Thank you for joining the community . Sure thing we will add another Mokara video to the list . Don't be shy here share your thoughts on any of the videos . We believe this is the best way for us to all learn and grow together , when we hear how each other is doing what they do to make the most of their orchids 💯❤️
Hi Peter, Thanks for the great information again. I have not branched out into Mokaras or Vandas as yet however, I am very interested into doing that. Can you tell me if there are any small varieties of either that you are aware of? Thanks as always, Helen from Sydney Australia 💃😄
Yes, absolutely there are a lot of small and mini Vandas and hybrids available . Ask any of the orchid growers for Ascocentrum's a lot of them don't get too large. The Orchid Patio in Sydney should have a nice selection of the small Vandas for you to have a look at too 😘💕
@@thenaturecompany yes I will certainly do that. The hunt will continue and also my orchid addiction too. I need an intervention. BTW, I love hearing the birds in your videos. They instantly transport me back to Africa when I hear them.
We are really luck to live next to a Nature park the wildlife here is spectacular . I think we all need interventions lol , I don't think it is an addiction we can recover from 🤣
Thank you for this informative video on Mokaras. I have a yellow Mokara that has brown dried discolorations where the leaves are attached to the plant. The leaves eventually break off. I had it growing under a mongo tree attatched to a plant hanger. Any idea what disease it may have?Thank you on advance for your help.
it it is hanging free like this and is under a tree it is probably not getting enough water for the leaves to yellow at the base and fall off . No dew will get to settle on it and light rains wont get to it . water everyday if hanging free in the air like that and probably twice a day on very hot days . 🫰
I did mention how to repot in the video but if you would like a more in depth : ua-cam.com/video/GaEi94ubu_g/v-deo.htmlsi=Yfhy8FwWd7oE-qja this is repotting of Mokara 👍
I love vandas and Mocaras, my absolute favorite orchids by far. Absolutely stunning and flowers last long

How long mokara bloom?
the flower spikes last for 4 to 6 week but they can keep sending up spikes all year round if you are in the right climate
Marry me Mokara
