I had it in my garden this year from some annual flower seed mix and I was looking for a name! So thank you!! I was using it as a cut flower, looks wonderfull in a bouquets and the vase life is more than every other flowers! Definitely will be growing next year :)
So glad to hear that! 🥰It does make great cut flowers! And it’s STILL colorful here in our garden - super fantastic annual. Do you have it in the pink or the purple/blue? Or the white?
This Salvia is currently blooming in my garden. I forgot it name and one of my viewer reminded me. You have different color Salvia and other flowers. Beautiful garden. New friend from Nepal
Seem to have missed this video when it came out! Definitely need this in my garden. I love plants that self sow but am really bad at pulling up ones in the wrong place or if I have too many, I just feel sad that the plant has put so much effort in !!!! Thanks for the video as always.
They are very beautiful! Not sure where to buy seeds - we collect seeds and sow these each year. They are salvia viridis - surely there’s a great web shop that has these seeds.
I grew Salvia virdis after watching your video. I live in Ontario, Canada. Mine didn’t grow like your plants did. I watched another video of yours that was filmed a few days ago. You also had some plants looking great but the other didn’t. I want to know where each one was grown. My plants were in full sun. Thank you for any advice you can impart. Thank you.
All of ours are in full sun. The ones in this video were grown from seeds and then planted out in the garden. The ones in our recent videos (2024) were self sown ... so they are a little less 'full' than they were last year. We did collect seeds from last year, but we had a bad storm and lost a lot when our glasshouse got broken. (it's repaired now) So we'll try to grow more next year :)
Wow! You two are really good with growing plants I'm not familiar with. Now I'll have to visit a nursery sometime (all your fault) 😂, to see if they are available to us in South Africa.
We take full responsibility for your nursery trips 😂. This plant is Mediterranean, so hopefully it can grow in your climate, too. It survives the weird Danish weather… so it has potential 😅
@@perennial-garden I'll send you guys the bill... 🤣🤣🤣 I've never seen it being sold here in SA, but definitely think it should grow happily in our warm weather. Truly makes a big splash of colour in your garden. I'm off to prune the last of my 'far too many roses' in preparation for spring. And then maybe a quick trip to the nursery... 🤪
🤣🤣🤣 Unfortunately I can't take any responsibility for your short summers and the fact that spring is rolling in fast and furious here by us. I've missed my roses, and can't wait to see their faces again. I can send you some nice soup recipes if that's any consolation... 😆
Guess what!!?? I just found a site where they sell Salvia Viridis!!! Southern Charm Seeds!! Johnny seeds were out of stock, ugh! Seriously, you guys need to start selling seeds of all the stuff you have! I don't know if you could ship to US though. I hope mine self-seeds for next year. Thanks again for sharing this video! "We love collecting seeds." Your tone is hilarious!!
You're going to love this one! We have the Oxford Blue (or is it Blue Monday? I forget) also... and it's also pretty. But this pink one just keeps on with the color all summer long. It won't come back each year here... annuals are annoying like that 😅 so we make sure to collect the seeds. And we checked about even taking seeds in our suitcase for when we visit family in the USA... and it's a big no. Even bringing them back from the states. I'm sure we could with a proper license, etc. But that just sounds way too complicated. 🤣.
@@perennial-garden that's weird that it won't self-seed like your others. Oh don't even get me started on the blue one. NOPE, I'm not buying anymore seeds!! My husband would kill me! Funny story about taking seeds in a suitcase...my mother-in-law had the most beautiful garden, 40 years in that garden. She decided to retire to Puerto Rico. Well, she insisted on taking her garden with her. So she spent all summer collect the seeds, cutting roots and putting them in the boxes. She stuffed all her seeds in her little suitcase. Oh she was soooooo excited. Her babies were coming with her!! NOPE, NOPE, NOPE. I don't know how they know, but they immediately took every single container she had with seeds out. And the boxes, yeah, they didn't make it neither😅🤣😅🤣So guess who was blessed to have ALL OF IT!!
@@madelinerivera7445 you win! haha. But poor her, I could just imagine. They're pretty strict here, too. My mother-in-law gave us seeds from Georgia once... we made it all the way to the Danish border and there was a sign about fines and jail time for bringing in agriculture products... so we tossed the seed packets in the bin they set up for crazy people like us before entering. Didn't want to risk it. PLUS, we have plenty here. haha. we really don't need MORE of anything. 😅
Do save some seeds for the wildlife like birds. In my z4b garden the ants are big seed harvester, so direct sowing in the autumn for vernalization can be a bust.
Beautiful, thank you!
Thank you for watching ☺️

How great! We subscribed to your channel, too! Can't wait to see more of what you're growing. Greetings from Denmark 🥰

This is one that you’ll be glad you have! It’s flowered from July until now (still doing it’s best in October… altho the weather is turning quickly) ❤
Because of this video I just ordered a seed packet of painted sage (mix). I look forward to seeing it grow in my borders this summer :)
Hope you love them as much as we do!
Thank you! I will definitely be on the hunt for this plant for next summer. Absolutely gorgeous.
It really is! The white is nice, too - but these pinks and blues are super special.
You definitely convinced me to grow this plant!
Great! It’s one of our favorites! And super easy to grow. Plus it flowers (with those colorful bracts) for a very long time here.
Ditto looking for it now!!❤
Still love this one!
Me too.
Beautiful plants. I love salvias. Where can I buy seeds with shipping to Poland?

@@jaloedwards3933 Happy to do it!
This is stunning, I wonder if the hummingbirds like it as well? Since they typically love Salvias
Maybe? We don’t have hummingbirds here in Denmark. 😟. But we like it 😍
@perennial-garden 😄😃 Thanks for replying! It really is lovely!I have asked fb hummingbird group, hopefully someone knows the answer 😄😁
Ooooo. If you find out, do let us know, too! 🥰@@gray_f

Would you consider sharing the seeds?
We would 100% do that... but only here in Denmark or the EU. Customs is quite strict on sending (and receiving) outside of the EU.
Is the pink sundae not a perrennial in zone 3
It's a hardy annual... but not sure if it's perennial anywhere.
