- This customer heard a loud bang when he was running his slide room on his RV. Even I was a little shocked on what I found. Did he have a broken cable?

This video made me smile. Bill Hilly is the perfect name for your assistant. 👍🙂✝
After having slide issues with our Class A, then a Class C; we decided to buy a fiberglass trailer which has no slides.
Smart
Hey !!. I love work, absolutely fascinated by it. I could watch it all day. Lol
Appreciated you showing how it runs when it is fixed. Those cable units confuse me.
Nice job and you made it look easy good luck with all the trim
Finally seeing the end of the tasks that my used 2013 Sighseer needed. Generator carb issues, bad AC fan motors, up dating TV networking. F53 maintenance, trans service, radiator service etc, etc. What concerns me are the slides x 3. Another thing I have to learn from Kenny. Glad we have him out there.
Kenny, thanks for all of the lessons. One thing; you might want to use a scrap piece of wood/plastic/metal bewteen the wood pieces and tools to prevent marring the pieces. It's one of my finer tricks.
Slides are nice when they work.
Very helpful video. Your a good guy to hire!
It's a good thing you have figured out how to get that trim off without tearing it up like most people would. I've owned and worked on some campers that had some ugly attempted repairs! Some of mine included! Good job. Too bad the mfgrs. don't know about blue thread locker😅
I have a cable slide system on my trailer, but its the exact/slide mechanism with 2 motors, one in each jamb. Knock on wood, no issue yet. It will happen when i am 300 miles from.home.😅 I cringe every time it functions. Thnx for the video.
Super job again! I just wonder why you always get the easy stuff? Lol😂 besides I wanted to see the actual cable get replaced. I like your name for your little guy Bill Hilley!
Im always worried everytime you start pulling off trim. Thanks Don
Me too Don
Once again nice job
Thanks for giving us the CAMEO shots on this video. Lin and I got a big kick out of it. I hate those facia. looks like they could find a standard way to put them up.
Have a GREAT day buddy !!!!
It's sad to see how manufacturers assemble things! Always leave you a surprise don't they? Nice to see Bill Hilly get a cameo appearance and know that he's on the job. Good work as usual.
Good job.
It'd be nice to see how you put the fascia boards back on.
I have other videos that show that.
Kenny maybe you should of used your k-nife to cut the fake wood paper so that it would not have shown when you put the trim back on ? Hind sight is always 20/20 .
Great video and excellent information!
That’s the same type of slide system I had on our previous Class A. I bought a spare cable kit for it just in case. That guaranteed it would never fail!
That usually works for me too.
I’m guessing it was a pleasant surprise not having to replace the cable after messin with the facia & the super star 👍👍🇨🇦✌️🇨🇦✌️🇨🇦👍🔧🔧
Real nice surprise
We are new subs and fellow content creators! We saw your channel on the list of creators that will be at the RV Show. We have a booth slot as well and hope to meet up with as many of the other creators as possible. Great job on the fix here. We just had our entire slide mechanism replaced last month. Schwintek smh. RV tech for the win! I fix most things on my own but this one was above my paygrade. See you at the show! ~ Mike (and Shelley)
Awesome. Looking forward to meeting everybody.
Very well done! That’s why I sent a guy from a Jayco forum to your channel. You knew just when to stop prying on the fascia! Great job!
Taking off that fascia looked like a tedious job. I'd be tempted just to rip it right off 😆
It's pretty clear they don't intend for it to be removed. Kinda like buying a car that you can't open the hood!
@@ScottDLR Right?!
You just never know what you find till you peel back the layers on the onion. Good job.
Exactly
I've always used a putty knife to remove trim. 👍👍👍👍👍
Nice job!
Beter you then me lol 😆
It's to bad that don't make the trim , so it's just easy to pull off.
They must know by now that all slides need service at some point. Keep it up brother.
Can't do that. Makes too much sense. Hard way or no way. Lol
You done did good Kenny! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks
Nice work sir
Great video Kenny.
Bore scopes has came down in price lately. Might be worth investing in to look at places
you can't see into. Some have a decent size screen. Good for hard to see inspection.
Amazon has several.
I’m in northern WV and considering going to NRVTA to become a certified RV Tech and Inspector. I’d like to pick your brain sometime on work sustainability or what you do during the winter months.
Perhaps. Got to my website and send me an email. www.hillbillyrv.net
Blue Loctite. They will loosen again.
Seems like a pretty touchy design for something designed to bounce down the highway.
I like the videos you do. I use them to help myself and others on FB forums. I try to send them your way. Hopefully to increase your subscribers.
Thanks
Good job
Loctite??? Maybe
Yahoooo mountain dew
Horrible slide system. Nice work!
hello!
that was great! I was squirmin when you were pryin off the fascia ! whew! do you have to use a brad nailer to put it back together? did the brads serve a purpose?
Thanks for another informative video!
Hey now I'm yankabilly miller
Nice work! I'm learning lots watching all your videos :) do you have any videos on the raised floor slide outs? not sure what they are called but the ones that have one motor underneath the slide with a set of geared tracks. if it wasn't for the wheel well in the way I would love to have mine level with the floor. Mine teeter totters a bit when sliding in or out but goes back straight once it's all the way in or out.
AZ Expert might have videos on those rooms.
Kenny is there any cut off on the motor in or out or do you just judge went to let go of the switch? Thanks Ed
Motor just amps out and stops.
who has to pay for the chipped fasia?
1st! Yep, voyering!
