I compare Baldur with Divinity and the only difference I see is related to the storytelling approach. Baldur seems more modern and with a better narrative, cutscenes and so on. But how about the gameplay, is there that many differences!? PS.: Thank you for the upload, always feeling inspired to play!
Yes! I agree - it’s been a very long time since I played Divinity, but it feels like BG3 is an evolution / more modern, but the game rules in Divinity are unique, whilst BG3 are super aligned with D&D 5E… and from memory, there’s less variables in how you interact with people and the world. The thing I remember the most in Divinity is the amazing environmental and elemental effects in battle, and they seem to have carried that over really well in BG3 too.
