Thank you all! I’m 74 and living in a tiny village (population 650) in Sweden. My connection to Army and to BTS is entirely through UA-cam, but I do actually feel connected! Somehow being Army means that I’m not invisible, even though I’m entirely unknown. I purple each of you and all of Army. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Congrats ‘young’ Army! I’m 70 years old from Canada and BTS helped me get through the pandemic and isolation loneliness
I watched Run BTS episodes up to this day no matter how many times I’ve watched them cause they still make me laugh. Take care and I hope we are still around when all the boys has completed their military service and reunite for another concerts or something!

I am a grandma, 61 years old and been an ARMY since late 2014 . I started following them since my husband and I started our journey with his liver cancer treatments. We also celebrated my husband’s 10th year anniversary this year, June 15, 2023 post liver transplant. Like BTS, we had one decade down, one milestone done, more years to go, still counting to a lifetime. BTS inspired us to be hopeful, gracious, inspired to go on with our journey to take the next step forward. Thank you BTS.

Thank you David KoreanPizzaClub for having Rosanne aka xCeleste !! Her documentaries on BTS made me love and understand what BTS is all about. When I started diving into BTS in 2017 I was so unsure of what is true and what is false. Thank goodness for Rosanne and her xCeleste UA-cam channel I got to realize what BTS is all about.

So many things in life can change a person. Finding BTS was helpful for me. Yoongi said “It doesn’t matter if you weren’t there for our Debut. When you found us we Debuted for you.” That was so profound! BTS is wonderful! Happy to share in this community! 💜

Great conversation! Just needed to add to give you my answer to one of the funniest moments: I still love their AMA 2021 Artist of the Year acceptance speech with the members all laughing at RM having no idea how long he was talking, V elbowing & waving everyone away from the mic so he could speak, and JK just trying to "focus on, focus on..." until Jin carried him off. Such a classic BTS moment!

Great conversation! I remember when I discovered BTS I didn't know I had sub-conscientiously supported toxic masculinity. They just blew that all away and, simply put, enlightened me inside and out. I'm still growing and learning because of them and GETTING YOUNGER because of them.

    • @joonierie6856

This is so nicely put. I can really relate to whatever you wrote. Not just toxic masculinity but the whole concept of loving and speaking myself which was very unknown to me changed my life through their lyrics. After becoming army I really got to know about lots of different concepts and systems and life. BTS really did changed my world and I'm grateful to them for eternity. Never regretted being army, ot7 army for life!!💪

I'm going to be 55 years young in July. I fell in love with the song Dynamite. I had no idea who sang it. After hearing it on the radio for a few days, I came home and went on youtube to find out who was singing it. BTS !!! I had never heard of KPOP but I went down the rabbit hole reading and learning about BTS. Such a talented group of young men. I have so much admiration and adoration for them all. They have overcome so many hardships and unkind people. They deserve every award they have received and so much more to come. Their authenticity and chemistry with each other are on another level. Can't wait to see them all together again. Because of BTS, I also began to look up South Korean culture and the country. I found you David because of BTS !!! I also found Anna because of BTS!!!! You guys popped up in my feed and I've been following you since......oh and Danny too lol. Blessings to you all

David and Anna, thank you so much for bringing these 2 AMAZING ARMY representatives to the show! You both “get” us English speaking ARMY and acknowledge that so many of BTS ARMY are not necessarily in their teens or of Asian decent.BTS has influenced this white middle aged American in ways that are simply indescribable. Saying “Sharing is caring” hit me like a ton of bricks during this podcast. My world has become so FULL with people who have “shared” with me and with those that I’ve “shared” with. These seven men reignited the passion for giving to millions and millions of people through the power of love and acceptance and honesty and integrity. I can’t believe how blessed I am to be alive during this time in human history. 💜

Happy 10 years ARMY!! I truly believe the longevity of BTS has to do with them as individuals. You can put out great music, you can have devastatingly attractive idols, and you can engage all you want. Will this work? Maybe, but not to this degree. Not only do BTS have all of the above and more, they're also very real. They share enough about themselves that we're able to fully grasp each personality, including their quirks, hobbies, strengths, and more importantly their weaknesses. They're delightfully imperfect and human. When you see this it helps you to relate to them, and understand that it's great to strive for strengths and goals, but it's human to have weaknesses too. You start to understand that these people you look up to are sharing many of the same struggles you are. When you combine that element with the quality of the music, content, and engagement and then you add in that they actually really care for one another??? AND THEIR FANS TOO??? That can't be fabricated. Marketing managers will run in circles for decades trying to figure it out, but when it comes down to it BTS cannot be duplicated. The transparency, sincerity, and unique personality of every single member is the magic. The stars aligned. They are a once in a lifetime experience. 💜

I wouldn't have known I'd meet so many wonderful people through K-pop. I first got into K-pop during 2nd generation. I took a step away for ten years but returned two years ago. I heard Mic Drop via a video game and loved the person's voice at the song's beginning. I looked up the mv and saw Hobi. I thought he was so cool. His voice was so unique and soothing. The next thing I knew, I'm looking at the other mv from the songs I listened to on the game. The rest is history. I've cultivated a community of ARMY, and I'm never leaving.
There will be issues wherever you go. This fandom is no different. However, focusing on the positive clearly outweighs the negative. I've been blessed to have grown since getting into the fandom through a difficult time. I'm so much happier these days.
As much as we love BTS, they love us back equally. Namjoon gave a shoutout to International ARMY, who are learning Korean to understand them better. I'm one of those individuals. I know it can be challenging to speak English, so I decided it was only fair and respectful to do the same.
Anyway, I never thought I'd travel all over the U.S. to see BTS. Thanks to BTS, I'm grateful to have those opportunities and shared stories I'll always have with me!

ever since we watched festa 22 all army´s was in panic thinking they would disband. but what happened instead was alot of deeper music than they could have ever given us as a group so now my mindset have changed as a fan. i want them to continue to do solo music along with group songs too. and maybe tour like that. imagine getting a concert with 7 artist combined but who also is a group.
now we get only yoongi tour but if we could get all of their solo songs performed in one show, i would be so happy. i think there futures is brighter than before. but i don´t know about the charts and all of that.
the younger army´s might not enjoy it as much as older mature people would but at the same time they will reach a whole different audience in the future. and the kpop lovers only, would miss the old BTS more since they love the heavy dance and all of that but i think BTS will do more deep songs like their solo stuff just as group songs in the future.
i do think they will still dance but not as wild as before because if someone get injured you don´t heal as fast. i see BTS as timeless.
even if other groups or artist becomes big, BTS is legends and will always stay relevant and powerful it´s just like the Beatles and rolling stones. their fans would still show up for a concert 10 years after. it´s the same with BTS

Well... they have always had solo and unit songs on their previous albums, even if it was not as in-depth as this Jack in the Box- Indigo- Face- D-Day era has been. I can easily see them doing a group tour with both group songs like RUN BTS and solo songs like Wildflower, Arson, Like Crazy and Haegum. And from the practical side, doing all-group all the time was pretty tiring for them; sprinkling in some solo stages will give them all turns to rest a bit.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. I'm newish ARMY as I only found them in early 2021 via Black Swan and was so impressed with their artistitc abilities, dancing, singing, rapping (and I Never listened to rap before), but became official ARMY a few months later. Rosanne (xCeleste) helped me learn a lot of their back story, and David your explanation videos are fantastic and brought a lot to us non-Korean ARMY's (or at least to this one). I'm old now so I can only hope that I'll be around with BTS for the next 10 years or so, but I'm here for whatever they bring! I have really enjoyed a few Western groups or artists in my lifetime, but I have never fangirled over a group like I am with BTS. It's not just their looks, their voices, their lyrics (although that's part of it), but it is their passion, their hard work in the face of adversity, their compassion, their brotherhood. It's the whole package really. I have never experienced another group like this and I doubt there will be another group that will come close in my lifetime (and I might not know if there is because right now I only have eyes and ears for BTS). Anyway, thank you. I enjoyed all of you sharing with us your journey with BTS!

so true i would say BTS is the only thing that can bring people from all over the world together in peace. there is no racism or bullied about how you look or ethnicity, and also every age is accepted. older army´s take care or scold younger army who don´t know about army value. and scold them for stalking the members and taking pictures without consent stuff like that. I am very lonely in my everyday life but BTS connected me to people all over the world. on twitter or reaction channels and even discords and twitch.
and channels like yours is actually a link for army to connect, who don´t use twitter. just the youtube comments alone works as a discussion forum for army hehe. so you all helped in spreading BTS and their value to the world.

She is going to share some of the pix and things with some of her ARMY friends, including a Marine (soldier). Yep. That's ARMY. We don't horde, we share.
I've been a fan of DKTV (especially David) as long as I've been a fan of BTS - cuz explanations! They have helped me understand Korean culture and gave me a greater appreciation of the MV's which tend to mystify me (cuz I be old!) xCeleste has been a gem to us newer fans.

We live in the US and I had never bought international stamps before. I've now developed a friendship with the postman at the post office due to the numbers of times I've been in to buy stamps. That kind of info is more insightful and really helps army learn and gives us more info to appreciate BTS even more!!

It's true that BTS made korean men attractive to Westerners. My brother studies in the US, and he's asian. He said girls come up to him and ask if he's korean. He said girls' preference in terms of what "handsome" is, changed. It's no longer Ken from Barbie, it's BTS.

A chat with RM sounds like heaven. I was once asked who I'd like to invite to dinner and I replied Kim Namjoon and every one looked at me with a complete look of who is that. I had to explain and said I've always wanted to just sit down with him and 'pick his brains' However I think I've be too star struck at first to even got a word out. Hiking with Namjoon yes please, count me in, he can tell me all about the natural Fauna and Flora of Korea as we walk.

Idols in Korea have such a strict and limited life because fans holding up to the ridiculous standards but I think BTS is slowing changing the mindset. In my opinion, the reasons they have stuck together all these years are their chemistry and mainly Jin. Of course they wouldn't still exist and lasted if they weren't talented and have a great company behind them. That being said, Jin is the glue and the reason why they will stay together for many more years. I've been following BTS since July 2019 and I'm Korean-American. Since Korean culture places a strong emphasis on being the oldest, Jin's role is pivotal. Jin is the role model for the members. He is so humble, caring and most importantly fun. All the members want to be around him because he is fun to be with. Virtually every video I've seen of BTS (there are tons of videos), Jin is the mood setter and funniest. Jin might not be the most talented singer, rapper, or dancer but he knows how to entertain and that is the bottom line. BTS is in the entertainment business and nobody does it better than BTS and especially Jin.

Jin said it at Youngi´s show: the reason BTS has been able to exist for 10 years is because the 7 of them put BTS above their own desires and wishes, they have it very clear.

There is a saying within the Fandom that BTS comes to your life in a right time. I don`t know how could I have survived of loss of my 2 loved ones if I didn`t meet BTS.
That day when I discovered BTS, my close soulmate friend was dying from cancer. Irony of the Life that she was born in June 13th. 4 moths later my Only loving brother passed away from Covid.. Everyday of my so hardship BTS was there for me. Day by day 7 of them held my hand and didn't let me drown on my grief. I appreciate having them in my life!

Their Talent and work ethic and well, as an old dancer myself, I was amazed . I'm new silver army, not a fan of pop music, but BTS is something else, something new and so very good . Then I learned about their lyrics, and RM's literary journey, the BU. I wanted to know more about them and watched In the soop, and the others. It's the combination of message, lyrics, excellent Vocals, rap that can hold stage with anyone out there, singing dancing and holding your pitch at the same time, I was totally blown away. But mainly, I like them as people. They feel sincere and live their lives as real people with the same problems as the rest of us. I also love that they are rebels.
BTS is not K pop, but until they use more english, they won't be able to make the hop. why, because people want to know what you're saying and the majority of the world speak english as 1st or 2nd language. BTS is so good, western musicians are terrified of them. No one stands a chance .
Asian males have always been good looking to me. The two asian males in my HS were very popular in IL. example : my 10 yr. old granddaughter told me when it's time for her to get married she will go to Korea to find her husband. They are polite, smart, and nice and clean. LOL. My 69 yr old thoughts, woman have had to wear makeup to be considered attractive for decades, why not men. Fix your eyebrows, wash your hair, get rid of filthy beards, and cover up that zit and eye bags, no one wants to see that and if woman have to, men can step it up too. FYI a little eyeliner wouldn't hurt either, LOL.

remember how left and right witch was a pure english song written by charlie puth was put in the kpop category, just because JK sang 1 verse?. i was like, that is so wrong and it happened on angel pt 1 too. but they also put it on other platforms too.
so they will still be considered kpop but now they are more than that, if the song does well enough it will move up in other categories. but it´s a shame because people who dont like kpop will never visit the kpop category and discover a hidden gem. that´s why army work so hard to stream and show people they matter and give them cloth so that more people can hear their song.

(Raising my hand) I'm one of the newbies who discovered BTS during Covid! My first introduction was the Time magazine article that stated they had broken records set by the Beatles, and I about fell on the floor that a group had broken Beatle records!! Right then I started to check out this Kpop/BTS thing. The first video was the Dynamite dance practice. I remember thinking..."Ok, this is kinda cute, but this group broke a Beatles record???.....I don't get it." Luckily I happened on a video that told the history of the group. It took a few days on You Tube but I watched all their MV's, music show performances, award show performances, clips from concerts, dance practices, the documentary Burn the Stage, and discovered the reasons why they were a record breaking group. I'll never forget those few days and the deep dive I did finding out about BTS. I'm with Anna and my favorite song is On. I get chills whenever I watch it. Thanks to David and his guests for such an interesting show!! The best is yet to come!! 💜
