Inserts are sick. Summertime in the Park is hands down my favorite. The Strokes are a boring unless its a parallel. A GOLD would look awesome. You're just warming up, your hits are coming 🚀
The design for chrome is clean and the inserts give me a 90s vibe. The numbering is in an odd spot I personally liked the numbering on the back. The price point and the expansive auto checklist makes these a brutal rip. Topps just put chrome on their website id be shocked if they sell out anytime soon.
My card budget not very big so I'm gonna have to maybe get a couple blasters or a mega box but bout all I'll be buying wish I could afford some hobby lol I'll have to say they look really nice though but I'll live through u and watch your case break thanks for the content
My guess is the thinner card stock leads to less bowing of the cards which is a plus. The videos I watched had 2 hits and an auto…some had 2 numbered cards and some had 1 numbered card and 1 negative. I like the rookie class but these openings have looked rough for the price.
I've seen some good autos come out of rips but seems like the price point of all the boxes (hobby, jumbo, breakers) makes it tough to hit half value even with a good auto. I'm hoping you hit a big one or an SP in this case!
I was watching a guy rip a $450 jumbo box of these earlier and thee only thing he got were 3 autos from pitchers who were unknown.. I’ll think I pass on these until I find somebody that would pull something that’s extremely worth it!
Topps Chrome is way too expensive this year. Saving my $$$ for Bowman Chrome and Topps Update which will have all these RC’s plus all the April and May Rookies as well.
The design is exactly what I thought it would be very clean and looks great. However, I don't care for some of the new inserts they seem a bit childish to me and are more suited for and belong in other Topps products like Stickers, Big League, Opening Day and maybe even Heritage. I agree this product isn't worth the price of admission although I've been getting really lucky with the Hangers, but then again hangers seem to always be bangers right sports fans? One last note even though your auto is a pitcher at least it's a good one and not a Joe Smuck-A-Telly.
I might buy 1 megabox but thats it and maybe logofractor but i have a feeling the price is going to be to the moon. I mean last year was 129.99 this year 189.99. Yikes!
I don't hear many people talking about the Jackson's, and langford true rookies are coming out in chrome before the paper version in update? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, I thought chrome was going to be great even without those guys and update would have been amazing. Now update chrome is going to be pretty lame besides skenes and the Debut patches

Topps sucks. I could only afford to rip 1 hobby box. My auto was a padres rookie who I never heard of being a huge padres fan. His name is mason McCoy. He literally had 1 AB for the padres last year! He’s 30 years old and will never see another AB. How do they justify this price while putting hits like that in the product?! The hobby sucks now.

Thinner stock is better, avoids the weighing of packs with pack searchers. They started the thick stock cards in 2016.
