yeah it is basically for new drivers... the speed control only lets you go as fast as 1/2 throttle would let you go... So basically if you pull the trigger all the way on your remote, the car will only go 1/2 of the max speed. You can switch this on and off any time Hope that helps
It's up to you--the Rustler has a top speed of about 72 mph but its expensive to get it running that fast... but it's a great truck so it's really up to you. If you have any more questions about it feel free to ask..
exactley, and the chargers are very expensive as well. You can still get good speed out of Ni-mh packs though, I now use a 7 cell pack and it goes almost 50 mph.
ya I'm running on a 6 cell nimh for now, and I had been running it for a while before this video, so the battery didn't have full power. Also, it was on training mode, which limits you to 1/2 throttle. Now I'm getting 35+ mph out of it. You can see that with #3, 4, 5, etc.
I read the entire manual, and it doesn't say anything about sand. I think you're just supposed to run it on a lower gear ratio and to make sure you take care of the car more, etc etc etc. It might be different for the Rustler VXL and the Stampede XL5 too. I've run it in the sand a lot, and no problems yet
sand is actually no good for your bearings and motor , you can run it in sand all you want , but dont expect your bearings to last forever unless you clean em regularly
what the web? im looking to buy the rustler xl-5 but all otha stores are hih prices but i founnd 1 for 165 but i was jw if u sold it and if u did if it was any cheaper. nice vid i realy enjoyed it :)
I clean them very regularly, motor sprayed every day and the car is running exceptionally still, just keeping everything clean is the trick

Read the manual. It explains it better than I can. There's even a downloadable copy on the Traxxas website.
