I dont know how this video came up on my feed. I have no interest in fishing, but i decided to watch it anyway. Amazingly, i sat and watched the whole thing. I was genuinely intrigued. Great camera angle.
Yeah I've been fishing. I'm always fishing. Just haven't had any motivation to edit videos for a while. I have tons of good footage just sitting on my hard drive. I'll try and get some videos out soon since you just gave me some motivation. Thanks!
Awesome. My brother and his kids are there this week to enjoy and do a little fishing. Watching your vids always keeps me smiling! Throughly enjoy your vids and the enthusiasm you have on your vids!
I'm around. I've never taken UA-cam very serious and just been busy and haven't made any time to do any editing. I'll try and make some time and get some new vids up cause I've got tons of really good footage.
I guess the glue just ripped from that fish pulling so hard. If you’re asking what happened to it after it ripped, I went and grabbed it out of the ocean and took it home. And yeah…BIG day out there🤙🏼
@@Mr.Markus. -- Ah. I thought maybe you'd get a postcard from the grip when it landed on the shores of Guam or some other exotic location. Is that a new motor you loaded into the pedal slot?
@@Mr.Markus. Awesome. If you are open to it, I’d love to hear your advice on braining halibut. I get it eventually but sometimes have to make multiple attempts. Thanks!
Why are you using offshore rod n reels to catch halibut. You reeled the 24incher in like it was a pin fish. That's all I see on UA-cam. It's like guys are scared to fish with lighter tackle
I'm not fishing for halibut for the epic fight, I'm fishing for them for food. Because they pretty much never put up an epic fight. So a lighter rod is just gonna take longer and increase the chance of me losing dinner. The heavier rods are mainly for the bycatch. Sharks and rays. I don't wanna fight a 70lb bat ray on a noodle. No thanks.
Hi! For future reference. fisherman don't often share their spots, especially if they are high yield, in order to avoid overtargeting. In this case, he's launching from somewhere in Central Cal, but likely won't share anything further. Cheers
I was out there. 13 hours on Friday and 10 hours on Saturday for 2 small fish. Lots of sharks. Broken rudder. Bad weekend for me. That’s why they call it fishing.
It’s the season here soon man I’ll be out here and there buddys got a boat might focus on the islands this season as well as the grounds fun stuff every time 🤙🤙🤙

Watching you deal with that 3rd Butt was pretty crazy and awesome!
Fantastic catches and great job!
Thanks! Yeah not my best showing with the gaff skills but they both made it into the boat and that's all that matters.

That sucker ripped the grip off of my gaff he pulled so hard!
On the water at 0 dark 30 and off at noon with 3 nice flatties. Got to love it !! Mr. Markus killin it.

You don’t need me to go fishing. Just go!
Pretty sweet stuff, enjoyed the catches might get myself a little set up like yours one day.
That halibut dosen't get nasty hanging dead off the side of the boat there all day?
Great job landing double 40+ butts. I want to go halibut fishing with you. 😁😁
Grind time payoff!!! Congrats on the doormats sir!!!
A woman could do this way better than you could
Awesome job... I got 2 big halibut from there too.

I'm not a part of the fishing community, I was expecting a whole other video.
Nice catches though
Got some good laughs during the gaff work. Those are not small fish. Curious, what do you keep in the orange box up front?
Not my best work with the gaff but fortunately they still came home with me. Haha. The orange box has my battery for the fish finder.

When will you release your next video?
I’ve been slacking with the editing but almost got a video done so I’ll try and get it uploaded this week.
Nice ones.
Great watch 👍

Hey Markus great stuff love your vids. What are the specs on that Tallus and what is that spinning rod in your lap at 3:15?
Y estas aguas tan tranquilas de donde son? Es un lago ? it's a lake ? From?
Es el Océano Pacifico en California.
How old can these fishes be?
These ones are probably around 10-15 years old. They can live to around 30 years max.

I go out from the beach. Haha. And yeah that comment above says enough. You don’t need to fish where I fish to catch fish. Just get out there.
My turn! take me with you! haha
I don’t think we could both fit on my kayak. Haha

Def halibut not flounder.
one rod per fisherman in Cali
That law is for freshwater fishing. Not saltwater🥱
@@Mr.Markus. not in certain inland salt water areas like SF bay/Delta its in regs

I think it’s a dock demon.
