I recommend you get a plane with AS3X Safe select receiver. I’ve had several friends purchase jets as there first plane and with great success. This technology wasn’t around when I learn how to fly. Checkout horizon hobby and tower hobby. Good luck my friend.
Not sure if you've got started yet but: 1) grab a simulation RF9.5 is a good one 2) Join an sanctioned field and get a coach to help you 3) grab a habu if you want a jet or the aero scout if you want a high wing plane Good Luck
Nice flying, and great landings. Those landing approaches are how they should be, hold about 9 degrees AOA and set your glide slope under power…roll off power and hold it off around 11 degrees AOA for the flare. It hurts my head hen I see pilots come in hot nose down, over control their flare, then bounce the landing hard. A jet like this deserves to be flown more scale like…well done.
Hi! So sorry that I’m just now responding but been so busy with work and 2 builds and maidens!! I’m a scale guy! I love to fly scale. Thank you for watching. More to come. 🙏👊
Oops buddy I have an F-15 however it is the HP 6s version. I want to buy a new EDF 4068 -1850kv 8s engine. My ESC is 130A, can it handle the new 8s motor? The product description of the 8s says that the working current is between 120 - 125A.
Is your ESC a Hobbywing? What model please? I have that motor but don’t recall how many amps it draws at full power. I’ve used and tested with a 100amp ESC. Depends on ESC that’s in it
@@comeflywithmerc yes, from Hobbywing (130A with 8A UBEC). Can you tell me if I could reuse this model for the 8s configuration (Freewing edf E72215 4075-1350kV) without causing damage to the motor?
@@pedroviegas6276 I would upgrade to an 8s esc. I had the same model ESC working just fine with no issues but I was getting a nice spark everytime i connect the Ec5. Just after a few flights I fully charged and connected EC5 with a spark and never worked again, just beeps. And believe me I tried everything! The motor should be fine if you do decide to take the risk. That’s on you. Now if you do, use an anti spark connector AS150. You mite have better luck. I now use this connector on all my 8s models, which is all my 90mm jets.🤪
@@comeflywithmerc Well, my friend, I've been thinking here...I think it's a bit risky to keep the same ESC. As for money, I'm a little tight right now. It would be my first model airplane and my first flight, I'm an amateur at this. However, I'm studying flight dynamics in college and I wanted to apply it to this model. For a beginner like me in this case, do you think it's better for me to stay with the 6s configuration, and then with time I migrate to the 8s? It's just that in the videos I saw that the F-15 didn't seem to convince the people, because it lacks speed in the air, despite the "whoosh" sound being good.
I just had to trim a little foam from the sides. (2) - 5000mAh 4s fit like a glove. She fly’s on the heavy side, but one of my favorite jets in my hanger
So nice! Man she gets small quick hey? And that sound, those Vortex whistles give it a great whine. I’ve got the A-10 80mm and it also needs power on landing, at least how I fly it! I’ve subscribed and would love it if you’d consider doing the same for me. Happy flying!
At least your wife tried to keep the plane in frame. My wife just holds her phone in one place and waits for the plane to pass in front of her. 🤣
Looks so much better when you put all the stickers on! That nomenclature sheet was quite intimidating. Great plane…great sound!
Man that's one beautiful bird ! I have my sights on that jet, hopefully it won't be discontinued till I'm able to get. Nice flying there captain!
You bossed her dude!!!!
Smart Go-around!
Thats touch and go was dope!!! Actually very exciting video to watch.
What is the best way for me to get started?
Thank you.

Any upgrades to the power system to go to 8S?

What a beauty. How does she fly out of the box? Is she easy to fly ?
She is way easier to fly out of the box on 6s. But I would not recommend for a first EDF Jet. 8s is my favorite but requires some experience to fly!
I need to watch all your videos. I crashed 3 70mm F16s on their maidens...but I'm not quitting!
Awesome! What modifications did you have to make so the batteries would fit?

u have your whistles in backwards...should have alot more whistle sound as soon as u hit the throttle
Sorry, but I believe if the plane has two engines in reality-the model should also.

Oh wow shes pretty fast was gonna get one but heard there all bog hogs and underpowered? Is this 1 stock besides the whistles?
No, it’s 8s power system.
@@comeflywithmerc oh yup forgot thought this came with 8s as well should be stock 8s can't wait to get 1 getting bored of the 6s ones tbh
