The deepest parts of the ocean are genuinely so beautiful and amazing. What's ironic is that you can't see them without light ofc, but they evolved to be this way because of the lack of light at those depths. Beauty in irony.
@MikomikYT most of them evolved to be living in no light, high-pressure and lack of prey, and we being on land everyday and rarely see things like this is what makes people think they look ugly.
Something to consider would be adding some sort of scale when showing creatures like this. I’ve never really seen it done but having measurements or a common object to compare size with would be a great addition to videos like these.
Wow! Thanks for sharing our incredible discovery and content! We would love a tag in the description so that folks know where they can go to learn more about these amazing deep-sea animals. i love deep sea creatures, and the ocean in general. there’s so much out there we don’t know about, and who knows maybe the next thing we find will be even more scary and alien!
See this is why it’s so hard to depict what aliens would look like in a movie or show. We can’t even predict what undiscovered species on EARTH would look like😂

Space is cool and everything but we need to do way more ocean exploring first. There are still so many species undiscovered in the ocean and the more that get discovered the cooler it gets
It looks like its trying to be a squid and a jellyfish at the same time
"Meh. Let's just call it a slug" --scientists
Squiellyfish
Squids are molluscs too. Parallel evolution perhaps?
Jellyfish is cnidaria
Squid is mollusca, slugs are mollusca so it make sense
Also slug is the midpoint of the two phylogenies
Maybe it's mimicking them to deter predators!
For anyone wondering, the Midnight Zone comprises roughly 90% of the ocean.

Why wouldn't it be? It's total darkness there, so there is nothing to see anyway! Unless we, humans, go down and flood them with our lights.
