We really appreciate that you can make such a great review :) The reason for not setting up an external microphone is to keep the size of the microphone tiny enough. In the future, we will consider improving the technology to take into account both the small size of the microphone and the external microphone. Keep going!💪
Hey Victor, this looks great. I just purchased the DJI Mic and the form factor and charging case (very similar) was a game changer. I urge everyone to purchase a wireless mic like this 👍
I'll try but I'm not the best at audio tbh haha! here's a quick breakdown of my processing - I pretty much do denoise + multiband Compressor + Parametric Equalizer (classic v). Keep the levels at -6db for vocals.

Yeah, I did the free training first and then looked up a in person course that Blackmagic offered or at least a certified trainer to get certified. Nothing special really just means you went through their training and you’re equipped with the knowledge and passed the course.

I want to take my videography more seriously and a good audio is something I've been missing for a long time. I will like to use it in my workflow and save money as I've been already renting mics like that. Good equipment doesn't mean good video. But let's be honest. Audio is really important. I'm only a film student so I don't have enough money for everything. I need to invest safely in my equipment. Can you record with a lav microphone? I’d use this to record my family vlogs. I shoot on the RF16mm f2.8 and the AF motors can be heard on shotgun mics. @anhbai
I think this would be a good compact solution for the travel walkabout videos that my wife and I are starting to create. I'm always looking for smaller gear to travel with, so I can fit more duty-free in my case on the way home!! @kengriffith45
Victor, why are you limiting yourself to such small, and saturated niche of photo/videography on youtube? You are not doing anything what others have not and not any better, but, IMO since you have hinted your fluency in Chinese language and having a Chinese partner, you can have audience size of hundreds of thousands if not above a million, if you can shift your channel focus to maybe mix-race relationship (@Asianboss), stories of you learning Chinese (@xiaomanyc), or heavier topics like china-taiwan politics (@TheChinaShow / @SerpentZA). Engagements (aka controversies) of those types of channels are through the roof. You have the "natural advantage", why not use it to your benefit instead of trying to infiltrate this saturated niche of vlogging gears and is progressing to nowhere....
I’ve done the vlogging niche before and frankly I didn’t like it. I enjoy making these video/photography videos even if I don’t reach hundreds of thousands.
I love how you show us the differences between original and the microphones. This would be a nice microphone to start my first time trying making a short cinematic film @catipayrannel I hope I'm not too late it's fine if I am.

No :( there's no 3.5mm jack on the microphone units to connect a lav.

Vimo C is definitely a good contender for doc work! Unfortunately, they had to keep the size down so there's no 3.5mm jack to put a lav.
