- The LEGO Star Wars 2013 Republic Gunship (75021) has shot up in value and today we take a look back at how great it is. The Gunship originally sold for $120 but is now worth over $500 new! Unless you missed out on the last one I don't think it needs a new version. It was fine as it is, no change needed. Maaaybe some smoother track function, as the last version really needed to be on a carpet to roll properly.

We should have a ucs set with a (minifig scale) tank droid and republic gunship together
I recently parted this out with the sticker sheet for around $120, including shipping. I already had the minifigs and I did substitute the printed canopy pieces for trans-black ones, which I think look cleaner anyway. Definitely go this route instead of buying a complete, used set.

As amazing as this set still is, I have to say that I think the 2020 AT-AT is my new all-time favorite “playset”.
I know we’re getting a UCS set, but I have a feeling we’ll get a playset scale version within a year or two. Maybe a clone wars play scale set and UCS episode 2 set.

@@bulletgrievous the last few years have been pleasantly surprising. I really like the new Coruscant Gunship. Have the UCS one wall mounted in my office. And AT-TE was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Hopefully we get UCS UWing soon.
For the next one, I hope 1) the ball turrets look better, 2) there are more clones, 3) the clone pilot helmets are accurate, 4) the cockpits become printed, and 5) the doors can close all the way when you remove/move the ball turrets

Lego Star Wars never peaked in 2013, contrary to popular belief. They didn’t bother adding a 2nd pilot (albeit inaccurate with the fin), not one white clone, and just threw Obi wan in the pilot seat and Anakin inside the bubble turret.
Lego Star Wars didn’t start becoming lazy recently… they always were lazy
Petition to have LEGO make each leg separate on battle droids and super battle droids
Jon Partridge with that, the clips on each leg could be a bit bigger so the legs don’t slide around on the bar/not be in the middle

I love this shuttle, it's on top of my PS4 stand guarding it, there needs to be an upgrade with phase 2 soldiers and pilots.

I managed to get a gunship used on ebay for 160 bucks, it came fully completed even had the instruction manual and poster, and it even had an extra commando droid, best deal of my life
I’m so happy to have bought all the 2013 attack of the clones sets at once. They skyrocketed like crazy in value also fun fact: you can hollow out the space by the back turret and put in a clone trooper
The entire reason why I put the Coruscant Police gunship on my wishlist was because I loved this set and the Coruscant gunship was like an urbanised version of it. I didn't put this set on was because the police gunship was about $200 cheaper (Although still very expensive). Opening it up on Christmas day was so exciting and one of the best experiences of my life. Now that they are adding a UCS one, I am so excited, although if it does not have enough clones, I will be spending a lot of money on minifigures.
It’s a UCS set, there’s no reason for it to include so many clones. Two figures makes sense (even though the two we got weren’t good)

Lego should make a battle droid battle pack
Got this set for christmas along with the duel on Geonosis, the 501st walker, and the AT-TE. I only ended up building the AT-TE as a kid so I still have the three other sets sealed, which is really lucky.

I remember saving up for ages and after summer school exams, as an early birthday present from my dad, he paid for the rest.
I was so happy when I went to Argos (a shop in the UK) and collected it, I will never forget that day :))

I got this set, the ATTE, the Spider droid, and the tank droid. They are amazing and are one of my favorite set groups.
I just took my copy off my display shelf to go into storage for me to display it in my own house when I’m older. An amazing set and I’m very happy I got it when it first released.

I have found their quality to be good enough and considering the savings its worth it to me
I once was given this set on Christmas in 2002 or something, I remember my mother helped me build it. It didn't last that long due to me not realizing it's actual worth and I ended up taking apart many of its pieces, and over time it has just seemingly disappeared in my old LEGO toy box. Good memories, cool to see it again online.

I love this set but I must say every argument used to defend the 2020 AAT is being used here (U can mod it, and kids will love the play feature even if it's not accurate). Just saying.

But I understand. I really like the 2020 AAT and don't mind the long cannon. And I have this gunship and don't mind the tiles in the cargo bay. I don't have enough clones to fill the space anyway 😂. I actually put the forward command post battle pack build into the cargo bay.

Don't get the set. Buy the pieces separately and use digital instructions. Otherwise you're going to pay way to much. Or save up for the UCS version
Lt. Robin yeah good point, it is impossible to find an LAAT below 300 bucks today and you would probably be better off just buying the parts and looking at the instructions online

I had to certainly be in this set, because we all know from the *Original Trilogy* thet a light-ropes dressed Jedi with a lightsaber was going to fight Dooku in Geonosis.
My absolute favorite set I've ever bought! Saving up all of chore money as a 13 year old to buy this set was so worth it 😁

Better yet you probably didn't know you needed a 3D printed figure of your minifigure which is much larger than the LEGO version!

That had nothing to do with the video, just a random thought I'd share with you.
This is my favorite Lego Star Wars set that I own. As I kid I modified the handle by putting a rod through the front of the handle so that I had no chance of dropping it when wrapping my fingers around it
I got this set when it came out along with the AT-TE lots of nostalgia for this.

Was so happy when i got this for christmas honestly a great set.
I used to have this set, and I still kinda do. I have the poster in my room right now, and every once in a while I find chunks of the sets in my LEGO bins. I still have the clone trooper captain, too.

I'm really hoping the upcoming UCS set is minifigure-scaled like the Slave I, Millennium Falcon, and Imperial Shuttle. I'm excited to see what they can do at that scale better than BrickVault, especially with custom new pieces on the table for the bubble turrets.

Hey MandRproductions just wanted to say great video my mom gave away all my legos a few years back when I was 12 I’m 14 now and I’m trying to get back into LEGO Star Wars I have no LEGO Star Wars items anymore but I’ve seen a lot of the summer 2020 sets you reviewed and a lot of the older sets and just wanted to say thank you for pretty much helping me pick the first set to add to my new collection I’ve decided to go with the new AAT coming out on September first excited to get my first set and regrow and start fresh with a new collection

this was my absolute favorite set when I was younger
Was over at a flea market over the weekend start of April (2024), a half filed storage container of Lego bricks most of the builds still in there being somewhat intact to took apart Star Wars ships an the Gunship here was in it. It looked like it was crashed an parts salvage off by Jawas, not sure if all the peace’s was in the container but I could see it getting modified into a possible bounty, hunter ship, or other type of transport for a group in the Star Wars universe. If anyone is wondering yes I did get the container, no I have not started rebuilding it yet.
Got me a used complete set with box and manual for $50 a couple months ago and life is glorious 🙌

I have this set but I messed up/ skipped a step on accident and I couldn’t figure out how to fix it so I have a half built gunship sitting in my basement. This motivated me to go and try to finish it. This gonna look cool filled with 501st troopers
