- Welcome to another installment of "My Jewelry Box". I hope you enjoy seeing some of my art deco jewelry collection. (The term "art deco" is short for "art décoratifs" which was coined at Paris' 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes.) This design style is one of sleek lines, geometric design and an elegant yet modern simplicity.
As always, thanks so much for watching, I hope you will consider subscribing so you don't miss any videos in the future! Hugs, Sandra. xo

The first ring you showed us is exquisite
Thanks Lina! I appreciate you coming to my channel!
Whoa! What a great art deco show. My favorites were bracelets. The green multi strand and the one you called old, silver square, simple and beautiful. Also of course, both of you Mom's rings. Fantastic pieces!
They are all my favorite!
Thanks Sheila!!!!
I want the carnelian brooch with panther...OOOOO..so beautiful!!
That's one of my faves, I just got it a few weeks ago. Thanks so much.
Wow, stunning jewellery pieces, thank you for sharing 👍👍👏👏💖💖
Thanks for liking Chris! Cheers!
I think Art Deco was ahead of its time that look is still popular today.
Helen, you are exactly right and that is well put! It was ahead of its time!!!! Thanks for watching. xo
All are beautiful. Amazing.
Thank you! Cheers!
Oh there all beautiful 😍
Thank you! 🤗
Beautiful jewelry! I love the gold tone panel bracelet with the mother of pearl. Super.
Thank you! Cheers!
Wonderful collection, I LOVE Art Deco. My favourites are the sterling and marcasite bracelet with the rectangles, the sterling bracelet and earring set with the black diamonds, and the final platinum ring. My engagement ring is an art deco platinum, emerald ring with old European cut diamonds. I am so happy that I did something unusual all those years ago and chose a stunning estate ring rather than a new one!
I love antique rings so much better than the new ones too. Thanks so much for watching!!
Sandra you had me at Art Deco. lol.
You have such beautiful Jewelry thank you for sharing.
Thanks!!!! 😊
Last ring too♥️🐱
Yeah, that’s a good one!
Beautiful Jewelry. I love the last ring (item) you showed as my favorite. TFS
Thank you so much! That ring is awesome!!!! xo
Beautiful collection! It’s hard to pick one favorite. I loved them all.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it!
Love love love every single piece..thanks so much...
Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤ for the knowledge .
Thank you for watching!
I think the clear rhinestone brooch at 9:00 is an articulated sash brooch. Fantastic collection.
Thanks so much! It certainly no longer articulates -- it's been welded together UGH. haha! Cheers!
Thanks for sharing, what beauriful pieces. The dress clip with the missing orange stones is gorgeous. I have seen the orange stones. They are more "like" the color of Swarovski's Padparadsha.
Blessings to you Sandra!
Oh that's interesting!!! Thanks Rosemary for the info and for watching!
I loved the first and last rings the most. All the peices are beautiful.
Thanks so much 😊
Always learning something interesting from you, thanks 🙏🏼
That’s very nice of you to say. Thank you.
Love love ❤️
Thanks for watching.
Great pieces, love all the brooches of course, the 1st ring was cool.
Thanks for watching!!!
Thanks for showing us your collection. Especially love the leopard with carnelian. Great lines.
Thanks for watching! That is a really GOOD ONE! Thanks so much for watching!
I love all your jewelry.i enjoyed your video.
Thanks for watching!
Another professional production: well done! In addition to a smooth sequencing of jewelry pieces, you have included a brief intro that is most informative. I agree that the first item you questioned as more Edwardian seems a tad too ornate to fit the Deco streamlined characteristics, but for some reason, ( I believe a stronger geometric influence in the flat metal "base" of the brooch ), the second piece really does fit well into your Deco category. I enjoyed this presentation thoroughly. Thank you!
Thanks so much for the comments!!!!! Cheers!
Your taste is amazing.
Awww thanks a million. Hugs
Such a great presentation! Beautiful jewelry Sandra love all! Jewelry lover I am! Much blessings thank you for your knowledge!
Thank you so much! Cheers, SANDRA
I love them all, but the brooches are stunning, especially the ones with the blue stone and the onyx swirl. I agree that the two “controversial” pieces both appear to me to be Edwardian because there are still some art nouveau elements. I really enjoy these videos, so thanks so much for creating them and sharing.
Yeah, I think so too. That green one looks deco on the bottom and nouveau on top! So pretty in any event. Thanks a million for watching!!!! Hugs, SANDRA
Now I have a better idea about Art Deco! Thank you for this video! Looking forward for more!
I'm so glad! Thanks for watching!
Beautiful 😍
Thank you! 😊
Deco’ covered everything in chrome, your first brooch is an example xoxo
Yeah! Thanks Dana!!!! I can't wait to check out your channel!!! xoxoxo
Beautiful pieces of Art Deco in your collection!
Thank you! Cheers!
Necklace at 17:40 is pure Victorian, in the Eastlake style.
Thanks for that -- it doesn't look that old to me -- in fact, it somewhat looks like a later repro??? It's a tricky one!!! I appreciate you watching. Hugs, SANDRA
I throughly enjoyed looking at your collection of art deco style. Could you (if possible) sometime show some art nouveau pieces and explain the differences?
Great idea! I have only a few art nouveau items, but I will try to get to them at some point. The main thing is that deco has a clean, geometric simplicity & nouveau is curvy, ornate and "flowy". Thanks for watching!
These are some absolutely stunning pieces! I'm new to jewelry and, I must say, a big fan! Thank you for sharing these lovely gals with us!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad! xo
Great video! I really love love LOVE marcasite and sterling jewelry--it goes with pretty much everything! I have a huge domed egg-shaped marcasite ring from the deco period that I need to stop wearing because I bash it into everything, but I just love it so much I feel incomplete without it! My favorite pieces from the video however would have to be the both of your mother's rings, especially that last one. W-O-W!!! Thanks for keeping me company tonight and showing us more of your collection ❤️
Awesome Tracey!!! Thanks so much for watching!
Love these! Have u done an art nouveau collection?
8:32 are Czech rhinestone, I can probably help you xoxo
You rock girl!! xo
😍😍😍😍holy smoke!!! Im soooo in love with art deco❤️❤️❤️. I was drewling so much I'm surprised my phone didn't shut down! Any chance your gonna sell any of these beauties?😉😉😉
Thank you so much!! I might sell some -- reach out to me at iamthefunkypickle at gmail! Thanks again, SANDRA
I like the blue brooch (2nd Piece you had shown), Love the 1928's pink earrings, the 1928's brooch, green beaded bracelet (stunning piece), sterling, onyx & marcasite pierced earrings, sterling marcasite bracelet with the fold over clasp, symmetalic gold & sterling bracelet and the sterling silver necklace with the simple links, looks like an onyx stone. Thank you for the Art Deco show, beautiful pieces and enjoyed your video very much! Which gem tester do you use?
Thanks so much! I use the Presidium gem tester -- I just got a new one yesterday that I haven't yet unboxed, because my other two don't work... Cheers!!!
Love the panther! I’m curious about how to date the rings? I struggle with that. I have a few rings that are definitely Art Deco style but cannot say if they are from the Art Deco era.
Thanks for watching. I am circa dating the rings based on their style, materials used, and "feel", if that makes any sense. Best of luck. Hugs, SANDRA
17:45 is Nouveau
It's lovely, isn't it? Thanks for watching Dana!!! Hugs
Could you paint the back of where the coloured rhinestones and put in a clear one?
Maybe, but I might just keep is as is… thanks a ton for watching !!!! xo
What kind of gold looks did they do for art deco?
Well, I suppose the same as with costume jewelry - deco is deco I guess!!!! Thanks for watching. Cheers
How do you get to your eBay store?
Hey Keith, thanks for your interest. If the link in the description box isn't working (it's WONKY!) then just search by eBay seller for "THE FUNKY PICKLE STORE". Thanks again.
Try typing in Art Deco jewelry company, maybe? I think those other two pieces are not Art Deco. Does 1928 make Art Nouveau?
Hi, thanks for commenting. I'm pretty sure 1928 does make nouveau stuff... Cheers!
