If you treat yourself like trash, why would the rest of the world go out of the way to help you? You can't force someone to sober up and stay sober.

Ive listened to this ep prob 6 times on loop and its one of my favorite eps so far.. Can really relate im clean from heroin and meth 6 years now. And It is hard man i havent had a drink in about a year or so. I finally got my mental health in check and the right meds. Michigan up here is awful for helping any addicts or alcoholics its all about locking them up in jail taking their meds away and not helping them. For my suboxone if i had to take a dif kind id have to drive 4 hours to get it. I still have to drive without a license a hour one way. None of the big pharmacies carry our meds either walmart walgreens etc. Here. Its fucking insane and it needs to improve. I have a buddy in jail right now that took a ton of meds and hes a veteran marine nd they took all his meds and threw him in jail like thats nothing. Its so hard to come off sub let alone come off in a holding cell alone. I just think this shit needs to change honestly. I love this guy hes awesome and hope he really does something with the platform he has he could help people that are hurting like this. Thanks Chrissy for this ep. Loved it. 💛 cant wait for titis ep Friday on the patreon.

I’m going through a really hard time right now, and have been for quite a while and I haven’t given up bc I have two boys but they are the only reason. I have come to the realization that I am not really living. I’m surviving and helping my kids live. It’s crazy, but I needed this podcast today lol to hear that things can be way worse, and they are about to be for me but I can and will get through. People do it all the time. We adapt, we change and we can grow. I just need to recalibrate my mindset again. It’s gotten lost a bit. Sorry for the rant, lol sometimes ya just need to put it out into the world to set it into motion. Love ya Chrissy, pimpy, and Ian. Also the Babes… Thursdays are for us…u know this if you’re reading this and I know that you are, and the Christians/ Puerto Ricans. ❤
