She is such a great performer regardless what style she plays. She has such a great presence and shows her extraordinary talent flawlessly. Btw, she does not play a Strad (there are very few true Strad's out there) as her acoustic violin, it is a Guadagnini for those who are curious.

Contrary to belief, Vanessa Mae does not need a fancy electronic violin to work her magic. This is just a plain wooden violin that she is using...a plain wooden Stradivarius, that is. The lady is truly a prodigy; taking Rock and making Classical out of it and taking Classical and Rocking it around the clock.
So is the marriage of simply sublime and spectacular music played as a ménage a duet with an eye popping mini dress just to tease unbelievable music vs natures ultimate imaginary fantasy? Guess what ...it worked! Myself and any other red blooded male is thinking of you..humming this little tune while I fix my cafe au lait this morning!

Vanessa Mae has such long fingers. I wonder if she had concentrated on the normal road of pure classical music how far she would have gone but she is now regarded as a bit of an outcast by the purely classical class, fine violinist what ever your view of her is.
Ipoel Al-Harits This music was written that way, it's for an opera where the main character is a gypsy woman named Carmen. The "pop in my ears" you hear is Vanessa's personal technique and phrasing.
@no1knowledge Perhaps they view her as an outcast; but I suspect there are some sour grapes involved there. Simple fact; almost all the greats were "Outcast" by the musical establishment of their day. It is for later generations to appreciate their art.
These Bizet performances should quiet any nay-sayers as to her supposed lack of talent; I suspect the real rage comes from the fact that people find it grossly unfair someone can be so physically beautiful and also so talented AND have been given a monstrous will to have developed that talent to an elite level... life is not fair whatsoever, enjoy the glory that is uniquely her and let her be a spur to your own path of excellence before you get buried in the earth...
I completely agree with what you've said but it is comforting to know that she isn't without flaws... take that horrendous outfit she's wearing for instance...
