This song is a MASTERPIECE. the video is from a movie, the actress is Monica Vitti (an icon of Italian cinema). The music was composed by the great late Ennio Morricone. The lyrics written by the late Maurizio Costanzo (an Italian journalist, host and an incredible soul, one of the pillars of Italian tv). ❤
'sup man ! Hey, Mina ! wow what an incredible singer and charachter. She was the pillar of Italian music industry. Everytime I listen to this oarticular song my eyes get watery, SPLENDID lyrics and music. Words by Maurizio COstanzo and music by the one and only Ennio Morricone. And Monica Vitti, man I miss that splendid Actress, amazing.
When Italy still delivered world class art: scenes are from movies by legendary director Michelangelo Antonioni, most famous worldwide for his american movies "Blow Up" and "Zabriskie Point" (both featuring great soundtracks, including Pink Floyd among others). Music is by Ennio Morricone, need to say more? Voice is by Mina, whom in my book is only surpassed by your crush Antonella Ruggiero and is her artistic predecessor in some ways. Actors are Italy's best Monica Vitti and french legend Alain Delon, although the video is not related to the song in any way. Too bad no art exists anymore in Italy and hardly elsewhere (in the "west" at least)
Yes an Italian Mythus long all my life ! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 the clip is performed by two great moovie artist: Monica Vitti (Italy) and the beauty and famous Alain Delon (France).
a another song to react from Mina "Mi sei scoppiato dentro al cuore", "You burst into my heart" beautiful love song. cover by Maneskin in homage to Mina for Vogue Italia.
Ciao. Excuse my english. This song has been composed by Ennio Morricone ( yes, the great Ennio Morricone) I have read that this song is very hard to singing, and few singers have risked to perform
The beautiful thing about this song is the chord progression in the chorus that creates a swing of emotions just like a love story that fills your heart with joy but also with melancholy knowing that it will have to end soon.
The Love of One Night...but always love. All is finished, and the is a pity. But it is very hard to accept and to tell to the other. "If I could phone You and tell You goodbye ,I will do It.."

Thank you for the video; please go on with Mina but choose live performances like "Balada para mi muerte" with the great Astor Piazzolla or the live in studio "Pasqualino Marajà"
Bro ascolta Mango "Bella d'estate" voce UNICA ed inimitabile. Ti farà impazzire 🤯 P. S. Purtroppo è morto qualche anno fa durante una diretta in un suo concerto 😢😢😢
Françoise Hardy did a song in French (and in English) with the same tune and the same style (and the same year!), but totally different lyrics (not a translation of the Italian lyrics). Her French version ("Je changerais d'avis") is definitely worth a listen but her English version ("I Will Change My Life") is not quite so good. (The French version was also covered by The Divine Comedy, which you may be more familiar with.)
The video is confusing.... when this song was out in 1966 music videos didn't exists ( meaning mtv videos etc you could obviously film) these images as already mentioned in previous comments are from a Michelangelo Antonioni movie dated 1962 titled "L'eclipse" starring Italian iconic actress Monica Vitti and iconic french actor Alain Delon so basically the images have no connection to the song whatsoever either than showing two people obviously in a relationship as a couple... not sure why this specific video creator has matched this song with this movie... maybe for the cultural value for us Italians.. in fact this song and its creators Ennio Morticone and Maurizio Costanzo, its interpreter, Mina, the movie director Michelanngelo Antonioni and actress Monica Vitti, all have been "genius" of their art and made us proud in the world, becoming symbols of the good Italy, all of them are part of our history like this pop song is.
The images are taken from a 60s film and are not entirely relevant to the lyrics of the song. In this video you can also see the English translation ua-cam.com/video/TA1x0mzJBV8/v-deo.html
I like very much your reaction, but please, when you listen to Italian music, understanding the lyrics is fundamental to catch the real meaning of the song, especially for 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's (not always) decades. You already saw that Italian text of those years' songs were very deep, and it's true, and, oddly, some songs sound in the music totally different from its lyrics meaning, as in this case: you find it pretty and serene, but it is tormented and really sad; it talks about a love and relationship which grew up too fast and just as quickly it ended, and she wasn't able to say him why it happened deep into her, so she simply disappeared. A gentle and genuine explanation of what can happen when someone does ghosting. That's why you found the video contradictory, it represents cinematically that. As Italian, I appreciate a lot what you are doing, a lot of Americans don't even know of Italian hidden music gems. Go on and thank you.
La canzone non ha nulla a che vedere con il film: visto che all'epoca non facevano video musicali, è stato fatto questo strano mix The song has nothing to do with the film: since they didn't make music videos at the time, this strange mix was made
I don’t understand… everybody here knows that MAD Ang loves rock and hard rock, Why you want him to listen Mina and others artist that are distant Miles from his favorite music?
Poor guy was sent the worst italian crap 🤣 just because he reacted to an italian quality song by Matia Bazar and liked it. This one is a great song tho

The power of her voice is difficult to find in today's Italian female singers. Grande Mina

No confusion: the song talks about a passionate and burning love that is over. She left him, doesn't want to see him again and explains why.

Hi. They looks sad at the end because she was already married. In Italy at that time there wasn't divorce.
