•Write your idea down paper.
•Draw a picture or image of your idea the best you can or have someone you know and trust draw your idea for you. Make sure the drawing has dimensions and describes exactly what your idea does.
•Go to www.copyright....
Search for Form VA then print the 4 page form www.copyright..... Follow directions on the forms, there are fees that apply, this you will have to research.
Include pictures or drawings of your idea with written full details of how your idea works.

Now, the U.S Copyright Office doesn’t work fast, it will take 6-8 months or maybe even longer, but eventually someone will get to your idea and put it through the data bank. If no one else has your idea, then the Copyright Office will send you an important piece of paper, your official Copyrighted idea. Put it immediately into your safe. Make a copy if you like to share with family and friends. Most importantly keep working your idea until you find an interested person or company who can make your idea happen. Or maybe you can make your idea where you live, that’s even better.
