What a beautiful, intelligent woman, with such deep feelings where that violin became part of her brilliant mind which her body and limbs obey in such loyal and exact manner! Katica's sensitivity to harmony and execution of those notes elevate any person to a high degree of moral or spiritual purity or excellence. She deserves to be seen more all over the world. I only came across these videos about two weeks ago and I it is my loss not having done it before. More advertising perhaps?

The first part of this recording is bringing me back to the 30's and 40's when serious violin was really appreciated and particular the song When a Gypsy Makes His Violin Cry. Her playing here has the same soulful sounds. A truly great artist. George Traganos
Amazing!!!! At 4:40, as if the violinist wasn't at the top of her game with a magnificent, prodigious classical version of Czardas, the strings transition with some mystical bowings, and, voila, the lead trumpet guy flies off with an out of this world insanely awesome modern jazz trumpet version of Czardas, only to have the talented Katica return with a Paganiniesque finale! BRAVO!!!!!!!!
This is the best arrangement of Czardas for me. And she played it marvelously. No one could've played it better. It's fun, it's emotional, and it's adventurous.
Katika is different from other violin's performance that she likes to improve adding her own feeling to the traditional musical score, such she is doing in this song. She is more open, expressing simple melodies to enjoy the audience without needs to have a lot of the classic music knowledge, of course when is possible to do it. She made it simple.
