I love Art Deco. I've been making some digital artworks I call Artillions or LJA Luxury Jewelry Art for some time now without knowing that there's actually an industrial influenced jewelry art style it mimics. The difference however is that mine are futuristic are not worn but adorned meant for home or office wall spaces. Jewelry for homes and offices if you like. Sadly lacking resources and being new I am yet to produce any talk less of marketing them. But learning about Art deco cleared a lot for me because I look around I see my art style in a lot of industrial tech based objects, clothes and architecture. Thanks for sharing. Keep it up.
Lol I’m watching this again. What kinds of resins would they use back in Art Deco jewelry? Would that have been a Bakelite / phenolic resin? I have one like that, looks like carnelian but I think it’s resin. If I do a collection video/Art Deco video of my collection mind if I link to yours? You give a good history overview that doesn’t make sense to repeat. I love this video lol.
I’m hoping in the summer to wear some of my favorite Art Deco pieces and go to city hall here in Buffalo which is very Art Deco. Btw I posted on my page. Art Deco is my favorite, on the list of collection videos to do.
Chapel Hill Vintage Jewels and a few estate sales while you’re here! Yeah it’s my favorite building in Buffalo. I love architecture which is probably why I love Art Deco so much. We are Frank Loyd Wright lovers.
I found an exquisite set that has over 115 clear stones and 20 light blue stones and the earrings have a total of 24 stones the bottom of the necklace has like a half snow flake? Or a Fan like that sits upside down like the fans women used to fan themselves I wear it from time to time and had several ladies saying I should get it appraised they said it looks like diamonds and aquamarine?
Any jeweler will be able to tell you whether the stones are real or glass. If it is a period piece getting an appraisal and value is more difficult, you need to find someone to appraise vintage/antique jewelry.
Art Deco to me was freedom for "WOMEN " Cut hair, cut Corset's, finger waves, then the permanent wave machine was invented (fried many women's hair off) could wear bathing suits, Ziegfeld Follies, etc
Thank you for this video ❤

You mentioned that you tested to see if the dress clip was Bakelite. How is that testing done? Does it harm the piece in any way?
thanks so much! Very informative !!
Glad you enjoyed. Who doesn't like Art Deco jewelry, like the long beads...yum.
Thankyou ❤
