I do understand there are bad dogs and they need to be put down, but that is up to the authorities to do so not you.
I couldn't agree more. Pit bulls were selectively bred to be how they are; and no amount of denying it from pit bull owners will change that. One of me best mates had his 8 year old daughter mauled by one. She spent a week in hospital and had her arm and face stitched back up. The neighbours, like every pit bull owner does, claimed their dog "would never hurt anything and would only lick you to death." And gave the same drivel as they all do claiming the dog's temperament is based on how they're raised. Well, that is a load of crap because their dog just got it in its head one day to wander into their yard where the girl was playing and then attacked her for no reason. It just suddenly homed in on her, ran at her and attacked. So yeah, I'm over everyone saying they aren't mean animals. Yes they are. They were bred to be how they are. And I agree- they should all be banned. These are not isolated incidences. It happens a lot and people still defend them 😡
@@bobtriezenberg4255 Sorry to hear about the girl. It gives me the heebie jeebies, to think that people are allowed to own this type of dog. As you say, it seems that at any moment they can just become killing machines. It is part of their nature. Definitely need banning.
Right! The chicken and the dog clip especially. The dog bared its teeth menacingly, whilst the chicken countered with its sharp beak and powerful wings. Years ago in NYC, when that city was still fairly civilized, I saw two ladies walking their dogs alongside Central Park. One had a golden retriever, one a pit bull. For no reason at all, and silently, the pit bull lunged at the retriever's belly and tried to gut it. Outlaw the damn things!
If the owners cannot handle the animal they should not have it. Of course they should be held responsible for it. If you can't be the leader in the pack, don't have a pack. Do NOT own a strong aggressive animal of any kind. Especially a pit bull. I own a chihuahua & would not want anything bigger or stronger. I couldn't maintain a large animal. I am female, 65, & have a very soft voice.😊
And many who fear them are rank cowards. Everything is certainly not for everybody and many people own things they really ought not have. Is it the animal’s fault? Is it the 500 bhp car’s fault? Is it the pistol or rifle’s fault?
you so wrong.......................... they are excellent family dogs if raised correctly. I can turn a ankle biter into a fighting dog. It is the Human who mistreats those dogs and giving them a bad rap. PS: I am 62 and own 4 Pit Bulls and I foster them also. In over 20 years I never had an issue because they are trained to sit, heel and lay down & 'Baby" which means they will lay down in front of a kid", they get along with kids, people & cats - that is all they need

It’s “Pit Bulldog”; they are Bulldogs (dogs bred for the sport of bull-running, then bull-baiting (not to mention lion-baiting, donkey baiting, badger baiting then dog-on-dog fighting as well as dangerous game catching).
I was walking down the street the other day when two pit bulls came charging up the street at me. I was preparing to get mauled but got lucky. I had a stick, which I swung at them as I was yelling at them, and they went around me. After my eight-year-old daughter suffered a severe pit bull attack (over four hundred stitches) I would not have minded if there were no pit bulls in existence. it would save children's lives of there were none on the planet. But I will open carry when I walk in the future. I'm 77 and I know that two pit bulls recently killed an old guy so I realize that it could happen to me.
As a kid i was out numbered couldn't run they were waiting about ten dogs or more coming down the hill on my bike i sped up fast yelled they parted like the Red Sea and i kept going you know it.

No, a dog's behavior is NOT a reflection of it's owners responsibility. Having a Pit Bull is like leaving a loaded gun on the coffee table in a room full of kids. Maybe nothing will happen but the odds are hugely higher than if the gun wasn't there. Ban Pit Bulls. The world doesn't need them. The owners just feel superior to others because they think they can handle the dog when others can't.
The pre-cursor to the breeded 'Pitbull' was from the early 1800s for fighting in a cruel blood sport known as “bull baiting”. One to two were set to harass a bull or bear for hours until the animal collapsed from fatigue, injuries or both. And since that time parts of human society have favored them and bulldogs as fighting dogs. Once bull and bear baiting was outlawed, the public turned their attention to “ratting”. This practice pitted dogs against rats in which they were timed to see whose dog would kill the most rats in the least amount of time. Ultimately, the public turned their eyes upon dog to dog fighting as it was more easily hidden from view and thus the law. Ratting and dogfighting both required more agility and speed on the part of the dog, so Bulldogs were crossed with Terriers “Bull and Terriers”, more commonly known as the first Pit Bull Terrier. So while Pitbulls may be nice and gentle most of the time, why would someone take the risk of having one in a domestic setting, when it's total reason for existing was to fight and kill. This animal was fine-tuned for one task. We are talking about an muscle bound animal that can weight up to 50 Ibs and can have a bite force of 240-330 pounds per square inch (PSI). And they have some pretty impressive teeth, claws and an instinct to keep attacking until it's target is dead.. In the USA, Pitbull are responsible for 66% of the human deaths (total 520+) by dogs each year. It only needs that one time for things to go wrong!!!!!
It’s in the breed. Anyone who argues otherwise doesn’t know pit bulls. I’ve known ones that never showed aggression their whole lives. I’ve also seen the dark side of ones their people claimed were harmless.
I’ve owned over 15 game bred pits not one has been aggressive towards me or my family, it’s not in the breed, pits were bred for bull baiting and hunting, the most aggressive dogs I’ve come across are healers and Rottweilers, it’s not the breed it’s the owner also 80% of pitbull attacks are actually not pits they get misidentified and puts a bad name on pits, you can look it up online that pits are the second most tolerable dogs behind golden retrievers

Wrong!! It is not the fault of the owner when a Pit Bull attacks totally unprovoked. This breed is bred to attack. My granddaughter is a testament to that.
You said this breed is bred to attack, that is because the owners train it like that. Friend has a pit bull from a pup and trained it properly and it does not attack anything or anyone at all. You can make a breed more docile with training.
You are an id*** again it is the fault of the owner and a lot of owners don’t take the extra care to train bullies, because they are very stubborn, and they always strive to be the alpha but you have to have a heavy head and discipline, and eventually they will simmer down which takes more effort to do than other dog breeds… that is the problem….. if you have ever owned a bulldog, then you’ll be able to contest to that otherwise you have no say so in the matter because you don’t know

Every time a pit bull kills a kid or some old person, the owner always says the same thing: "I never thought that dog would do something like that." They (the owners) really are that stupid.
in a way you and this video are correct, the owners are to blame just not how people in these comments think. the pitbull owners that are to blame arent trying to raise a mean dog or a fighting dog or some nonsense....no the ones who cause this problem are the people who pretend there is no difference between a pit and a lab and they raise them as if they were the same. genetics are real.....i know this makes people uncomfortable but its still true.

Please actually look up statistics about Pitbulls. They are unsafe. They cause by far the most plastic surgery and most SEVERE plastic surgery in children among all dog breeds whilst also being a less common dog. The severity of pitbull bites is also far above that of other breeds. Other breeds bite as warning or to tell you to bug off. Pitbulls bite to harm. The number of stories of well trained pits attacking people and pets for no reason is overwhelming. The number of videos of pits attacking for no reason is overwhelming. They have a fight-to-the-death reflex than can just randomly turn on, as that is what they were bred for.
most pitbull bite cases are not pitbulls. people call any dog that barely resembles a pitbull "pitbull". when you're being attacked by a dog you don't really think of what breed it is, if it's big and with short hair you're gonna say pitbull. when attacking, labs, terriers, all mutts, cane corsos, mastiffs, dogos, bulldogs, boxers, even malinois will be called "pitbulls" especially by these bait channels. watch the video again, you'll see most of the dogs in these videos are NOT pitbulls and it's blatantly obvious, but people don't notice. go to 5:20 on this video

I was confronted twice by pit bulls. Luckily, neither was in full attack mode. I instinctively stood my ground and raised my arms in the air making myself look as big as I could. The first incident was a standoff, probably because of the distance between the two of us. The second was a near miss. The pit bull was barking and snapping at my crotch. Fortunately, the owner interfered and grabbed the dog by the collar. He laughed it off, fully confident that this dangerous animal was in full control of its instincts. If the owner hadn't been there, I think I would have been attacked. As a consequence of these two incidents, I don't trust pit bulls, no matter how much the owner insists that they wouldn't harm a flea.
Everybody seems to keep crowing 'it's not about the dog NOR the dog bred, it's about the owner of the dog'. This video appears to show just a snippet of worldwide evidence to contradict that maxim. So with these Pit Bulls and Bully breeds, IS it really about the owners or is there something 'off' with the breeds themselves? This debate just doesn't appear to have a winner, still, and may go on for all eternity.

He was playful and loveable ..he slept with me and girlfriend in bed went for rides with me to work all places like any other dog i have had over the decades… then when it fully matured around 2 yrs +/-….i had to harness him when walking him as hed try to attack any and everyThing …small kids , dogs , birds …it was insane he was fine with me and anyone I was with but nothing or no-one could approach while he was out of home … i had a fullblood pit bull many years before that was The most loveable dog ever ,as easy going as the labs i have had over the decades…so inever bought into the “the breed was bad”theory …till my last (last ever) bulloxer, now i still think since he was a pet store pup that possibly he came from a bad line or an over bred (meaning g to many relatives or some type of over inbreeding) …but i wont have nor ever be around one again ,and im an absolute dog fanatic …the problem i see is , most can be and probably are great dogs .but the few that arent are lethal and seeing mine who was always loved and taught to be friendly just snap and attack TO KILL was to traumatizing … i luckily tackled him one time when he slipped his harness (in a split second) and dove into a boy and his small dog ..luckily the boy let go of his leash and ran one way while his dog ran another so my dog got thrown off long enough for me to dive on him…. It was terrifying seeing this little lap dog run around and towards me scared to death , but it probably saved its life by keeping my idiot (who was chasing it) in my area …and thankfully my dog didnt chase the boy or i may have been to late… i still loved that mean bastard till he died but he became a locked away dog (in my place always and walked only briefly with doublechecked leashes attached to a harness and a collar …which i think only made his aggression worse as i couldnt socialize him ..didnt have the heart to have him put down so i lived in fear he may escaped for years while feeling guilty as he was so loving to me and anyone in my family ..but i couldnt chance walking him publicly ,he was unusually strong for 60lbs ..almost as strong as my working 80 lbs black lab but was an instinctive killer not a lover boy like the lab(s) were… i swear its not a situation anyone wants to be in and i was super lucky a few times when he’d snap and id stop him (barely at times)… i loved that asshole and still tear up thinking about him finally dying at the vets.but he also taught me a lesson i was to stubborn to believe :its not always the owners that make a bad dog ,sometimes theyre to instinctively driven to kill for no reason and out of the blue … i dont want a mass extinction of them or anything but they are a dangerous weapon that can go off at any moment . I dont know if i could live with myself if had i missed stopping mine just once and he hurt or killed another person or animal for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON WHAT SO EVER!

Now bullies are all , or are close to becoming where it’s a crap shoot with high odds on any litter possibly having future aggressive pups … I mentioned above about a pit I had many decades earlier … I have to reiterate those circumstances… she was a reject from a person who wanted an aggressive pit… so she was abused , by all accounts in every way possible …. I was ignorant at the time so I took her after a quick meeting … I got lucky , so lucky .. she was to this day the most lovable , sweetest dog I’ve ever had … I ended up rehoming her to a large family with kids of all ages .. she had serious separation anxiety & destroyed my home when ever I went to work, so I had little choice ..… she became the children’s dog her whole life …. Today id never consider taking a dog from that situation , never mind rehoming it to a family with kids … and I love all dogs , it’s part of my dna … but I can’t risk another pit/ bully type dog …
@@vicpnut1friend- no one “ruined” this breed type. This breed was created and honed specifically for fighting. Dogmen have, for at least a century been avidly and heavily inbreeding these animals for gameness- the ability to quickly escalate into profound aggression, with an unrelenting purpose. They were specifically bred to be killers. Dogmen deliberately bred for the physical attributes as well as the mental ones- these dogs are deliberately not bred to be smart. Their amygdala is significantly larger than other dog breeds. Their brains also get flooded with endorphins at the prospect of and during a fight. This keeps them ferocious and also explains their ability to pretty much ignore all pain signals. Take a good look at the dogs in this video- during these attacks, the dogs don’t have snarling aggression. They are having the time of their lives. They absolutely thrive and get a high from fighting. The dogmen laugh when people talk about training or forcing these dogs to fight. There is no training involved. Many will attest to the fact that when the dogs realize they are headed for a fight, they literally drag their handlers to get to it. These animals are almost pure instinct. There is no training fix, and all that profound inbreeding makes for a highly unstable animal. They have medical problems as well- but there are countless documented attacks from pits that have been raised and loved by the same family- only to 2, 3, …even 8 yrs later attack and kill a family member. And then they go right back to the sweet , stupid mutts the people thought they were to begin with. I have heard estimates of 10% or more pit and pit mixes today have this kind of mental weakness. And there is no test for it, there’s no predicting it, and there’s no fixing it. And for those idiots who say “this isn’t a pit”- reality check- all bully breeds are part of the pit bull umbrella. We now read of daily maulings and weekly fatalities by this group of dogs worldwide. Are there good, gentle pits that never show any signs of aggression? Absolutely. But these no way to tell, and as for people thinking these sr4 “family dogs”- humans have bred dogs for years to serve a function. Physiology (form) follows function. The pit is bred to be hypermusclular, with a head 2-3x the size to be in proportion with its body. The head itself is mainly mouth and throat face gets its characteristic butt crack skull and large checks for the massive masseter muscles and their attachment points. I applaud people who 100% knowingly undertake a life with a pit bull- especially a shelter one. And these people acknowledge they are basically held hostage by their dog. There is no place in society for these dogs- there never was. Everything I’ve stated is easily researched with a few hits on Google- many articles written by dogmen themselves. The explosion of pits and mixes is a dark day in our world and shelters are now 60-90% full of them. Most people see these dogs in shelters and take one look and go- oh hell no. So I feel there is hope that we will eventually be rid of them. The problem lies with those individuals who become obsessively blind to the breeds origins and characteristics. They prefer to create their own narratives. And innocent individuals suffer for it. This acceptance of these dogs in society also makes it dramatically easier for illegal dogfight syndicates to continue- they can practically hide in plain sight. So this insane devotion really needs to stop. For everyone’s sake, including the dogs themselves

It is unfair to blame a breed specifically bred to display aggression. Firstly, aggression towards other animals and later towards humans. Okay, it is not fair; blame the breeders. But what to do now? Out 430 fatal to human attacks by dogs 284 or 66 percent were done by pit pulls. It is the breed, and that is where the work needs to be focused. The breeding.
I had one lock on to my left knee while out on a dog walk. It went for my dog who knew the plan and she ran behind me leaving me to face the music!! I was just chased by 2 unmuzzled Pit Bull Terriers released by "The Omen" (1976) 4 days ago myself. I stopped, turned around and said, "you better stop". They both stopped. Unfortunately, I did twist my ankle to where I could not walk. I had to limp home. I took a trip to the emergency room the following day for that reason. I never want to, but thought I was going to have to put both beasts down. Pit Bull Terriers are not referred to as "Death Row Dogs" (2008) without reason. This is because Pit Bull Terriers are not dogs, regardless of how adorable, cute, friendly, precious or sweet they may appear. Pit Bull Terriers are actually ferocious, ravenous, relentless, bloodthirsty hybrid/monsters, also referred to as mutants that were bred to search, chase, attack and kill their prey as quickly as possible. Monsters do what monsters do whether two-legged or four-legged. They were produced by mating an Old English Bull dog with an Old English Terrier dog which is a very dangerous mix. Unlike Man, dogs "Goofy - Man's Best Friend" (1952) are not living soul. "Dogs" (1976) "wolf wolf", "Devil Dog: The Hound of Hell" (1978), "Man's Best Friend" (1993), "The Breed" (2006), "Night of the Wild" (2015) and "The Pack" (2016) are beast of the field which means by nature, they are wild. Their smell, ears, nose, jaw structure, sharp teeth, tongue, fur, four legs, four feet, also referred to as paws and tail are all indicators of this, which is why their domain is outside, not inside. The Old English Bull dog and the Old English Terrier dog were each used in blood sport. A blood sport is the only sport where the intended outcome is the death of the opponent. Due to the Pit Bull Terrier's deoxyribonucleic acid commonly known as DNA, "it" is the ultimate miniature charging bull (El Toro), "Cujo" (1983) and "Jaws" (1975) combined meaning "it" is specifically bred to kill (BTK). What goes on in the wilderness goes on in the "Wilderness" (2006). It is very unfortunate that their advocates/bedmates/servants/poop scoopers/lovers/worshippers somehow seem to either not know or forget this altogether, then learn or are put in remembrance of this the very painful way. My wife is terrified of dogs and Pit Bull Terriers. She gets behind me, holds on tightly and cries when one is near. She has every right to be and to do so. They are not me. If I ever desire to have a pet, I will purchase me an aquarium, then adopt or rescue some goldfish to put in it. Til this day, I have not seen or heard any reports of anyone being bitten, dragged, mangled, mauled, killed or eaten by anyone's pet goldfish. Man likes peace.
Why don't you introduce to your wife breeds of dogs (I agree those others can't be classed as "dogs") such as the Golden Retriever and Pembroke Welsh Corgi? The whole dog species doesn't deserve to be seen like that.

Goats are very underrated animals. They are not big but they are very brave and can defend itself not only against dog but even against hyena or geppard (cheetah), especially if they have young offspring.
Some big rams get over 200 lbs, their wild ancestors (wild goat) have giant horns and thick necks, they can be vicious. I saw a video of a tiny ram headbutting a big cow, they both looked like they were paralyzed, kind of a hard watch but shows how ridiculously powerful they are

For those that wonder why (or how) American Pitbulls sometimes go after cows and horses without even being trained to and are able to be a real problem for these animals despite how large they are, it is because of what the American Pitbull was bred for. They have been bred and used to take on animals like bulls, bears, and wild boar for things like hunting, farm work, and combat sports like bull baiting, bear baiting, etc. The goal was for the dog to latch on, not let go, and work to tire the animal out or to cause the animal to fall by knocking it off balance or causing even more pain by doing the headshake. Even today people can see them being used for things like catching out of control cattle, hunting wild boar, and even used in bear baiting matches in places like Pakistan. Just like a rat terrier is likely to attack a hamster, a Pitbull is likely to attack a horse or cow. It is up to owners to be responsible with their dogs and make sure they do not get into trouble.

It's not Goat
@@kingafridi-Separatist7777 I think it's a tiger
For those that wonder why (or how) American Pitbulls sometimes take on cows and horses and are able to be a real problem for these animals despite how large they are, it is because of what the American Pitbull was bred for. It is up to owners to be responsible with their dogs and make sure they do not get into trouble.
no its because the horse was tied up lol otherwise we saw what one kick did to him
@@Ararimu9 There are videos and news stories where the horses are not tied up that sometimes even end in the horse unable to defend itself.

I have always known that.. LOL...
Despite their size they are very brave creatures.
People say you can say whatever they want about a pitbull but if that pit messes with the wrong dog it'll be the end of him
It is unfair to blame a breed specifically bred to display aggression.
Why is it even legal to have these dogs, just dont get it
its the owner fault !!!!!!!!

I had one lock on to my left knee while out on a dog walk. It went for my dog who knew the plan and she ran behind me leaving me to face the music!! LOL Their jaws become automatically snapping until they lock on to something. I stayed calm, bent over the got hold of the collar.... I think it thought it was the owner did that and thankfully it let go. MRI showed 'complex trauma damage to the meniscus with a flap'.... and four deep puncture marks which bled quite a lot. It's left me with a limp on that side. Lucky escape. 6 months later we were in the garden and it threw itself at our wooden back gate and clawed and clawed to get in. Thankfully the gate was locked and our dog was inside. It's dead now and so is the owner. Frightening experience.... totally unexpected and random.
My dog was forever being attacked, luckily he wasn't so smart as to hide behind me, so when approaching dog got near and their focus was on my dog, they would be met by a cracking drop-kick.
Why didn't you reach for your firearm and plug it?

NO PET, NO DOG.
I see that it is human who is troubling the horse, whereas horse is suffering two obstacles at the time 😢😢
It's sad, this horse is either very "disciplined" or just very gentle, they could easily demolish that dog but they're just scared and panicking
In the country where i live, Greece, the law sais, that if you kill an animal, you must pay 30,000 euros. if you leave free a hybrid dog like pit bulls etc you also have the same fine. Since this law was passed, such incidents have been reduced to a minimum.
What if it's in self defense? I just saw in USA news that a man was sentenced to jail because he killed a pitbull that was killing his dog :/

Pitbulls were purposely bred to have this behavior. It's more of an instinctive behavior than a trained aggressive behavior.
I hope that owners of all featured here Pitbulls were sued to their last pennies.
Just look at how many grown, brave men are just standing around looking at the dog attack the horse at 3:20
I was just chased by 2 unmuzzled Pit Bull Terriers released by "The Omen" (1976) 4 days ago myself.
@@ikarugaxx3749 No! My wife may have experienced Bowser or any one of movies listed in my previous comment when she was younger. Some veterans who have served in combat are not the only ones who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, commonly referred to as PTSD. It is what it is.

There is resemblance between pitbul and America .
Dogs rate No 2 amongst animals for cowardly character. It's their human masters who get first prize.
