Very nice video. The 375 Winchester is due to be reintroduced. In states (not mine thank God) where hunters must use a straight wall case this is one of the best. I'd like to see Winchester spend some time working on at least a few new projectiles and loads for this caliber.
@CW definitely would be a good one. Think Marc Thomas doing same thing with bunch of 30-30 I sent him few months ago . He said turn them into 32winchster.
Good Stuff; C-Dub I don't have a .375Win. Between .30-30 and .38-55 I never figured I needed one. I use .32Win Spl for cast lead loads in .30-30. Never shot anything but cast loads in .38-55. Except factory loads to get the brass. More power to You My Friend. 😁👍
Aye brother this is definitely something you might be interested in. You can turn 308 Winchester into 35 Remington. Just need a lee .451 sizing die the old style. And a few NOE expander plugs oh and copious amounts of lanolin lube
@@cw2a yeah know a couple if guys that are into reloading one has trouble getting projectiles even for his 300 win mag go figure and thanks for the reply from way over there👍👍🇭🇲
@@Rab338 Possibly. Done correctly, seldom does it create a problem. But many do over anneal. I don't mean too many times. I mean heating too Much/ too long. But its just my feeling. PPU, since last 5-7 years is good quality stuff.
Another AWESOME video, CW! I've heard if 375 Winchester, but I've never seen one live. Is there an advantage over other calibers that are close, or 38-55? I guess if you're in a straight walk state it gives you another option, but other than that, what's it's claim to fame?
Its quite a bit more powerful then the ol' 38/55. That was a 255g bullet about 1300 fps. The 375 is a 200/220g @ nearly 2200 fps. It runs about 52K in pressures as well. So top in guns its designed for. Winchester even choose to release it in there re enforced frame Big Bore line.
@@cw2a Whoa! 😳 That's a heck of a cartridge. Sounds like a great round for pretty much anything in North America and packed into a lever gun to boot. Nice! Thanks, again, for your great content.
I never thought they was so popular. But they sure are scarce!! I agree the Buck Hammer has my attention too! Im hoping CVA chambers there single shot!! I just read that BFH revolvers will be as soon as they can get reamers & ammo to test!!
I was curious and I might have miss you explaining it. But when I turned the 308 Winchester brass into 35 Remington. I found it to be bit easier to expand the mouth in steps with NOE expanding plugs after annealing. Is it not advisable to anneal when reforming different brass.
Annealing is a very important part of the process. YES! I did not stress it. I anneal when complete when enlarging a case. I anneal BEFORE when reducing. I made a second video doing annealing.
@@cw2a I remember that video I need to watch it again. I was trying to watch it the first time at lunch. But sometimes at lunch you can’t be left alone.

Hiya, C-Dub. That’s an interesting process, for sure. Thanks for showing us. 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸
Glad ya liked it Walter!!
I didnt talk about annealing at all but its a part of all case forming for me.
This was very interesting Thank you for sharing I'm going to be sending you some stuff from Shot Show tomorrow morning.

That was very interesting. I'm impressed at how far that neck would stretch. Makes me a little less nervy about stretching them for 32's.
You can do it! 32 from 30/30 is cake walk.
Never seen a .375 before, good demo as usual.
Thanks Mike!!
Nice job hopefully you get a few loads from them before they split it being thin brass
I hope so too!
I annealed them so they will likely live thru a few! 💪🏼👍🏼🤘🏼
Cw the master caster in the king of the odd ball guns. You here munch of the 375win. Recently you have bc straight wall rolling must state.
Its a good one James??

very cool video CW. It made me cringe every time you opened the neck on the 30-30 brass because it is rather difficult to find here at the moment. lol

Good tips on cleaning the dies. Only time I ever had issues with a die was due to it being filthy

Good job on the brass. Probably about the only way you can get any at the moment. I’ve got some 38-55 loaded up that I need to test. Maybe next week 🤔
Ooh looking forward to it.
Thanks for sharing this information. Good video.

I want to get a 375. Nice

Pretty awesome being able to make something you need out of something you already have.

Hello Buck!!
There are so many calibers out there that I didn't know existed

Thanks for sharing! Is 375 Win brass not available? This seems like a lot of work to turn 30-30 to 375 Win
Hello man!!
Midway actually has some
Nickel Plated for about a buck apiece now. But very spotty availability and expensive when found.
You should check and see if your 38-55 brass will fit in your 375s. Rumor has it that ALL 375 chambers are cut long and would allow a 38-55 to fit.
I will check.

There are "good" cracks?😮😮
@@ErnieHatmaker No from fatigue. Brass gets "work Hardened" like when ya bend a paper clip too many times it breaks.

Hey CW
Hello Mr Pollard!!
Does it help to aneal the neck
YES SIR!! I recommend it for all case forming.
I made a short to go along where I annealed the brass.
My dad just gave me his and it's like 6 dollars a round lmfao😢
Yea, uncommon calibers can get costly! But good reason to re load your own!
@@cw2a if I knew what I was doing maybe 🤔
Buy a Manual and start reading. I recommend Lyman 51st! Many of us loaders here in uTube can help!
