Roboto is one of my favorite characters as well. Disappointed it's just a sticker type thing. Even more disappointed that at least they could have done is rounded out the rough edges of the heart instead of making it look like some 6 year old did that in grade school with a box cutter instead of scissors.

One of my biggest dissapointments with the first release Origins Roboto was the missing Heart and additional gears in the back like the vintage had. Now they had chance to put in a Sculpted Heart with this repaint and its a sticker inside the chest. CMON!!. Lazy! I wish I could open the body up with out breaking it. I would get an vintage Roboto and take parts out of it then just Silocone or Glue in place somehow. I also figured out the arms do come off. Mine were complely stuck on both figures. I used a blow dryer and got them put.

@@Themanchlid If i remember correctly last year wave 8 was very slow early in the year and then bbts put pre-orders up for wave 8 around march . It's funny it seems like in a matter of 5 monts between July and November we were getting waves 9 , 10 and 11 from bbts and EE. So , it's been quiet but i think BBTS will drop the pre-orders very soon

don't quote me on this. talking (complaining lol) in MOTU threads (4chan/grainofsalt) about wave availability. seems the US seems to get the short end of the stick lately with even wave 10 stuff. especially retail. one reply i got said he was from australia and they had wave 11 or 12 stuff already. i was questioning how there were a very small handful of ebay sellers for certain characters that NOBODY could seem to even order/preorder online, let alone in stores. also seems sometimes europe gets waves ahead. not sure if it's just weird distribution by mattel, them not abiding street dates, or just supply chaos. BBTS's low quantities shut down preorders for a lot of the snakemen pretty quick and i had to go to EE for the first time. still waiting on them. i haven't seen orange sticker heart roboto or lashor anywhere besides ebay.
somebody also mentioned they addressed this wonkiness at powercon a couple of years ago, we had a few good waves, and now it's back to luck of the draw
@impuri7y Yeah, I totally understand where you and many people are coming from about the frustration of the availability of this line. I usually buy the figures ahead of time from certain sites like the Paulmart store, some Ebay vendors that's not changing a million dollars, lol, or hobby stores in maylasia! Of course, I pay a higher markup and don't usually leave links in my description because I'm not suggesting this is where most people should buy this stuff or even pay the higher cost. I only do it to get certain figures in early for review on my channel as an investment. There's probably a dozen or so content creators on youtube that also do this with the newer Origins and Masterverse figures. I might come across early in box images of figures on Instagram of The origins or Masterverse figures. Once I see that, I know that figure is in production and possibly in distribution or on a ship from China. Then some come into the USA or Malaysia ports. But it seems like Mattel only does a very limited production run with the first figures. I also noticed that the early distribution figures have the most QC issues or problems from the factory. Then, certain collectors who whole sale figures like Frank and sons in California or Paulmart store get a hold of these. Or if they are exclusives. They then ship to those stores. But the rest of the distribution is a mystery and one big mess! It has been since day one, and it's still a problem! Sooner or later, places like BBTS, Ebay, or maybe Targets get some of these figures. Then they sell out or become overstocked depending on how many units are shipped and are they popular with the collectors.

But the arms and waist come apart. I wasn't sure in my review because I couldn't get them out on camera. I messed around later and found out they could.
This version of Roboto looks okay, the mini-comic colors are kind of cool…but yeah, Mattel could have at least tried to make the heart look better. I also like the idea of mini comic book colors in these repaint figures. Roboto was always one that was requested from fans since the Classics line. Yeah that Heart looks terrible. Its just a sticker inside my figure with bad edges. Some people say their sticker is on the outside. I also got my arms and waist to remove with heat. I couldn't get them out of my original Roboto but found out they do come out. So the heat trick worked. I'm also gotta have them all for the most part. Some stuff I can walk from. But I was a sucker for color variant figures👍
Man, no preorders available for this wave? I have snake armor Skeletor in my pile of loot but nothing on the other 3. Same with the newest masterverse wave, only man e faces on preorder so far. And my Frog Mongers haven’t shipped yet, motu is giving me anxiety

Right now the factorys are slow in Chine because of the Chinese new year that lasts 15 days I think and they shut many factorys down all month. So maybe that's some of the problem. The Origins distribution has been a mess since day one. Its not better. It seems you really have to hunt online sometimes. I'm also waiting for my second Frog Monger figure. Still haven't shipped! Maybe they ran out of stock and are waiting for more.

@Lacaframalama No problem! I try to get what I can when I can early.. I don't buy everything. If there's a figure I don't really want, I don't buy it like the other Sunman characters. I don't have room and am really not interested. I like BBTS. But some things take a while to get or have in stock when it comes to Motu.
I haven't even seen wave 9 in my stores. I got my figures off ebay a while back! The Masters of the Origins lines distribution has been a mess from day one.
The arms are removable, first thing I did on my Roboto was give him a big pair of meat-arms. The clear plastic might get brittle with age.. internal pegs for the arms are VERY well seated. Not gonna bust anytime soon. This isn't your Classics Roboto!

I used a blow dryer near the socket and then I got them out. It didn't make sense why I couldn't get them out like all the other Origins. But I got it with a little more time.
Yeah, it's a cool color variant for Roboto. I don't like the sticker..also mine is on the inside. I heard some other people's are on the outside, and you can scrape it off! Thanks for checking out the review👌
Mine looks like it's inside the body with adhesive on the front of of it sticking to the plastic. I have heard of other people's Roboto heart stickers on the outside and they took them off.

@kilroywashere513 No, I don't think that fisto fist normally comes off the arm without custom work. And I think it has a larger peg on it.

the only figure i pick up from this wave is tung lashor. worst wave so far. no wonder the line is being cancelled at retail.

Definitely a skip. I started cherry picking now due to space. Just a repaint with a heart sticker. Got my own wish/expected list as well.
I totally understand! This figure could be an easy pass for those reasons you mentioned or a variant version to army build some Robots👌
