Appalling the way you have been treated by the media and police, all the power to you, Corey, for rising above it. And all this for the crime of having a party as a 16 year old, crazy times we live in.

I think most people's problems with Mr Worthington stem from him being a violent asshole. And not the party all those years ago. It is more likely the narrowly avoiding jail for bashing a disabled man in Geelong. If I had to guess that is.

People that are saying he deserved all the bullshit from the police and media over the years are bootlickers. Yeah he screwed up posting it on myspace (the party address) but as he said he was 16 years old, at 16 I was a complete idiot who didn't think of consequences either but that doesn't mean the state should harass him like that. I stopped watching the news when I was 14, when I started to recognise it was never positive always negative and even at that age I felt like it was designed to keep people scared. I’ve never trusted it since, and I never ever trust one source. I source my own news from many outlets and never trust that one is always right. This was a great opportunity to hear the other half we never got to hear.

Two things can be true, the news totally sensationalizes cases including this one but I sense a lot of bullshit from this guy. I work with federal offenders reintegrating into the community and the amount of delusion and lack of accountability that comes from some people who have been incarcerated is crazy. Wait a second. So this guy didn't do anything wrong and the cops start approaching him. Instead of just peacefully clearing up the misunderstanding, he runs and jumps off a high surface and damages his legs so badly that they need 7 surgeries? What a smart move. Only second to the story about how he chased down a disabled man on a mobility scooter, dragged him off and punched him in the head and hit him with a screw driver. It's like seeing what a Mount Druitt 12 year old feral would be like as an adult, except they never grew up or got an education that allowed them to improve their socio economic status.

It wasn't just a party organized by a 16 year old. It was an open invite party posted on myspace which attracted hundreds of people and caused tens of thousands in damages, plus he had an arrogant attitude about the whole thing, so I think his juvenile detention was justified, the later harrassment isn't fair to him, but what do you expect from corrupt cops and court system?

That is just the same as saying/thinking that it's reasonable to also take what you think is the norm today and then apply that to other decades like the 50s or 60s or 1970s and so on.

I was the same age as Corey when all this shit popped off, if i ever met him i'd shake his hand for the amount of wild backyard parties i went too after his thing, it was like my whole area got motivation to shut a street down with a backyard party fucking insane.
