into the source material and I ended up reading up until where Season 1 is predicted to end.
I love Paul and Rudy's relationship throughout the story, especially later on.

Let me tell you something
He's gonna leave the green hair girl in the next episode to go to a magical academy
Having better understanding and imagination is the key for incantationless magic. Learning from such a young age is better.

have been binge watching anime lately, and i asked my son why is it all just Isekai right now, and he said -coz it works! i think i was already fed up with isekai until i watched this anime a week ago, its a new flavor after watching those other 2019-2020 animes. Mushoku Tensei is easily an A+
This is just some good food whereas attack on titan is spicy food and re zero is bitter af.
This show is actually going to be a 7 course meal. So strap in because this is going to be one wild ride. Re-Zero and AoT had their time in the sun, but its time for a new story to reign supreme.

The author of TBATE has said that Mushoku Tensei was one of his big inspirations
@@arcdraconis9579 At least it went in a very different direction, not to mention the Mc is very different from Rudy, much more cold and callous which alters the Dynamic of the series
The author of tbate is very confused with his own story. Good beggining tho..
The studio that is doing Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation is really doing the anime justice. The pacing is amazing and the animation is spot on.
I feel like people should know that this series tackles more heavy and taboo themes unlike Attack on Titan or Slime or even Re:Zero, which can appeal to a wide range of viewers. You have to be mature enough to process some themes in the anime.

This anime has been very faithful to the light novels so far, there were a few things that were changed/cut but so far things are going really good.
At this point the only thing keeping me from bingeing the manga and maybe ln are my exams
Agreed the wn is better in my opinion
I bought all the official english mangas for this series. I love it so much!
i'm considering buying the light novel anyone know a good site
Bookwalker or amazon
Go bookwalker, don't go amazon
I've watched one episode of this anime then jumped right away to read the manga and catched up to the latest chapter in just half a day. The story is good and unique as for an isekai.
It's currently on Chapter 68. Damn. It's like half of the webnovel covered already.
@@pyomyositis9415 IMO, it's worth it.Coz we get to see Rudeus start of new life till his last breath of life.
In soviet russia kids scold you teach you how to be a parrent
no wonder rudeus has a big heart to share with 3 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
You are definitely on the right track regarding this world's magic, with it's relation to age and I like to compare chantless magic to learning to be bilingual, which is more easier at a younger age.
Actually he is special. He has the laplace factor which gives you higher magic power and a chance at randomly having green hair (he doesn't) and not being able to wear a touki which is like a magical armor the reason sylphy is growing so quickly is that she also had the laplace factor which is why she has green hair. Also incantationless magic is only learnable at a young age as well as growing you magic power
Thank you for uploading your reaction of this anime 😌
It's not the fast pace and fast progression or crazy plot twists that shows try to do but I just cant keep my eye off it in an episode the world building and character development is just next level
The light novel is fekking epic and the amount of character development and world-building is top tier. Also roxy isn't gone for good :)
Going to watch the episode now to I can watch this!
The light novel is really impressive, definitely worth the read. I am currently on volume six. I can’t wait for more of the volumes to be translated into English.
A series makes me want to read the source materials from 2 reasons:
1. The world building
2. the season ends on a cliffhanger/questionable end
For this, its the former. I love this series a lot and its world building
Waifu wars are brewing slowly for mushoku tensei.

Love the art style of this episode. It remained me of some older anime in the 80s.
Next weeks episode is going to be fun to watch.
I am really lookin forward to see peoples reactions to the next episode :D

Things I am waiting for in this:

• Boreas arc
• metastasis
• that mosaic-faced
• [---] continent arc
• meeting with [--] at milishion (that hits hardd)
• first encounter with orsted and that crushing realization of power
• rest but I don't think rest we will get until s2..
now that i look at it, isn't it everything lol
Tbh I like it to the point that I read the manga and a bit of the light novel. The story just amazes me and the character developmemt is way too good. The romance aspect is also enjoyable as hell. :D
