- Thrice puts on an epic show for the 20th Anniversary of 'The Artist In The Ambulance' at The Fillmore in Philadelphia, PA on May 30th, 2023.
I was limited with my camera angle for this one, so it's mainly a steady on shot of Dustin and the drummer. Enjoy it anyway!

20 years later and The artist in the ambulance set still sounds great
The fact that Dustin can hit the chorus for ‘summer set fire to the rain’ so effortlessly and consistently almost an hour into their set is nothing short of impressive.
Incredible musicians.. I’ve been a fan since the beginning..
Their cover of Eleanor Rigby is honestly one of the best beatles covers of all time. And their original music is usually awesome.
They were a staple form of music in the early 2000's...and they are different now yet still same same.
The Mars Volta and Thrice are honestly the only bands I subjectively liked in this genre.
Edit: my bad...there were a few other solid bands outside of my orbit. The Fall of Troy comes to mind. They had one song that was epic af...I think it was called "FTFP". Something like that. A bunch of letters lol
@@py_a_thondude yeah mars Volta was also great. Those were the days
@@coldsmokepwrstroke To be honest...I always kinda liked Panic at the Disco. I just told my friends I didn't lol.
I LOVE THIS BAND
This is like, the best audio I've heard from a live recording. Cheers!!
Saw this tour in Los Angeles. Whomever Thrice hired for lighting on this specific tour needs a raise and permanent job!!! Incredible!
His name is Lenny Sasso. Also works lights for Smashing Pumpkins, Spiritbox, Vampire Weekend
Man thank you for your patience in recording this. I have done this and know it takes a bit from the show to do this. well done from those of us who haven't been lucky enough to partake in a show. it means a lot. THANK YOU!!!
Omg. Paper Tiger!! 😱
I wish I was there.
I love Thrice so much and their last song was the long defeat! Amazing!
best band ever.
They still got it! Thanks for the upload
Thank you :)
This is awesome!
Singing and playing like that after 20 years. Their sound is bestial.
What a great artist. is THRICE.
Seeing them in Manchester (England) in Feb and this upload has made me so happy. Nothing lost!
@@gg83hx40seeing them in London 😅🤘🏻🎸
Hell yeah Thrice still rockin'! PAPER TIGERS!!!
Solid recording my friend.
Best concert I've been to!! Unexpectedly got thrown into the mosh pit for the first couple songs lol but every moment was nothing short of phenomenal, thanks for the upload! Thrice forever 🤘
Agreed! I was at this show and it was phenomenal . I'm going again October 12 at starland lol
Can't wait !
@@nibiru1123hoping to make it to that show as well!! 🤘🤘
❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 THRICE 🤘
i was here on balcony seating, awesome show thanks for the upload! makes me cry lmao
IF thrice is still going that is too awesome.
The artist in the ambulance 20th aniversary, amazing!!
Muito bom. Obrigado pelo upload
Great recording! Seeing them Thursday. Grew up with this album and they still sound like it just came out. So excited!!!
So oddly appropriate that the opening track is called "Cold Cash and Colder Hearts".
Love the band or hate the band....arcade fire had some fire lyrics that was some thing like "Now that I'm older....my heart has grown colder"...
There is truth in that form tbh. This world desensitizes us in many ways. That struggle to keep one's soul in a world of calamity...is true true.
Bless up?
Awesome, got my Tickets for Melbourne. Pumped.
They sound great! thanks for the upload. Seeing them in NJ next month. Should be a good time
damn i wish you got more Teppei footage. Good quality nevertheless
😄😄
They sound better than ever. Other than Coheed, the greatest living rock band in the world imo.
i'd love to hear dustin the male part of in the shallows (bradley cooper/gaga)
great performance and great recording! surprised they didn't play deadbolt
Thank for taking this. These guys are my biggest influence. My vocals get compared to Dustin all the time
I was here with a nurse I met on Tinder we broke up but it was a nice date nonetheless kinda felt like I was in H.S. again 🖤
Sounds good but they should have beefed up the artist in the ambulance tracks. Not near heavy enough. Vocals are still great.
Timestamps
just use the list of songs from the album as reference, everything is pretty easy to find, as the songs are in the same order
Do people mosh at these shows?
I saw them years back in Houston, this dude was trying to start a mosh pit but all he was actually doing was knocking down a bunch of girls… he got close to me and tried to smash me… I bounced that dude to the floor. It’s cool to mosh, but don’t mistreat the people around you. But yes, sometimes they definitely mosh.
