One bit of criticism. The Yuhzohn Vong threatens violence against you if you speak one more word. Then when you remain silent, says you are already dead. It feels a bit inconsistent and overly edgy. To me it would be more immersive, if instead he mocks you, congratulating you on knowing when to hold your tongue.

I think this is great! But you should pitch the voices up or down to make them slightly different so you know who's talking. If there weren't subtitles to tell you which individual was talking, you wouldn't be able to tell.
Or you could use your v.o. output on a different vocoder and get a similar effect but with a different voice.

it's just me maintaining the genesis modlist and making huge scope mods such as this but there's other independent star wars modders who are making mods too ofc, and i add those to the list. i've only made about like 40 mods in this list. all us main star wars modders talk often and help each other out. they've been especially helpful as they often give me their raw mod files for me to modify freely to implement into genesis easier.
i did recently open a volunteer project forum on my discord. It's usually minor projects that are simple to mod but time consuming. For example, our first one is a full magazine replacement overhaul and i gave them a base folder to use and a labeled a list of all files they need to replace. People have been calling dibs on certain magazine collections and its been working well so far
as for this mod, i have been using AI for these voices but it's ALOT of work. it sometimes takes like 5-10 minutes to get a single voiceline have the perfect tone and speed. The most time consuming process is actually writing my own plot tho. Cuz first i have to map out the entire conversation tree which is usually 5+ pages long. and then i have to write my plot around the base of the old conversation. so even tho im changing all the dialogue and voices, i can't change the order in which they talk or when it's our character's turn to talk
@@DeityVengy bethesda needs to hire you. The dialogue isn't exactly the best written piece of sci fi, but th etone is way more interesting than anything in starfield.
@@DeityVengy Would you potentially consider getting a real VA to rerecord the lines for prominent characters once the story/dialogue for the whole thing is finalised? It's impressive what you've done with just AI and I'm not against its use for non-profit fan works like this, but you obviously get a lot more complexity out of a real performance which could be beneficial for the larger roles in the story!

I pray the demons of Cease & Desist don't come down on this at the end of August. Disney and Ubisoft making their own open-world Star Wars RPG might cause some issues if they view this as a threat (which they should, given that this looks miles ahead of what they're doing with Outlaws from a role-playing and story standpoint). One thing I'd recommend as someone who's only mucked around with Creation Kit like once or twice is adding in ambient sky-traffic for Coruscant by animating static lower-poly ship models to simply fly around the city. That and replacing the greenery with a cityscape that should, due to limitations with the engine itself, be blocked off with in invisible wall using LOD trickery to give the effect of being on a proper ecumenopolis without needing to model every individual street like Star Citizen does in places. Once someone makes a good melee-combat overhaul and some fancier animations, is that when we're gonna get proper lightsabers?
--As a sidetone/conspiracy, I feel like Beyond Good & Evil 2 got silently shelved and they reused a lot of the systems they had made when making Outlaws, which sucks because that looked like it had an original story and Outlaws seems kinda generic even with the original characters.

This is amazing, but to create an engaging story may be the hardest thing to do. A bad story can cast an ugly shadow over the project ( like Fallout the Frontier), get a good team of writers and keep the ideas tight. Find a good supervisor besides the writers themselves, maybe someone who already lives writing stuff, maybe a comic or a book writer or whatever. Keep up the good work! great mod!

The modpack is insane. I've also been playing a lot and I've actually got further into the story / missions. I never completed starfield and I got bored after like 16 hrs. But I am so immersed in the star wars sandbox, it's keeping me hooked. Playing as a Mando bounty hunter is just awesome. Can someone please tell me where to find the Jango Fett pistol please!

yup i fixed the rocket launcher spam and made numerous balance changes for v5. hope u like it :D

Are you replacing the planets with Star Wars planets or are the Yuuzhan Vong invading the Milky Way? It would probably be better to just make an entirely separate game in Starfield like Enderal or something.
@DeityVengy Honestly the Star wars mods for this game fits in better for it being an actual space game. Skyrim and Fallout Star Wars mods felt out of place for good reason.
Do you think your mods st will ever hit the xreations club or Steam mod pages?
I play on my Steam Deck and wabbajack was impossible on Linux when i tried for Skyrim unless it is now working.

unfortunately i dont think itll ever hit those places. only wabbajack can auto-install a stable mo2 modlist like this :/

when v5 comes out, u just install in a new place using wabbajack again and can freely delete the old v4 install
When is v5 coming? also there is some patch on steam rn and idk if it will break mods or not i dont think i can play without downloading it

Deity, you say this will be your side project for years to come, and we have seen so many articles where they say modders are giving up on starfield, do you think that will become true or do you thibk starfield will have a long term dedicated modding community?
it already has a dedicated modding community tbh. all these star wars authors have been modding it for over a year now. it's definitely smaller than skyrim or fallout's modding community but it still exists

Looks incredible! Pls don't make this overhaul based on Empire ERA. Choose a different ERA - make your own. Somewhere around Old Republic era would be nice. Maybe between Exar Kun's assault on Republic Systems and Fall of Revan/Jedi Civil War. Which is rise of Mandalore The Ultimate and the invasion by Mandalorians. Tell a side story with this one.
