Hartung Family Farms is a farming operation out of Jackson and Clinton County Iowa, with our main farm located in Preston Iowa. We have around 2400 acres of corn, soybeans, alfalfa, rye, and oats as well as around 750 head of cattle. You say corn for nh3 but I used it for wheat, barley, oats canola, sunflowers, flax ground

Strap a 6x6 across the back of your trailer about where your last bales end up. They won’t roll back then when your loading your first bale look at the center of trailer so you know about where the center is and about where the edge of your bale should be. Save you some time loading. God bless

Can that spreader do variable rate? For lime we have found that to be a big cost saving. Grid sample the fields and it will show many areas that don't need any lime and some that only need a small rate and some that need max rate. All in all, probably typically see 1/3 or 1/2 the need for lime versus simple broadcasting.
