- Wanted to try one of these HDMI converters for the GameCube to stream the original Animal Crossing and I stumbled upon this one. Overall, it works and that's all I needed it to do, check out my full unboxing and demonstration. Hope you all enjoy it!

I also have this converter. But I'm not given that beautiful chime. I see "Gekkoboot r9.2 (with m.2 loader support" then it just lists off a bunch of other stuff

Thank you for this video. I’m currently about to buy this over an AV/RCA to HDMI converter because they automatically stretch it to 16:9. Sucks I’ll miss out on the upscaling but I haven’t heard/read too many good things about it anyways
I got one that’s a similar brand but it was complete bs, I purchased one and it stretched it out for sure, but the quality was AWFUL, it is even worse than the gamecube’s original resolution

I'm looking to buy one, but playing melee with lag doesn't feel very appealing to me at the moment.

Hi there, I haven't noticed any significant lag, it's been pretty smooth. Unfortunately, I sold my copy of melee a long time ago and can't give you a reliable opinion regarding if it'd perform well with SSBM. I am going to play Mario Kart Double Dash on stream next Thursday, so if you're interested, you may want to pop in and I can give a live reaction regarding lag 🥹... or I can link you to the vod after it's over!
OMG I have the same HDMI converter for Dreamcast well at least the same company! I will have to get it for the GameCube to play Animal Crossing!!
Funny thing is, I was lurking during your Crazy Taxi stream and that was the inspiration for grabbing a converter 😂... knowing that it's the same brand is tempting me to get the Dreamcast one too 😱

Hi. How is this with Amazon fire tv? I can not get it to work?
I got it recently and I put everything but for some reason my GameCube isn't working I hear it turn on but I can't hear disc turning and the light isn't working

@@TokiYakansa i just ordered the same one but from a different brand, looks a little different. i’ll let you know if it works for me. hopefully it’s not the tv. i’ve heard people say it won’t show a picture if the tv can’t scale down to 1080 or 720p
