I absolutely love Alan Cassidy's drumming. Such tight, clean and crisp playing. Does not miss a beat or hit. One of the best Death Metal drummers out there...so underrated. A true natural talent.
And to play that clean and perfect every single night until like 11pm, pack up gear etc. sleeping in hotels or buses with a bunch of other sweaty, drunk dudes and then do it all again the next night is a talent of its own
3:16 holy moly, they kept going and started the song's outro during a live performance! Miasma is my all-time favorite TBDM song and I've never heard them progress beyond this point live, so even though they didn’t go all the way into the howling, fade-out finale, it still brings me absolute joy to hear this 😊
got to see the miasma tour with zach gibson behind the kit was AMAZINGGGGGGG! they played through almost all of miasma album i sat like 5 maybe 7 feet behind gibson and my jaw was just dropped to floor for the entire set.
I used to be able to play almost the whole miasma and nocturnal albums, obviously not as clean as Alan, Shannon Lucas was a huge inspiration of mine,wish I never stopped playing, now my kit collects dust with no room to set it up, maybe one day I’ll get back at it, with that said, don’t ever stop playing your instruments, you will regret it with every fiber of your being!!!!!!!!!

Funny story. That record is mostly BFD because Zach was having a ton of trouble recording these songs which is why he was not in the band very long after.
