honestly, this SPECIFIC performance of this song has been such a huge comfort to me and my emotions. so many things have been changing in my life, a lot of things which have been really painful and made me feel lost. and while the way I’ve connected with the lyrics is very much not the actual songs meaning, it has helped tremendously in an almost backwards way to see this song as someone calling out all of the bad around them and then backing off last minute and acting like they were out of line for ever questioning anyone. again, that is very much not the meaning of the song, but blasting that “for a minute there, I lost myself (well I’m afraid that I)” has been such a comfort during this time in my life.
The band doesn’t even try to be subtle or muted, and Brendon Urie just can’t help but belt as loud as he can when he’s singing Thom Yorke lyrics. You can’t deliver a Radiohead song like it’s a Panic at the Disco song and expect good results.

Damn, this cover is so good. The intensity in each member's playing really shows off, and Ryan Ross' "teasing" with the backing vocals ("Well, i'm afraid that i....") leading to Brendon resolving it at the end of the coda ("...i lost myself") is _really_ satisfying.
Everyday I watch Live in Denver, basically my blessing everyday lol. I legit cry because I miss when it was just them (although, if it wasn't just Brendon I wouldn't mind Dallon instead of Jon, I love Jon though). Karma Police is such a good song and Brendon singing it (with Ryan joining in) God their voices blend so well. Hopefully one day we'll be surprised and Beebo will finally not pretend Ryan doesn't exist (we all know it's true, he ignores it so much). And HOPEFULLY it doesn't end up like bloody MCR. I actually brought back out my black eyeliner and I wanted to grow out my bands for fringe. Jeez, I miss being young.

I'll never get over this. Brendon's crystal-clear tone over that gorgeous sweeping orchestra; the cello, the piano, the fucking XYLOPHONE. This is a masterpiece. Ryan's voice adds the edge that it needs, bringing it back down from theatrical into the post-hardcore-melodic-Chiodos-esque thing that they did so perfectly, in this era. God.
I love the sound of the screams at the beginning. Start - LOUD AF "This is by a band called Radiohead." - A little quieter. "The songs called Karma Police." -Almost non existent.

Damn, this cover is so good. The intensity in each member's playing really shows off, and Ryan Ross' "teasing" with the backing vocals ("Well, i'm afraid that i....") leading to Brendon resolving it at the end of the coda ("...i lost myself") is _really_ satisfying.

Everyday I watch Live in Denver, basically my blessing everyday lol. I legit cry because I miss when it was just them (although, if it wasn't just Brendon I wouldn't mind Dallon instead of Jon, I love Jon though). Karma Police is such a good song and Brendon singing it (with Ryan joining in) God their voices blend so well. Hopefully one day we'll be surprised and Beebo will finally not pretend Ryan doesn't exist (we all know it's true, he ignores it so much). And HOPEFULLY it doesn't end up like bloody MCR. I actually brought back out my black eyeliner and I wanted to grow out my bands for fringe. Jeez, I miss being young.

I'll never get over this. Brendon's crystal-clear tone over that gorgeous sweeping orchestra; the cello, the piano, the fucking XYLOPHONE. This is a masterpiece. Ryan's voice adds the edge that it needs, bringing it back down from theatrical into the post-hardcore-melodic-Chiodos-esque thing that they did so perfectly, in this era. God.
