That was right at the end! It cost £300 or so - that’s for the room for one night, buffet dinner, and tours for each of the hotel’s secret tunnels (that’s for two people, of course!)
This building is not a traditional Taiwanese building and you can tell the complete appearance difference between this building and almost any other building you can find in Taiwan. As you said this building was built by Chiang-kai-shek intention to imitate China's palace after he and his followers fled China to Taiwan.
Taiwanese culture is chinese culture, this is definitely a traditional Taiwanese building. And calling their government flee to Taiwan is not fair too. Republic of China is literally the only legal government in Taiwan. And without the support and resources of republic of china, Taiwan would still be a third world country today. Please study Taiwanese history before making review like this.
@@lirenchow-v9c Taiwanese culture is a mix of Austronesian, Japanese, Chinese and western cultures. Taiwanese society was much richer and more civilization than your country without ROC support before ww2. I have no any interest in talking with an illiterate who knows no thing about human history.

@@lily-dw5kn I agree that Taiwanese society and culture is highly diverse, but this is because of the complex history of the Taiwan island itself, it doesn't means Taiwanese culture is not a part of chinese culture, every regions in China has it's unique characteristics, so does Taiwan. And I think you are just neglecting how much the republic of china government helps Taiwanese in terms of education, infrastructure, industrialization and many, since they treat Taiwan as the most important part in China after they lost control of mainland, and even make Taipei as temporary capital city. As a person grow up in Taiwan, from the places I have been to, the books I've read, and the education I received, I can see the positive influence by the republic of china everywhere, Taiwan will never be it's like today so I appreciate the Taiwanese culture as I appreciate the republic of China. They're the same.
