Agreed, I get tired of and sometimes annoyed by the hundreds of so-called "professional" angler channels with their clickbait titles, product and company promotions, and rambling. "Triple your bites with this lure modification", "tournament secret", "other pros ate gonna hate me for this" lol "forward sonar is hurting fishing". "This works best in 5-8' of semi-clear water during the shad spawn when the mayflies are hatching and there's a full moon". I kid you not, one of these guys has a "bring your gun when you're fishing" video with comments from several idiots saying it's a good idea. L O L

This guy is the Bob Ross of fishing. Thank you so much, Matt. For those who are constantly working and caught up in the urban environment and can rarely get on the lake or river, this is VERY therapeutic. The sounds of the birds, reel spinning, the water, bugs. This is just pure nostalgia. Thank you, sir.

I’m sure I don’t speak for everyone, but I’d rather watch you catch twelves all day long versus some jackass with three hundred sponsors catching lunkers off his 100k+ boat. It’s not necessarily about catching the giants. It’s quality videos with no music or flair. Keep em coming, bud.

I finished my 71st trip around the sun and I fish in an 8' PondProwler with a trolling motor but I have saved myself a fortune with the ability to cruise into shallow areas and retrieve jigs and lures and sometimes flies! Pretty lake and I love that mirror finish on the water.

My favorite time od day "up north"...that magic time just before sunrise, water dead calm, no human sounds, just nature. Then, finally, in a far off part of the lake, the distant report of an outboard motor, another early riser out to get the early bite. I love it.

Next time it may be a good idea to bring an Ultralight rig for having fun at Lake Dink. At least your catching fish & it won't be long till the next vid & bigger fish . Minnesota is a fantastic place & you never know what you may catch but the time i went for 2 weeks with friends we had a blast & not one day we didn't do well for Pike , Walleyes , Large & Smallmouths , Rock Bass ,Bluegills & great Black Crappies. Every lake is a challenge & beautiful as can be.

That lake is very much like so many around here. Lots of bass, but most are 1.5lbs or so. When I do find a "honey hole" I keep it secret. Twice in my life I have seen trophy bass waters ruined. The last time, as "luck" would have it, as my friend was photographing my PB 8.6lb bass, a reporter was secretly photographing us from hiking trails along side the lake. I ended up on the front page of the town paper, and by the next weekend not a parking space was to be found at the launch. Invasive weeds were introduced, and over 2 decades later the place is still choked out and fishing is poor at best. I appreciate the fact you still post videos of less than impressive catches, it speaks volumes to your character. Hats off to you man. Tight lines and happy fishing.
