It's a real talent to be honest about a product but yet not bash them. Keep it up. I use Daytona speed brushes.
Hey Scott,I love watching your videos, the knowledge that you have is great, you give honest and positive answers,I believe that you really know what your doing, you been doing this for many many years, your like a teacher, you show us the right way to clean a car or truck and I thank you for the knowledge that you have given me,so now that I can properly clean my car or anybody else’s car or truck
Scott thanks for sharing. I love your videos And what you do for helping us who are interested in the auto detailing industry.
Great honest comments. Great to find a channel that tells it the way it is.
I´ve personally measured fibers of Daytona and EZ under microscope and they are approximately the same thickness. Also the stiffness is the same. In case of loose cap please use electrical shrink tapes, it´s quick and easy. Both wheel brushes seems to be produced on one place, no big differents between them.
Wheel Brightener, living up to it's name! thanks for the video
I like to use my APC with my Wolfgang onr just for more protection against scratches
I have the Large EZ wheel brush. I use it on my BBS wheels. So far so good. You're right. Depending on what wheel it is it.
I have been watching some of your youtube videos , very helpful to me . Can you give me some advice cleaning my 2018 camry se wheels . I live in the midwest , should i seal it or wax it . If I use the mguire wheel brightner will this ruin the black paint or aluminum part , will this strip the sealer or wax ? Thank you so much for your help
Sigh, notoriously soft Japanese clear coat strikes again...
Scratching wouldn't be such a huge issue if better clearcoats such as 2k urethane was used instead of softer and cheaper acrylic.
Well, look at the bright side Scott, at least it's a great opportunity to sell paint corrections and ceramic coatings to customers pulling their hair over the dreaded swirls. 😉
Scott will super clean work for the rims and getting brake dust inside the spokes diluted 4 oz water to 1 oz superclean?
Scott what's the best dilution ratio for Megs Wheel Brightner for chrome or OEM factory alloy wheels??...
Hello scott
My car is BMW that has combined polished aluminum and clear coated rims !!! It's safe to use meguairs wheel brightener on them and what's the best dilution ratio?
That wheel is blinging!
when i purchased the car it came with high gloss black rims...i asked them to change it to the chrome..i think it was a good pick and yes they can really bling:)
Is there a difference between those brushes and the daytona speedmaster? Both from EZ detail
Hi Scott i have painted factoty oem alloy wheels which cleaner and brushes are best to clean them?..
Or you could put a ceramic wheel coating (Gyeon Rim, CarPro DLUX, Kamikaze Stance,Gtechniq C5 or million others) and just wash your wheels with soft wash mitt and normal car soap. Easier, cheaper and will protect the wheels for more than a year.
I have used ez detail brushes for more than two yrs, no issues.
i would agree with you..its a great brush but as i mentioned in this video you may come across a wheel where the clear coated wheel can scratch with just about any brush..95% of the time its not an issue but to be completely honest i have seen ez detail brushes scratch some wheels...i have noticed on this lexus i will see what i call hairline scratches all over the wheel so to limit that issue i use the meguiars wheel brightener which is highly effective of removing brake dust on contact and i find i have to use the ez detail brush less in this situation ....yes don't give up your ez detail brush, its my go to brush about 95% of the time:)..thanks for your comment and support
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing I agree, I don't use any brush on the wheel's face. It's seems like the wheel barrel paint is more scratch and chemical resistant than the face of the wheel, and the lips are sensitive to chemicals, I have seen aftermarket wheel's deep lips ruined cause alkaline or acidic cleaners.
regiotexas Just use a soft paint brush ;)
regiotexas True, the barrel seems more resistant, I don't know why
After cleaning your wheels are you putting on any protection on each time?
you can if you like, I use meguiars ultimate fast finish because it takes seconds to apply a high quality paint sealant these days..no more wax on and long buff off
Hey Scott, your insights are awesome. Quick question; do you really need to use that much Wheel Brightener? I'm considering buying a gallon of it and just want to make sure I'm using it to get the most economical effect out of it. Thanks.
hey Kyle, well i buy it by the gallon and mix it 5:1 so that gives me 6 gallons of product so perhaps I'm a little over aggressive with the product because its so cheap in my world..but to answer your question, no you don't have to spray a lot and the product should go a long way...hope that helps with your question...thanks for the kind words and support
nice little lexus buddy clean tfs
So, in short, yes, they do scratch, and you get around that by simply not using it. Is this the gist of it?
"Hi Scott " I have a question which is the best way to clean chrome wheels and avoid Scratching them can I use a wheel woolie and avoid scratching them?...
You said and avoid scratching them twice 😂

Do they scratch forged wheels
good video buddy i got a video coming up you might laugh when you see it ha ha ha tfs buddy good video
That wheel cleaner works out very expensive! 1 litre over all 4 wheels
Yes they scratch. The tip protector can pop off and you will put zig zag on the rim if you dont notice the tip protector came off. Lame
I have more problem with the plastic cap coming of the end of the brush and potentially scratching than the bristles.
yeah..i have heard people say the same about the cap..a little jb weld under that cap could help:)...this wheel in the video is so easy to scratch and i find the same with some clients vehicles as well so the bristles leave little hairline scratches all over the wheel from the ez detail brush...thats life and we have to come up with a solution
@@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343 I remove the car and use self agglomerating tape on it :)
@@dallaspaintcorrectionautod8343 Man! I just ordered one of these and all the negative reviews about the cap...I had already planned to epoxy mine (Devcon 2ton waterproof epoxy). Great minds I guess!
“Here is really tight, I can barely get my finger in that hole” woahhhh keep it pg man
Hallo folks ,this is so annoying
