Public Land SAMBAR DEER SCOUTING on St. Vincent Island, Florida (SNS 2022-23 #6)

- Опубліковано 19 лип 2023
- After 5 consecutive years of Unsuccessful quota applications, Danny and Mark finally scored a chance at a Sambar deer on St Vincent Island. Although the actual hunt doesn’t start till mid November, the swamp n stomp team couldn’t wait another day and had to go scout the island for the first time. This mission was recorded in July, so a lot can still Change, but a lot of fresh sun was found. Hopefully their patterns don’t change much!

Swamp N Stomp is a channel or vlog, whatever you want to call it, dedicated to helping the hunting community grow, specifically in Florida. Studies show that the majority of modern hunters had family members who raised them as hunters, and a large portion of non-hunters want to hunt but don't know where to start. By documenting our hunting adventures, making instructional or tutorial videos, and really anything-hunting-related videos, we hope to help bridge that gap by providing practical information for beginner and experienced hunters on how to become a better and more ethical hunter. Click that subscribe button and join us for the ride! Thanks for watching!

That should be an awesome hunt, there is a lot of history behind that island and a lot of great bowhunters have chased those stags
I have the pleasure of living in Victoria, Australia where we literally have thousands of sambar in two herds. They are the premier game animal in OZ.
No tags, no limits, no season 👍🏻👍🏻
Good luck with the hunt and hope you bag one.
Y’all putting in work!… good luck on your hunt!
Thatll be a fun hunt. Good luck up there.
Very Cool!
Excellent video!
Please help. A short video on what size rope and how to set up foot climber for SRT.
Been trying to get this hunt for 6 yrs. Maybe next year…..
what bikes are y'all using? could you do a equipment review if you've used different types.
There’s several on our channel. Just search Swamp n stomp e bike and you should find them
have a battery backup setup , charging system for bike? to cover all island with sugar sand
Are yall doing bow or black powder? The last time I went the camp site and check station were on the east side of island. Most sambar on east, south east. Watch out for snakes. Lots of them. Have a way to cool head. My son in law got a stag first morning. We put cape/head in heavy duty yard trash bag. Placed it in large bucket, like gut bucket. Kept it covered in ice for 3 days.
Wish I could add pic in comments
We will be hunting back powder. We’re not giving up the ability to shoot the long shots. We are going all out!
@SwampNStomp yeah, my son in law took his BP rifle AND bow to the stand. Said he was gonna use his bow. I said, "well why you taking BP?" You know if you see one out there you ain't gonna wait. - KABOOM!!
will be there for oct deer and sambar also; let us know which camp----you all still make/sell front and back racks for rad rover 5(2 bikes)--also might be looking for a quest for babcock ranch 9/2 -- let us know how best to contact per racks ---thanks-----hunted/camped at east camp last year , going to try scout from west, hope no storms
still make bike racks? might have quest permit for babcock ranch 9/2
looks like buddy has to cancel, if any have october whitetail and/or sambar hunt -- looking for someone to drive up with, etc-- have experienced charter captain arranged $75 per person round trip---
You sure those aren't dinosaur tracks?
How many get picked per year?
180 I think
And out of the 180 an average of about 5-7 animals taken per year. Not an easy hunt by any stretch of the imagination
Promo-SM 😕
