Upgraded Unbleached Bone Saddle and full setup done up by Jarvis Wong of THE GUITAR SPA SINGAPORE
    guitarsaddle@hotmail.com
    Compact body, full-size sound
The compact size of CSF makes it outstandingly comfortable to play and easy to transport; it’s the perfect guitar to take your music with you wherever you go. And thanks to an all-new design, the compact body packs a sound that’s rich, vibrant and full.
    The secret to great resonance
The design of the CSF series utilizes newly-designed scalloped bracing that delivers rich, full-bodied resonance. The use of a forward shifted construction maintains the strength of the body while maximizing the vibration of the guitar’s top.
    Two different configurations
Each CSF series guitar boasts a top made from a single sheet of Sitka spruce and mahogany sides and back. The CSF3M uses solid-wood back and sides for even better resonance.
All CSF guitars come with a durable hard bag that you can sling over your shoulder for safe, easy transport.
    Pickups for great live performance
CSF series guitars are equipped with the Zero Impact passive pickup, allowing you to plug in to an amplifier or PA system for natural, dynamic acoustic sound when playing live.

I honestly just played this guitar today in Guitar Center and I fell inloved with it. Tested it against other smaller body/parlor guitar and the Yamaha still sounds better. I'm planning to get that guitar once I have the money.

I purchased a used one. Got it set up with ebony pins. It really does pop. It's a nice, full sound, easy playing. I'm glad I found one.

    Nice review, cheers.
Went and ordered this online and it really exceeded expectations. Hard to tell from demos online whether it suits ones own style. I never use a pick and finger pick with my pads and let me tell you, this guitar is just so sweet of a tone. Have had mahogany tops a while now and thought the brightness may've been too bright, particularly with it being a smaller body, but not a bit of it! The tone is sweet and the resonance/sustain (particularly in the mid-range) is full and really quite beautiful - almost etheric on single notes! And I'll say this. Have owned a gs mini (prefering smaller bodies/travel) and this really is just better. Not only does is have a bit more of a boom in the bass than the gs mini, making it feeling more like a 'proper' guitar, but to my ears (and eyes!) the gs mini is almost too precious and ubiquitous an instrument now, and almost too balanced and predictable in tone. The balance of the strings all the way up the neck is dependably sweet and pristine on Taylors, this ain't no news flash, but I almost feel it's almost TOO good, so much so that whatever you play on them you're playing it on a Taylor, if that makes sense? Anyhow. This little Yamaha is a winner, a really characterful little thing that I'm very pleased to've taken a punt on, so pleased that I wrote on a UA-cam comment section, a hens teeth rarity. So yes, folksy finger pickers and oldskool acoustic bluesmen, closest you'll get to a
Gibson L-00 for less than a working man's week's wages. And it comes with a robust case as well. Good work, Yamaha.

Nice playing Jarvis! Very pretty and sweet sounding guitar for $399. I agree with you, a proper set up is essential.

Hi Jarvis! Love this guitar, but I wish you would compare it to the Taylor GS Mini. I am still undecided -- but this guitar costs $150 less than the Taylor. Is is worth it?

Exceptional review and demo...thanks! I just ordered the Vintage Natural model from the good folks at Sweetwater Sound. At 6:50 a little Neil Young maybe?

Played this today at Guitar Center---loved it...just didnt like that the fretboard "dots" are impossible to see, they are very feint in erson- Big sound from a small body---exactly what I'm looking for. I want to buy it but notice NO ONE discounts the 399 US price---anywhere. Why, is there some kind of price fixing going on? Anyone here been able to "negotiate" price or get something thrown in for free from Guitar Center when buying this model....thanks for a comprehensive and personable review.

Hi Jarvis, great review, very nice to see you enjoying the guitar and it sounds great. It made me try it in the store and I would love to have a guitar with that coherent harmonising strings. I also loved how it is able to play loud and soft nicely.
Only downside for me is the size (i am 1m98). Do you know another compact guitar with similar properties but with a full scale an preferably wider neck? I am quite overwhelmed by all the models.
Thanks and keep enjoying making videos :-).

I think it's a mistake to demo a guitar with a capo on. People want to hear bass response on the low E

Well I do also play at the first position of the frets too without capo
