Nice work. Your Carrie Fisher is spot and amazing look alike. The Shawshank scene was a little played, but the spoon into the drywall really saved it. On the whole the thing achieves. Legend of Neil quality.
This really is genius beyond words, and yet another reason I am eternally grateful for the internet. I wish this was a full length film. It goes without saying that this trailer alone is better than any or all of the prequels it parodies.
Disney reference, but more eerie than that...There is a lens flare behind Spock at 3:08 and Abrams was not announced as the director until 2012. Mind blown.
I was reminded of this video while watching HelloGreedo's review of Return of the Jedi. I will not -- I can not -- ever watch the blu-rays of the original trilogy. George Lucas DESTROYED these movies with too many mindlessly stupid changes, especially Vader screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" and Haiden Christiansen at the end.
I want to see something like this with Shigeru Miyamoto recruiting Link, Donkey Kong and the guy from the Golf cover going to take down modern day Nintendo. "When I heard about Amiibos, only one thought kept me going...find the man who made the Wii U and destroy him." No body would be ready.
This video doesn't get old. One of the greats. I think the guys behind this will be appearing on our radar big time very soon - if they don't there's no justice in the world.
MAKE IT i love how you styled it like Oldboy (and how Lucas gets pummeled in the hallway fight). If you haven't seen it, watch it. You will appreciate this 'trailer' even more :)
Unfortunately, Lucas was always a poor storyteller. The prequels don't represent his downfall, but simply what happens when you give him free rein over the franchise. Just look at some of his early drafts for the first Star Wars. They are utterly batshit insane. He wasn't as strong then as he was when he made the prequels and had to make all sorts of concessions in order to secure financial backing.
@1:17: Haha cool reference to _THX 1138_ [1971]! Because not even George Lucas was a first-time director when he invented _Star Wars_ [1977]! Those that would've followed THX, I meant George Lucas through his escape to the surface would've not only blown their budgets, but also would've been fried in the sun.
Andy Liv No, really, it's not. And you need to stop hating. First, it opens with a BANG. No boring crap. Once you get past the cringe inducing lines in the first half hour or so, it's actually very well paced and well acted. It has ACTION, it has DRAMA, it has KICKASS music. And most of all, it ADDS on the originals, unlike the previous two. I will defend it as a good movie until the day I die.
There was more good in this film than that one shot! In the 2nd half it really got going. As for acting, Ewan McGregor I liked, Ian McDiarmid was fun, Samuel L Jackson and Christopher Lee (who had way too little screen time) are always badass. Not every character was bad. I did watch the cartoon Clone Wars, which was VERY good! Even better than the new films. It explains General Grievous well, even if it doesn't matter for the film.
You need two viedeos extra, one for: "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to........an arsekicking!" and for the " It´s ok George even good directors make bombs!" "But mine go booom!" The first is the coolest Yoda-quote ever and the second simply awesome!
For those asking about the asian guy: he's from Indiana Jones. He's a 11 years-old chinese boy (ok, in the video he's not 11 anymore) who helps Indy in The Temple of Doom and he's also used for comic relief. He's a great guy, actually.
Actually, I'm pretty sure they're referencing Star Tours, an actual Disneyland ride that has been there since 1987 (and was recently revamped). And taking a guess from the plot the trailer lays out the scene takes place sometime around that year.
Some scenes remember me of the movie Old School, like the sideway hall shot and one guy kicking many, the escaping of the prison, the fight on the rooftop.
"I'm going to Disney land!" Well he sure did.
+Linzor Skywalker That was the fake Lucas.
More accurately , Disney went to him.
@@goto7320 I think he was there for the premier of Captain E.O?
why is this not a movie?
What is scary is how much sense this makes.
the prequels ae better than the originals bro bro.
@@leatherpants9950 _Star Wars_ fans say ridiculous things sometimes and mean it, so I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or sincerity.
This would be the best movie ever!
Darth Jar Jar That is, as long as George Lucas himself doesn't write it or direct it.
I wish this was all true.
It probably is.
The George Lucas impression’s hilarious
"I'm going to Disneyland."
Mike Godzina Mesa Your twendy fif thooms upa
We were warned...
This remains the best explanation for the prequels I've seen.
Omg. I suddenly remembered this video and had to look it up. Too damn funny. I would watch the shit out of this.
“Im a businessman on my CELLPHONE!”
Cellphone?
Mr plinkett approves
Plinkett sends his regards
TheLastWampa Whaatts WRONG with your FACCCCEEEEEEE!???
Plinkett is garbage
Michael Douglas sure does do a good George Lucas
This explains everything
This was actually amazing and still is 9 years later!
What happened to this channel, only 5k subs??
We need a sequel to this, STAT!
Honestly I'd be happier with a prequel.
What about a special edition?

I was satisfied.
This is epic. Jar Jar Binks had a Joker vibe, and lol at Darth Maul doing coke and snowboarding like a boss
When can I see it???
The most amazing thing, ever, on UA-cam. Please get a Kickstarter to make this film a REALITY.
Head cannon accepted
WOW! WOW! WOW! THIS IS GENIUS! (They should have put William Shatner as the evil mastermind) LOVED THE 'OLDBOY' REFERENCE!
OH! SO THAT'S WHAT REALLY HAPPENED NOW I GET IT.

Until he said "Welcome to the Temple of Doom, __!" I was thinking of Goonies, but I guess Spielberg did that one.
Got to love the sight gag of Spielberg in front of the Universal Studios logo holding a plush E.T. doll.

Great video. Congratulations on half a million views in just a few days. I could only dream of something like that.
Sadly better than any of the actual Star Wars prequels.
Loved the Oldboy references.
These guys should make a kickstarter and maybe make this thing happen.
Ironically that happened to James Cameron too.
Also Ridley Scott.
I like the prequels a lot, but this was just freaking awesome.

lost it when the guy said "im a business man on MY CELL PHOONE!" XD
The first two prequels weren't so hot, but the third one was great!!
YES. Revenge of the Sith is AWESOME and you KNOW it!!

With the new blu ray changes, the need for this video to be true is greater than ever!
When Spock swivels round a the end, there's the 'J J Abrams lens flare' effect. inspired touch.
Would have expected Spielberg at the end. But Spock's fine, too xD
This movie would be a blockbuster!
I love the old boy references .. great work! :D
LOL @ the lens flare when Spock appears.
How do I see this movie right now?
This has more of a character arc than the prequels.
I see references to Oldboy in this. That makes me very happy. :D
I laughed, I cried, I felt proud.
I was expecting a "based on true events" title to show up.
You guys should really make this into a whole movie. I'd love to watch this
a g1 and g2 integra at 1:46 made my day
When I saw Jar Jar Binks I literally bursted out laughing
Some scenes remember me of the movie Old School, like the sideway hall shot and one guy kicking many, the escaping of the prison, the fight on the rooftop.
correct me if i'm wrong but some of the scenes looked like they were based off of the Korean film Oldboy
When does this come out
Does jar in jar-jar-binks mean java archive?
I liked the comic relief bit. Will we be seeing more of this Jar Jar Binks?
This was uploaded nearly 1.5 years BEFORE Star Wars was sold to Disney.
You should make it in parts because it makes me really wanna watch it
Where can I watch it?
If an American remake of Oldboy is ever made, this is what I hope it would look like.
