I love the light stand lol Its really weird that I was just thinking of light stands the other day and then u come out with a video on it lol love it dude ❤
Only problem with PVC pipe is depending on how heavy your light fixture is and even putting dowels inside of the upright pipes pvc will sag and lower your light closer to the top of the tank.
Next time if your counter sink the two visible screws facing the front further into the wood you can then put a dowel into the hole and cut it off flush. That way after you sand it, it blends in and looks much better than having those screws showing.
Ryo, I’m so impressed by your DIY projects. Everything always looks so neat, sleek, and well-designed. Definitely makes me want to try it for myself. With the cost of everything right now it’s hard, but I will save up. Great video, take care and God bless.
Looks OMG man.. My style light... love the idea. I was searching for it and got what I wanted right here.. I'll be adding the stand to stay with the tank stand though... Cheers do more Aquascapes.
i used to use that bathroom hanger for plant as well , its call riparium style , lower the water then line them up with plants , maybe a diy tank length black acrylic container to hook to the back
Good Job! Just a suggestion, perhaps paint the pothos holders black? I use Plasti Dip as it is aquarium safe. Again just a suggestion, you do whatever makes you happy! 🙂
Plasti dip is too expensive here. I can only buy it online and it’s like $20-$30 a can. Gonna just let algae grow on it. And once the roots grow more, you won’t even notice the holder
May I please have a link to that plastic looking light tray you had on your first aquariums? because see I have an 50 G acrylic aquarium. And the edges make it difficult for anything to be mounted on. I've got the Aquarium co op light 36inch so I would need something long enough to sit upon it. I would love to see what all suggestions you have. My stand is an amazon stand one that has plant hooks above it. But any ideas I would love to hear from you and any links I would be so grateful to you. I also subscribed so I could see other videos you have.
I'd install a secondary fastening that connects the light to the timber framing, in case the eyelet screws fail and drop out of the timber frame. Something as simple as zip ties that connect the looped cable for the light to the timber frame would do. Basically a fail safe device to prevent the light from dropping into the aquarium in case the eyelet screws fail. Nice project though.
that light stand looks hella siiiiick! Kinda wanna do a project like that before winter kicks in. Minus the drilling into the wall part tho, im gonna be kicked out of the house if i did that lmao
Another awesome build Ryo! :) btw how is your DIY tank shelves doing? planning to build one myself once I get my room done. :) cheers! from Philippines! :)
@@RyoWatanabee I can’t find it anywhere if you have a link that would be great not on the link you posted to the light. I actually just bought the 90cm for my 3ft but would prefer to hang it similar to you.
To keep boards from spinning like that, use 2 or more screws so that the board can't spin around an axis. (or just buy brackets like you already did, they're stronger anyways.) I'm here trying to work out how I want to mount my lights without drilling any holes in the apartment. I'm not happy with the to-tank mounting arm, makes me think it's going to pop the glass at some point.
You would be better off just buying a circular table saw. Perfect straight 90 degree cuts and you can tendon the joints. I would also put a few coats of polyurethane on the wood in that high moisture environment. I wish my BF was as handy as you.
What do you think of the light stand? You can also use pvc pipes to make something similar but I prefer the wood look :)

Thank you :) I like things to look aesthetically pleasing. It helps me stay motivated
I just saw the 2021 IAPLC results. CONGRATS ON YOUR BIG WIN!
Thank you 🙏
I look forward to Friday mornings so that I can see what you’ve been up to. Great video!
Brilliant! Makes no sense spending money on expensive risers when you can custom make something exactly how you want! Great job!
Hola Buena Noche.
Actualmente funciona bien la lampara?
La Recomiendas para plantado exigente?😅
It's a good friday when Ryo Uploads

That's bc he's from Asia 😂
Cable management. You gotta have the wire on the backside of the wood. Maybe drill a hole to fit it through and run it.
Awesome job Ryo! Keep it up. It looks really nice. Good job!
Great idea and follow thru! That looks professionally made- you're the pro!!
Haha thanks! Not perfect but I’m happy with the outcome :)

Good job Ryo!
Looks dope man.

Excellent content as always.
U da man. Keep it coming
Great job Ryo it looks good 👍🏻 looks like a bit of MD inspiration minus the flood lights of course

Can you make a tutorial on the DIY Co2?
Looks great. I like the brackets. They look like jewelry. You could save the money though with a simple bottle of wood glue.
Yeah! I thought about that today actually! If only I had thought about using wood glue which I actually have 🤣
When can we get a DIY co2 video??😀😀
Where can i buy the hanging kit .. please help …. I also live in japan
May I know what paint or stain you used? That looks very similar to the colour of the wood for my stand and would be perfect!
I don’t remember exactly as I threw the bottle away but it’s a cheap walnut color I got at my local home center
@@RyoWatanabee thank you! I think walnut is what was used on the stand I have, yay! This turned out beautiful and thanks for the video 😊

yo Ryo nice vids
I didn’t know you could get a hanging kit for the A series 2. Can you confirm it is the hanging kit for that specific light or is it another brand?
Chihiros newly released this hanging kit. It’s awesome!

Me too, I don’t like mounting on the glass as it risks cracking it. Heard of it happen before
Where you buy the cable?
Bravo ragazzo
What is the name of the red fish with a black spot on its body with the angel fishes in this tank?
Ryo, just add crypts on pots. Will do well.

Once ryo hit 100k sub can ryo do a his parents gave review?

Strong lights, co2, and lean fertilising
Класс 👍🏻 привет с Украины 🇺🇦🤝🤝🤝
Maybe pocket holes for the next one😃
Maybe. I don’t have the thing to make pocket holes though..
It would have been easier to use a shelf and put some house plants on it.
I NEED ONE
What is the size of that tank?
90x45x45cm
I found the name of the red spot fish. Red phantom tetra.
This guy is really a 40 year old man
Now diy CO2 🤝
