I wish people with acne prone skin knew how important moisturizing is. Many people with acne (oily) fear moisturizer and think that it will exacerbate oiliness and as a result will lead to more acne. Absolutely not the case at all. Acne is inflammation and moisturizing helps to replenish the lipids after cleansing (which is a must regardless of acne) and reduce inflammation. A moisturizer with niacinamide is perfect for acne prone skin

So glad to help! I haven’t been using the peel lately due to barrier damage I’ve been trying to heal for a while 😭 but when I do I use it in the AM & typically don’t need to skip the retinoid in the PM but you definitely can if it’s too irritating for your skin!
I’m a guy and just now getting into actual skin care…. I always thought you know that’s for girls bla blah blah however I always”suffered” from oily skin to breakouts to tons of sun exposure. Now that I can see and completely understand how important it really is to take care of your face I actually feel better about myself confident and to be honest low key I kinda like it when a girl is studying my face and some just flat out ask me “what is your skin care routine I have to know!” Favorite place to shop is target and definitely don’t mind asking a girl what she recommends……besides I do my routine at home nobody knows and besides skin is skin no matter your sex gender background ethnicities so on and so on Take care of your skin!

I would LOVE to see a sensitive/dry skin video! Especially if you could find some great products that don’t include Hylaronic or Polyglutamic Acid. I’m super highly sensitive to both those ingredients, PA isn’t in much so that’s not so much an issue but HA is in EVERYTHING! It seems to be especially in products made for sensitive and dry skin. I basically can only use VaniCream (other than the new moisturizer with HA). I want to go cruelty free but am struggling so hard to find options, especially with finding a great moisturizer! Hi!! I just recently found your channel and love it! I had a question concerning cleansers. I have oily/combination skin and am acne-prone. I cleanse morning and night but still have been having breakouts. I use the CeraVe foaming cleanser in the morning and CeraVe SA cleanser at night along with a .5% SA toner and the Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer. I am not irritated by either cleanser and do not find my skin overly dry. I am just curious if using a combination of these CeraVe cleansers is a good idea?

Of course happy to help! I recommend reapplying sunscreen throughout the day. When it comes to makeup sunscreen powders are my favorite way to reapply!

Applying a toner before washing your face, does nothing. The toner is there to re-establish the pH level of your skin after rinsing it with water. Also, all the good ingredients in a toner would be useless if you washed them off right away.
Toners were originally for balancing the pH because people used to wash with pure soap. Nowadays " toners" aren't the traditional kind. Leaving the toner mentioned in the video on for 10 minutes will certainly have an effect, it gives the active ingredients (chemical Exfoliants mostly) time to work. Leaving it on all day can cause irration to some people.

so question, I am on week 2 of using the foaming cleanser in the am & the pm, but am on day 5 of using the cerave sa cleanser; using this in am and the foaming at night; using the pm moisturizer after both. I am new to skin care & this is my first time ever using products on my face besides just washing, and I am not seeing results. Is this normal? I know everyone is different, but I am just not seeing results; I am actually seeing more... So i wasn't sure if it is not for me or if i need to give it more time... any advice?
Hey, that's totally normal. The SA cleanser is likely causing a purge in your skin... my skin definitely does that too so I have stopped the SA cleanser for now as I am already purging from tretinoin and the two together is too much for me. Give it 4-6 weeks. Good luck ❤
The rest of your skin care routine plays a large role too! If you’re using other things that have irritating ingredients that can continue to cause issues despite cleanser changes. If the rest of your routine is good there, try leaving the SA cleanser on for a few minutes before rinsing off 😊

Hello Abbey, I am new to your channel, I have combination skin but I wanted to mention the Japanese brand Hada Labo. Especially their SPF 50 PA ++++.....it's the blue packaging 90g... comes sadly in a jar, but it has a kind of balancing effect if you have combination skin,and I think also perfect for oily skin specially if you live in humid or more warm places...anyway I enjoy your channel, I always laugh 😉when you drop something!!!
