Indonesian buses, trains have world class seats that pretty ensures that the passengers should get utmost comfort while travelling. We indians do have very good buses, trains but still we are not being offered these kind of seats in trains/buses. Recently, a bus travels in india has introduced seats in it which was being imported from indonesia and that's a good thing. Hope, many buses will follow this as well.

That's why bullet train work got completed on time in Indonesia, while the superfast trains are running on diesel engine. Indian govt problem is too many work on one time from bullet train to DFC to modernisation of stations, building new rail tracks in border areas and new connectivity routes in other areas with overhead bridges at railway crossings and electronic IOT rail- crossing operation. Let's hope we make it all bcoz hectic task of upgrading the old route tracks will still remain. 😢🫠

The Gen 1 luxury trains were even better I feel. I had the opportunity to ride that last year and it was a full flat bed. Don't know why they changed it. That also had far more privacy and looked like an airline business class

Btw, this is no longer the best class as KAI just released compartment suite train, if I'm not mistaken currently only serve Jakarta Surabaya. Oh and there's executive panoramic class, the seat is the very similar to regular executive but bigger windows and free meal.
Yep, it's called Suites Class Compartment, the most expensive at the moment and it's 1 person 1 cabin. I saw it on Andriawan Pratikto channel. Mewah banget👌

3:06 FYI Bandung station has 2 buildings, the southern building that you are coming from is specifically for local trains but long distance trains can also be used but for better facilities, they are in the northern building.The North Building is dedicated to long-distance trains
5:20 Platforms 7-8 are specifically for feeder trains, which are trains that take prospective KCIC fast train passengers to Padalarang station.

"Argo" means "mountain" in Javanese. The word is used for prime trains. At first, KAI used mountain names for prime trains such as Argo Bromo, Argo Lawu, Argo Muria, etc. to signify their high-level of service (faster speed & better hospitality). But now the "argo" name has diluted a bit since argo trains has no significant difference with other trains.
Parahyangan means "Gods' place" in Sundanese. It refers to the mountainous area of southern West Java province which Sundanese people believe is the place where the gods live.

That's the south entrance, usually reserved for a local train. You should go through the north entrance of bandung station, it's bigger and better than the south entrance.

I think this type of class is categorized as Luxury Class not first class anymore. This type of luxury class is the 1'st generation launched and start operating in 2018, and then in 2019 launched 2'nd gen model, a better one with format 1-1 with more privacy partition. The latest one in April 2024 was launched Suite Compartment Class, and maybe this became the 1'st class now. Apart from that, the Panoramic class and Premium class 3'rd gen were also launched which are categorized in the Luxury Class category. Panoramic class with wider seat than Executive Class and big windows, Premium class use full electronic seat and more wider than Panoramic Class. All types of new gen train cars use electronic doors and modern new toilets, even the Suite Compartment class have fiture 180° reclining, massage seat, and electronic closets. Maybe later if you come back to travel to Indonesia again, you can try it.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION :
1. Luxury train is NOT the highest class in Indonesian train. Previously, it was the IMPERIAL CLASS with reclining seat and individual cubicle for each passenger (similar to Business Class in flights). However, the newest highest class is COMPARTMENT SUITE launched several weeks ago. The ticket price is 3X - 4X of Luxury Class. The Suite provides individual compartment with reclining seat for each passenger.
2. GAMBIR Station will stop serving Executive train sometime in 2025 after MANGGARAI SENTRAL station is completed. Manggarai Sentral will have 18 platforms to serve Airport train, Commuter Line, and Intercity / long distance trains. LRT Jakarta station will be built and connected from outside of the station in 2026. If you have time, please visit Manggarai Sentral by riding the Commuter Line (KRL) and see the construction is still going on.
Mangarrai I visited. But didn’t see the Intercity train lines. I just changed one LRT at Mangarrai and the station was good and big enough

@@TravelwithSoumit24 The intercity lines will be moved from Gambir Station to Manggarai Station after its completion in 2025. At the moment the station is undergoing Phase 2 construction. LRT Jakarta connecting the station will be built next year.
So, in the future when you visit Indonesia again Gambir Station will be reduced to mere Commuter Line station. The Jakarta - Bandung HSR is having promotion fare for only 10 US dollars. Too bad you are leaving Jakarta and can't make a short review.

If I may say as representative of our Kampung, we all here welcome y'all who wants to visit our Kampung in the suburbs in Surabaya, you can go Kampung Sumberejo Makmur Gang 9, Kelurahan Sumberejo, Kecamatan Pakal, Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.
We have 'Green House' and integrated farming which are Fisheries and Livestock.
We want to have a friendly environment that can be a wonderful place to live in and for our kiddos to grow up with the nature around us.
Eventhough we live at suburbs but we still want to live less pollution which is cooperating with the local government and communities. We are still on progress on what we dream of. Especially if some foreigners come to visit us here.

Argo is like an upper class from ordinary Executive train. It usually travels faster and has shorter travel time than the ordinary Executive train. If an Argo train meets other train in a single line, the other train will give priority to the Argo train to pass first. Argo train sometimes usually named with a mountain name: Argo Wilis (Mt. Wilis), Argo Bromo Anggrek (Mt. Bromo), Argo Semeru (Mt. Semeru)
