took me 8 months and 400 aplications and finally working in a job and position that i wanted in the fashion industry those 8 months were brutal honestly
I don't usually comment, but it's crazy. I left my job at almost the same time you did, and I also just got an offer! I'm so happy for you Julia congrats! You gave me so much strength throughout the previous three months
It took me 1 month to be offered a job, but wont start until August. I left my company as I was burned out and very unhappy. Tech, Biotech, Retail, its a brutal world right now. Just always remember your worth people of the YT world. As I always tell my wife, life is chaos and you cannot control it, but it always (almost) works out in the end. My biggest take away from my life experience this past year with burnout and then unemployment: Proactive is the answer to every problem; small or large. When you feel like the world is falling apart, you need to be proactive and do something about it, the universe or deity you worship will not change your outcome if you are unable to be proactive in your life. Life is a journey and I hope you all enjoy the ups and accept the downs as a way to improve your life.
Can’t agree enough! I spent many years just being reactive to the hardships life throws at me and things always worked out eventually. At some point it hit me that I don’t have to wait for life to push me a certain way. I could be proactive and actively seek what I want from life. Since then I feel way more empowered navigating through life 😊
@@somethinggood-sy1ed it isn't, but any time your not bringing in anything is not a good time. One thing I can say, stop using only the main brand sites like Linkedin and Indeed. I put my resume up on a job board called Dice. This is just like Monster. I had so many recruiters coming to me from Dice and that is how I got my job.
congrats! tech recruiting is SO brutal (like i really hope a 9 week interview process isn't becoming the norm) it's so refreshing to see someone as talented and hardworking as you also going through the same struggles as i am right now, so thank you for being vulnerable and honest on camera about the perpetual anxiety. i'm also currently sitting in anxiety and going insane but seeing experiences like this gives me hope :'))

Oh, dear! The whole process was so time and energy consuming/draining that I have utmost respect for you for being strong and just powering through! I work in tech (cloud tech) and the process is just screening, tech interview, hiring manager interview, offer and it's done :) I am a non tech in tech so mine was 2 x 30 mins with head of global resourcing and delivery leader and that was it. Second one with the delivery lead was like 10 mins, he just asked if I had any question😂 so in a wah I was super lucky with the process. Congrats🎉❤

YT just recommended me this video and I'm gonna binge the whole series XD Hi from Poland btw! I'm currently looking for a job after getting my Bachelor's degree in English. The thing about Polish system though is that in this field, you study in a 3+2 system. So after getting the Bachelor's degree after 3 years, you can technically stop and not work for the Master's. I'm planning to continue, but because I've defended my thesis I don't have the student status, which basically saves the employers money. At the same time, everyone's scared I'm gonna leave after 3 months, even though I'm more than willing to work while studying for the next two years. Sure, that would require my to adjust my schedule, but that would be no problem. I swear, I've sent dozens of applications, had a few interviews - nothing. And then I see all those headlines about gen z not wanting to work. I dare you to give me a job XDD I hope I'll manage to find something. Wishing you everything that's best as well!

YT just recommended me this video and I'm gonna binge the whole series XD Hi from Poland btw! I'm currently looking for a job after getting my Bachelor's degree in English. The thing about Polish system though is that in this field, you study in a 3+2 system. So after getting the Bachelor's degree after 3 years, you can technically stop and not work for the Master's. I'm planning to continue, but because I've defended my thesis I don't have the student status, which basically saves the employers money. At the same time, everyone's scared I'm gonna leave after 3 months, even though I'm more than willing to work while studying for the next two years. Sure, that would require my to adjust my schedule, but that would be no problem. I swear, I've sent dozens of applications, had a few interviews - nothing. And then I see all those headlines about gen z not wanting to work. I dare you to give me a job XDD I hope I'll manage to find something. Wishing you everything that's best as well!
