- I made it to the finish line under my own power today! My PCX is back in the game without any issues. My top speeds are limited to 62-63 by the rev-limiter, but I'd rather have that than walking speeds! 🤣👍

Man, there was a LOTTA TE-KILL-YA in that 'rita! The alcohol definitely helped me sleep through the bloodfest feeding frenzy that I endured in my tent. Those mosquitoes were absolutely brutal out there! 😲 --QM
I am going to have to watch this on my 12 hour day today. I have skimmed thru and seen moto camping at the end. Hell yeah.

How many time do you poor gas on your Motor bike
My average fuel range during the cannonball on a full load of fuel was ~420 miles (675 km) . The scooter's fuel tank holds 2.1 US gallons (8 liters), and my fuel can holds an additional 2.5 gallons (9.5 liters) for a total of 4.6 gallons (17.5L). My scooter's average fuel consumption throughout the event was 93 MPG US (2.53L/100km, 39.54 km/L). Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
Can a Grom do this?
Yes! The Grom, Monkey, and Trail 125 all received exceptions to participate even though they aren't classified as scooters. The same exceptions will carry over into the 2025 Scooter Cannonball event, and the displacment limit for scooters has been raised to 300cc so the Yamaha XMAX 300 and others in that class can qualify for points. What scooters were the most reliable this cannonball?
I haven't seen all of the statistics, but I can almost certainly say that Honda was the most reliable brand. The ADV150's ran with nearly perfect track records... only one CVT belt failure that I know about. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
Don you use a magnetic oil plug bolt?
Yes, most of my motorcycles and scooters have Gold Plug MP-01 drain bolts in them: amzn.to/3wUITnw . The magnets definitely help to keep the abrasive ferrous sludge out of the oil, so that should help prolong the engine life. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

I have a 2021 BV350 Piaggio that would be the much better scooter for a trip like this........
Larger scooters are obviously more comfortable and capable. However, the Scooter Cannonball is an endurance event with a 279cc maximum displacement limit. Riders on larger motorcycles and scooters can tag along as toursists (or support), but they aren't officially in the event and they don't qualify for points in the event.
I have a 2004 Honda SilverWing 600 that would be great fun on this trip, but I certainly wouldn't want to ride that 550-lb pig on some of the gravel roads that we encounter! 😉👍 --QM
Does anyone darkside?
That's a good question! Several riders ran darkside on the 2021 event. This year, I heard rumors that one of the Honda Helix riders was darksided, and maybe one of the Forza 300's was as well. 😉👍 --QM
