Miss Maria I want to thank you for all the time you put into these videos. They are always a win and they are such great ideas for people who might be food insecure and maybe not the best cooks in the world. You are appreciated
Everything looked delicious and so easy. I love Ben's smile. He is such a great baby and getting so big. Thank you for another great video and we'll see you next time.
We tried the ground meat, broccoli and Ramen recipe 😋 for dinner tonight 😊😋 It was a HIT!! Added the following: red pepper flakes for the kick, corn starch to thicken up the sauce & veggie broth I!! My 16yr old eat the steamed broccoli (without cheese -LOL)! Thank you ❤️ We're adding shrimp or chicken for the next meal ideas! So yummy! ❤️❤️😊 keep bringing these kid approved recipes 👌. We're all making our dollar$ stretch.
Dollar General has a $5 off $25 digital coupon every Saturday. The dollar general coupon stacks with manufacturer coupons as well to help you save even more.
I love your Taco plates! So colorful, and room for three standing tacos and sides. I found some on eBay, and I can't wait for my grandchildren to eat their tacos out of them.
I enjoy seeing the videos from Dollar General, we have expensive grocery stores here in our little town and Dollar Generals. I also like seeing the different cooking methods, sometimes I like to try the new ways that other people cook, you give some good ideas. Thank you for the time that you put into your videos
I have never shopped at Dollar General. We have a Dollar Tree that I have shopped several times. I am a saver of all extra take out packets from my grandchildren and our chinese take out. I have a gallon ziploc bag that I just toss them in there.
Learned how to cook rice in the 1960’s. Just like you explained……..like you’re cooking pasta. Always tender, never sticky because you rinse it after cooking. Great video😊
We love curries which can be quite cheap with lentils and cheaper cuts of meat, chicken, fish, veg and even fruit. It also goes well with rice and chapatis (flat bread) etc.
I recently saw an extreme grocery budget meal with chickpeas and spinach curry that is on my list of new ones to try. I have only ever made curry with a meal kit.
Oh my goodness. I love learning new ways of cooking things! I am excited to try the sheet pan fried rice. We do pasta with garlic butter as opposed to alfredo as my DH is not a fan. That would give back a few dollars for some fruit other side. We do stuffed French toast with meat, egg, and cheese inside, or a grilled cheese with a hard cooked egg inside to use those items a bit differently. I really enjoy your videos!! Keep up the great job. You really have a talent for this and I love watching you and your sweet family. Blessings!!
I take the flat corn tortillas, fry them crisp. Then take a 1:1 ratio of salsa to ranch dressing and put that on the shell. Then whatever cooked protein with taco seasoning. I do chicken. Load it up with what you like. It's a cheap meal. Well, cheap at today's standards. Little messy, but fun. I used to make chow mein with spaghetti noodles for the boys. I cooked extra on a day with pasta and marinara. The next day or two days later, I would stir fry some cabbage, carrots, onions. Toss in the spaghetti noodles, to heat them up. Added some soy sauce and sesame oil. There was enough to feed them and for them to microwave the next day for lunch. You could also do teriyaki sauce.
I combined your first 2 dishes the other day when I made taco ramen, I use dehydrated beef crumbles because it works best with my life style even though its a bit $$$, I add some herb-ox no sodium beef bullion to the crumbles and add the ramen to the same water after the beef had rehydrated, add the taco seasoning and beans/corn.. for spanish rice a can of tomato juice works well but I prefer salsa.. the pinwheels are a neat idea
Ramen can be such an affordable meal or side dish. I like to take the roast beef one and add minced onion, garlic powder b. Pepper and sour cream. Course I do drain most of the water before I doctor in but, it comes out tasting like stroganoff. I am big on using cream or milk with ramen. I make a faux chicken noodles (not soup version) and instant mashed potatoes.
I never get sick of taco night. Full English Breakfast is a favourite dinner of mine also. Ive never had broccoli alfredo before but I love both of them so would be good together, I might try that tomorrow or monday.
Try cook rice in microwave, Microwave safe dish, rinse rice clear,2c.rice 3c.water uncovered 5min.then depending on each microwave, mine continues to cook 17min,then sit a few add seasonings parsley, salt pepper, garlic it.seasoning sprinkled over top,one chicken cube in 1c.water heat in microwave for one mintune, pour over cooked rice stir fluff.cover with plastic wrap to keep from drying out til ready to eat. If too dry add more chicken broth water. We also put a little butter in with seasonings if we have it if not hey its good.
I saw a vlog where the vegan family uses lentils in place of ground meat for tacos, evidentially it is popular even with kids so you can cut the ground beef expense
I use lentils all the time in place of ground beef, and if you have some people who are hestitant you can sub 1 c lentils for 1/2 pound beef and just do a mix of both. The texture is very similar so it’s not noticeable at all.
@@Jordan-nw4sj good idea, maybe I’ll start with a little bit incorporated when I make meatballs. I have no idea the last time I made them, probably years it’s not something we eat often but I saw a crockpot meatball meal I want to try.
I have always cooked rice that way. lol Ive never owned a rice cooker because I didnt "get it" when you can cook it so easily in a pot, just like pasta.
Over here where I shop I found that all Dollarama & Dollar tree stores NOT SELL ALOT OF THIS STUFF. You have to look around your area of living to find what you can at your price that is best for you.
I think I may have to stop by Dollar General more often. I have one literally less than a mile away & have been in there maybe twice since it’s been there. On a different subject, I’ve tried some of their “Believe” cosmetics and been very pleased. I’m definitely not a brand snob on most things, so I’m up for buying from Dollar Tree or Dollar General. Believe it or not, ramen noodles is not something I keep on hand. I need to expand my horizons. Yours is not the only channel that uses them in recipes.
Next time you're at the the Dollar General, get yourself a link of smoked Eckrich Sausage, a box of Mac & Cheese, maybe a pack or two of that two minute microwaveable rice, a big bottle of Star Spangled soda, and you've got yourself a fairly decent family supper.
Just a commentary WOW that's illegal I would think to not change price tags but to charge more Okay on to the video. I love Ramen in stir-fried so quick and easy. Sometimes I enjoy just Ramen noodles with a little butter. They also work well in a Chicken Soup. Great meals
Sounds like they were working on it,just hadn’t gotten to everything in the store. Like she said too they probably don’t have enough workers. Minimum wage is so low and to afford a 2 bedroom apt and afford most basic necessities in the states the min wage required is $23/hr. There’s been a few articles on it.
@@momentsformoms9467 You are correct. However, I worked in the retail industry 30 years and to charge higher prices at the register than what is posted on the shelf is illegal and the company can be fined.
