O-ring is one of my favorites as well, the other being the gasket dumbbells. The great thing about this board is that you can take it apart, switch mounting styles, and close it back up in under 30 seconds. The ball-catch latch system is really a game changer!

It's definitely not silent, but I wouldn't call it louder than other boards. If sound is an issue, you can consider quieter switches or even silent switches!
There's a few pads installed already on the bottom case (one for the top and bottom, and each corner also has a protector installed). In my experience, you do not need additional mods to help with case resonance!

Gaket sounds a tad deeper and o ring is a bit sharper/high pitched, the pillars make it the highest pitched IMO
