@@FoliaSound worth a shot I'd say xD I'm not sure but maybe your control room is similar in size to David Gnozzi's (mixbustv). I think he's using the SC3012 as mains there.
Great Review. Also its really enjoyable to see you working with that amazing passion for music ❤. Got me the 3070s before and I am super happy with the Sound especially the fun that they bring into the studio 🎉

I've bought SC2070s 2 months ago and they're amazing. I wonder how they compare to SC3070. First one have a better tweeter and the second one have a midrange driver and completely different crossover points. It would be interesting to see such a comparison
Hey, great review! I love your reviews on soft synths and I was greatly surprised that your reviewed the monitors I am after. So from your experience does my 18 sq meter room with a ceiling at 2.4m can handle the sc3070; Currently I am using a 2.1 system a pair of Eve ‘s sc205 and a ts 107 sub. My room is heavily treated with bass traps and acoustic treatment. Happy new year by the way 🎉
Very nice and usefull video Paul.! About the mixes comparison, from my listening, the Eve Audio mix seems just a bit more present in the mids area and lively overall. A very tiny thing, but still audible by my ears. It would be also know about the NDH 30 test results :) ...if you don't mind
I also have the Eve SC 3070 in a treated room. And I briefly compared your mixes with each other. Where you mixed with the Eve's the stereo image sounds much better, and the low end (especially sub part) comes out much better than you had mixed with the KSD. Mix is also much more open.
I just bought a pair, amazing monitors! However, I noticed some woofer distortion below 50Hz. I do not listen to them very loud. Has anyone encountered the same issue?
the Eve audio 3070 was also on my shortlist. But then I decided against the eve.. when I PMC pro 6.2 heard. I knew this is my dream monitor!👌😍❤️🤘🔥💫 this monitor really blow my mind! I've rarely heard such a great controlled low end as on the PMC... the stereo image is incredible, detailed, precise and massive punch without end... this is how a studio monitor should sound!😱👊😉😎 ❤️ it makes it so much easier for you to judge and listen to what sounds right and what sounds wrong in the mix.
Thanks for the test Paul. The only thing I would do differently with the Eves for a more balanced comparison (especially of the high end) would be to angle-tilt them downwards a bit so they are firing more directly to my ears since they are placed higher. The mid dip could also be amplified by the fact they are firing above your ears Regarding the Eves., I never liked the air motion transformer enough for a "life long relationship". I have heard magnetostatic, ribbon , motion transformer you name it. I always end up liking good dome tweeters like scan speak and the seas excel series
Hey, Saardean, they actually are tilted, so that tweeters are pointing exactly my ears. It's not very well visible on the vid, but I took care of that :) There's an additional positioning pad between each of the Eves and KSDs. Eve's AMT sounds really nice and natural to my ears, surely they're more relaxed that those of Adams. Cheers!
@@FoliaSound I knew that I should ask before I comment. I stand corrected :-) I almost couldn't believe you will not have tilted them :-) That being said. I will give them a listen when I get the chance. Thanks for all the effort and work you are putting in my man

@@FoliaSoundYes, actual observations and comparisons. Most reviews today are complete trash with zero information above and beyond rephrasing of manufacturers specifications and promo materials. I have a slightly larger room than you, nearly 30 m². I'm about to get either SC4070, KSD A200, FLUID IMAGE 2 (discounted open boxes).
I am skeptical about Fluids overall sound quality (possibly too aggressive / bright tweeter for my ears + lack of depth) and reliability. I would love a Sonarworks in speakers & mix cube mode. Plus it has bigger drivers then Eves 😅 I am concerned about reliability of KSD as well + the need for their expensive controller box is a downpoint as well. I believe they could sound best out of this three monitors, but it's very possible, that I would prefer Eves for composing, which is the most important use case for me. Eves seem like a safe bet, the question is if I would like Fluid or KSD better. The problem is that only Eves don't have advanced room correction, while the others have it.
Hellooo! How do you like my test? Did you consider SC3070 for yourself? Already own them? Lemme know down below, thanks!
I'm glad someone else is doing reviews on Eve Audio products, there's really not a lot on UA-cam. Maybe you can test a pair of SC3012 next time hehe
