My only regret is that I never go to see the JM live under the direction of Art Blakely. An incredible training ground for Wynton Marsalis, Horace Silver, etc. Thank God they left us valuable recordings that are audio and visual. What a blessing for us all whom love and appreciate this thing called jazz.

Incredible this title called "Tour de Force" from the second concert that night !!! And this time there is a short intro (which wasnot on the TV broadcast I have from Dutch TV on VHS), where you can see, that Blakey was not that nice guy we wanted to see. Thanks a lot, still looking for more of this execellent night in Rotterdam in 1971 - I LOVE your site !!!!

Great performance but this is not "Out of Nowhere", this is a Dizzy tune called "Tour de Force".
