Thanks for the link! Just subscribed 👌🏼
I know you guys hear it a lot, but I gotta say it anyhow: it does this old man's heart good to see them young'uns working outside next to the adults. No complaining, no whining about wanting to do something else, no rushing to get it done so they can get attached to video games, or cell phones...it's truly showing the way things should be; and, I thank you for that. These youngsters will know what good work ethic means, and they are learning - at the same time - to recognize the fruits of their labors when the garden or flowers start to show. You guys have sooooo much to be proud of.
Agree 100 %
Jacob is getting taller by the moment and Maggie gets prettier by the day. I am so happy I found your channel. Brings back so many fond memories of my growing years where my little brother and I worked right beside our parents and absorbed so much.
There yard and garden be lookin good this spring .jus sayin y’all.
What fun seeing Black Star ready for her baby and the kids enjoying themselves. Those Old Gentlemen look so relaxed well fed safe and so loved. Nothing like lying in the field on a sunny day. Yum!
13:53 watching Miss Maggie do anything warms my heart, she’s so precious ❤❤ busy little bee 🐝
Megan, I love you and your family it's always such a pleasure to see your family working together and loving each other. Your kids are being well raised. Andy is a good man. Guess I can't give you all enough praise.
Love every video! Congrats to the new mama!
Congrats to Andy for all his hard work at the hay field...be careful!
your family is so hard working. thank you for the clip of the member. aww so sweet
Andy, if you have a woodchipper, you could turn that river birch into woodchips for your garden.
Great video and Awwh!!! Blackstar had her baby calf and I hope they are doing well!!! Congratulations!!!! 🙂
Andy, you will gain more hay field and increase your hay yield by trimming the trees and brush back from the edges of the field. The tulips will look pretty this spring. Blessing to you folks.
Planting flowers, riding and caring for the land...that's 'happiness" tapping you on the shoulder.
Wow huge day cutting trees planting flowers , cooking yummy supper and ending with seeing sweet baby calf!❤
Thanks for sharing. Your work looks good Andy and supper looked delicious as usual.
Love how Jacob and Maggie being involved with whatever you all are doing!😊❤🙏🏻
Ms. Ruby
I got my copies today! Bad weather ahead but I have good reading for a while.
I can see right now that that new Kubota has paid for it's self just in this video. I cut enough trees and brush around tobacco fields, farm roads and my garden to know cleaning up is the hardest part. I always hated dodging tree limbs plowing or mowing around the edge of a field. That's a great looking meal Meagan. Y'all have a great weekend!
thanks Mark
If you line the bottom of your "chicken leg pan" with foil, and spray the rack with cooking spray or olive oil, you will have a much easier cleanup, without having to soak your pan. Your dinners always look simple, and delicious! Cooking is an art! Baking is a science! So glad you have started having your little ones work with you in the kitchen. I believe teaching our son's and daughters how to do household tasks, including laundry, cooking, ironing, and cleaning, is something they can use all their life. I home schooled my 2 girls and 2 boys, and as part of their schooling, I taught them menu planning checking the pantry to make sure we had the ingredients to make a meal, adding those items we needed to a shopping list, and I took them to the grocery store, to look for the best price for what we needed. I even assigned 1 day a week, for each to cook the meal they planned for. My children are now 30, 32, 34, and 36 years old. They all know how to cook, and do it often. It takes longer to make a meal, when you are first teaching them but it's a very valuable art to have in ones tool box! My husband barely could boil water when we married. His mom did everything for him! After seeing he was clueless about how to do household tasks, I determined all our children would be prepared to do everything, to keep a household fed, clean, and tidy! They all cook and clean in their own families, and that makes me proud!
I believe 4-H is also a valuable learning experience. I never knew all the contests one could join in, during fair week. My children did everything they could. My oldest daughter and son won 1st and 2nd place for baking biscuits, (the same recipe for each participant). My younger daughter entered some flowers she grew, as part of a small booklet, that they had to fill out and do little projects, during their bi-weekly meetings, starting in January/February. Winning a place is great; but learning you won't always win, is also a valuable lesson. Learning the names for each part of a live chicken, got my two oldest children 1st and 2nd place in chicken knowledge on how to handle poultry, while showing, along with each part and care necessary in raising chickens (showmanship contest) They may not win 1st or 2nd place for their animals themselves, since it's subjective contests, on what a judge is seeing in one's animal, but the knowledge and showmanship is anyone's contest to win. I believe it's the best program, for young farmers, to learn about animals and how to care for them. The 4-H program can always count for homeschooling, for families not using a specific curriculum. Basic math, science, and even writing about an animal for English/composition, is all included in rasing an animal for 4-H.
You are so right about brush tearing up stuff in a hurry. When my dad was a younger man , he was on a tractor in the woods. He ran over some brush and small trees. When he ran over them with the front tires, they whipped back up and he lost a eye that day. Sometimes it can be down right dangerous. So be careful Mr. Andy!
Hello True Grit family. Glad ti see yalls loving faces again. Yall always busy and them 2 baby's most of the time are right there. I see my girl tiger. Lol. The horses are loved. We really appreciate yall. God bless and have a wonderful blessed day ❤
We love yall 😊
Another good video. Wow Andy, you really worked hard today and Megan those potatoes look delicious. Wow and the kids was out planting their flowers. Just a wonderful video the horses laying in the field. Thanks for sharing.❤
Thank you
Awwwww I love your two old men horses! They’re so sweet. I’m happy to see them relaxing in the sun! I think it’s so neat how the camera can ride on top of that tractor and down the road it went lol
Aww a new baby ❤
Alright yall folks have a good one and we catch you on the next one
I enjoyed watching all of you live life so well. You are a blessing.
Love watching the kids,😢 climbing the trees was one of my favorite things to do when ii was a kid. Love your family😊❤
You are awesome family
Tulips need to be planted in the fall. They need hours of cold. They are not fond of our mild winters and hot summers. Many people refrigerate the bulbs until they plant them in late fall in the South. If they do come up, you are lucky and blessed.
we'll see they've been in the building all winter so hopefully they have had their chill hours
Was great to see you doing all those fun projects, thank yall again
Your videos always bring me, much-needed peace❤
I loved watching the tractor come up on the trailer. So cool.
Awesome job y'all 👍🤓👍. Great weather to be getting things done. We still have snow covered ground n cold weather here in Michigan. Watching y'all is giving me the summer itch👍😉
I enjoyed the video thank you
Happy Friday y'all! Oh my gosh what another awesome vlog! Love the new camera angles and trips down the road...aaand I've meant to mention before that you do such a fantastic job editing your videos, so cohesive. You allow the viewer to move through the video content really smoothly, as if we were there with you. And dang Andy you put a move on that tree work for one person, wow! You might already know of this channel but if not, you might like @AndrewCamarata channel. As always many thanks and best wishes, Sheri 😀🌴🌺
Great to see ya'll out enjoying the weather.....great vid as always.
That Baby is so cute...good job momma💙💯
It does my heart good to see those children playing and enjoying themselves.
It’s a good life y’all!!
Nice video guys. I see you've got a new addition to the cows.
Barefoot and climbing trees!! Love it!!
feel proud...eating what you grew and raised.
I totally enjoyed watching this video. It looks like Jacob is as tall as Meagan or almost now! Dinner looks good like always...
Ironwood is a carving wood I believe. I know I have a small hand carved buffalo (bison) that was a gift & it's carved from Ironwood. You need a chipper, make your own mulch. SHE CALVED!! 🤗
Enjoyed it!
Tshirts and planting flower bulbs ! I can't wait for spring here in Montana ❤🌷
Wish I was enjoying planting something...its hovering around 15 degrees here, with lows around 0 at night 👀
We built a pallet fence around both our gardens. We have two house factories in our town, and free pallets abound. It took about a month of gathering, but 90ish pallets later we have a fence that keeps the deer and bear out. And…all it cost was a bucket of screws.
Our goal this year: build a barn out of pallets and rough cut lumber. Both free.
That's nice love retirement, do what you want or do nothing 😉
Nice video. Suggestion if I missed it. Fall is an excellent time to apply lime to the hayfields
because it can neutralize acidity over the winter. Lime takes at least six months to change soil pH.
Another great video! Can't wait until our weather in Michigan gets nice enough to wear short sleeve shirts and get busy planting
Forgot to say congrats on the baby calf! Love her name. Good job, Maggie:)
i ordered both mags.... thank you guys!!
That was some sweet tractor work and a good lookin tractor. Looks like the little helpers took the day off hehe. Don't know how y'all do it.. I get wore out just watching y'all do all that work.
haha yea I guess they just wasn't feeling it that day hahaha
Looking great around there everyone, the new addition looks well taken care of by the momma, some flowers were planted and some cleaning around the hay field which was awesome, and another fantastic meal was prepared for everyone by Megan. What a blessed day. Thanks for sharing with us, stay safe and keep up the great work and videos. Fred and family.
❤ Andy, I can’t help but smile when I see you on your new tractor! 🚜 Your wood cutting , I.e. clearing your hay field, really looks so much better. Great job! Supper looks delicious. Enjoyed watching you and Maggie planting her flower garden. Tulips are so beautiful and they are perennials so that is a big plus! Happy to see the beautiful weather. Take care and congrats on the new baby! God bless you all in every way. 🙏🏻🙏🏻💜💜🚜🚜 🌷 🌷
thank you!
I truly appreciate y'all 💞💞💞🙏
I enjoy ya’ll videos so much. Real down to earth.
Yes, ironwood is considered excellent firewood due to its high heat output and dense nature, making it a great choice for long-burning fires, despite the difficulty in splitting it because of its hardness; however, its small size and challenging splitting process might deter some people from using it regularly.
great!
Good day. Another stellar video. Received my True Grit hat last night. Love the card Allison included and the two Faith Stickers, superb!! What to order next🙇
Thanks!
I have got to invest in a pole saw. Tired of almost getting drug off the tractor while bush hogging. And looking like been fighting a bobcat when done ! Thing is sweet ! The pasture looked great. You definitely will gain from the work you did no doubt !
they will work ya to death but defiantly worth the outcome
Can't wait for it to dry up so I can start preparing my garden.
Great content
How warm is it down there I see the little one running around here bare feet reminds me of me when I was younger
Great job Andy looking good and Megan good looking supper can't wait to see the new baby
Long log pieces make beautiful flower and veggie beds.
yes they do but they rot out pretty fast
Thanks for the video!
❤ You know your animals.
Sure am glad to see your video today. I have had knee problems this week and haven't been able to do much, but what you are doing is just what I want to be doing!!! Love yall!
I ordered the magazines can't wait to get them!
Great job congratulations on the new calf living the dream
River Birch trees have many uses including firewood. Google and you will see the long list. Just in case you want to use.
well google may say it does but I've used it before and I really didn't like it. didn't burn that great and wasn't a hot wood at all
Great vid as always. Saw that cast iron pot and thought that would be a good spot for some tulips. Then realized I had a cast iron pot and some left over tulip bulbs. Andy. Check with your Sparks Forge friend. He may want some of that ironwood for a handle for a knife or something.
Aww! She had her baby calf! ❤
Good job Andy!
Meagen just finished making my Eggless Chocolate Pie from your last video. I added the 1/2 c brewed coffee that a viewer suggested snd I put mine in graham cracker crusts. Scraping the leftovers from my cooking pot and WOW!!!!!! Looking forward for it to be ready to serve👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👋
Awesome!
Megan, you rock girl!!!
Love watching the channel
Great ending!!!
I’m bobbin and weavin in the limbs. 😂😂
Awesome as always! My hubby chainsaw bag is a milk crate! Have a great week!
That boy is going thru a growing spurt he’s getting tall
yes he is!
I thought the same thing👍
Great video ❤
Got to say you guys stay busy every day. That makes everything you do look good and tired too lol. Glad to see yall working in the warmer weather and enjoy it. Bad weather next week and cold will be back. I'll haft to get down and meet up with you guys. I'm in Southwestern Virginia 62 miles to be exact to Pilot Mt.
Awesome not to far away then!
Congrats on the nre baby calf.....mama cleaning her baby and had to get a little bite of hay too.....❤ Luved the video.....hope the squirrels and or chipmunks don't eat Maggie's tulip bulbs.... I learned the hard way...didn't plant them deep enough {6 to 8 inches) and they all got ate up by the squirrels 🐿....
oh wow didn't know that
Yes, squirrels love tulip bulbs and that's why I don't plant them. I now plant daffodils instead, squirrels don't eat them at all.
I am so jealous..northeastern oklahoma has snow and ice coming in a few days. Sure do want to play in the dirt.
I was always happy to throw a piece of iron wood in the wood stove. It would burn hours longer than the rest of the wood so I didn't have to get up in the middle of the night to add more wood. You are lucky!
I ain't heard about ironwood since I was a kid clearing right aways with my grandfather. I do remember it burning hot and taking a long time to burn on the burn piles we made.
Awesome
Thanks for showing us the new babe.
Enjoyed your video ❤
If you have a wood chipper, or access to one, could the river birch be chopped up into free mulch?
I bought 113 acres from a logger in Hart County Kentucky. We use it has a deer camp, turkey hunting, squirrel hunts, pig roast and fun. We had brush piles everywhere. We slowly gather them up. My son is a master plumber, and we used his equipment to move these piles. One week end we roasted a pig and burned a huge pile of brush. It burned for about 48 hours and smolder for another week. To me that was the most efficient way of getting rid of the brush. I was wondering why you just didn't gather all of your brush and burn it?
I would've if i didnt have the woods to push it to. It'll give the rabbits somewhere to hide, plus just a few years itll be rotted down
One of my distant kin was pushing on a brushpile with his loader tractor when one sprang back and took his head off so you must be very careful all the time ...literally tore his head off !!!!!!!!
oh my goodness im sorry! yes it can be dangerous
You need a hardhat when cutting down trees!
You might could sell the wood to carvers. They look for wood that has been dead and magnolia trees are popular too.
The riverbirch , can the kids practice on whittling or. Something ? ❤❤😊
they might could
If I lived close by I would get some of that birch from to turn bowls on my lathe
I wish you was
Need a mulching head for that tractor.
Is there any way that you could show us step by step how you do the bubbles skin fried pork belly? I need that in my life, some of the videos I’ve watched are very confusing and challenging.
Andy when you cut down the river birch I saw a couple of trees that I am hoping you can tell me what they are. At 25:14 in the video right in front of you are a couple of trees that still have all their leaves although the leaves are all completely brown, can you tell me what they are? We have several of them but I have not been able to identify them. Thanks. We are in the northwest corner of Georgia, so not that different from you.
You can make spoons!!!
👌
What is that little tree that Maggie was climbing, please?
Andy, do you need a “sock” for your tractor exhaust, to prevent the turbo from spinning, without lubrication, from the force of the wind goin down the road? We use them on our cranes when they are hauled to jobs. Just wonderin. Love the videos and your adventures!
I dont know I know we used to do that on Daddys older tractors however this one has emissions and that might detour the air from blowing the turbo, but if i were to haul it a long ways I'd put one on anyway
What is iron wood
its a small tree thats really prevalent around here but from the comments apparently it makes great firewood
That pole saw hurts me for days.
